Dan makes his mistakes but i hate seeing him blame himself all the time whether we lose or not, he dont deserve any hate for how well he changed this team around within 4 years
Goff still was a little off. Three and out first two possessions when we needed to answer blow for blow. Good numbers at the end of the day, but let the game get away from him too much.
What a team you all have, good gravy. Allen is MVP imho. Guy is unstoppable. He can throw, he can run, he reads a defense maybe better than anyone has in decades. What a beast....
Is anybody else confused why they went for the onside kick with 12 min left? I usually like Campbell’s aggressive style, but that decision made no sense to me.
I would think everybody. I didn't understand it, not with that much time left. I don't think Chicago's gonna be an easy game next week either. I'd hate to see us play in that weather, like the weather Buffalo played in last week, Where you couldn't see where you were at on the field everyone was slipping around. Is some fans will say that's football. They're right it is, but there's a reason they don't have SuperBowls in outdoor stadiums that get cold. They're not gonna have a Super Bowl in Chicago or Green Bay.
At first I hated the call.... but after thinking about it, I'm ok with it. We had to do something different because the defense just wasn't going to stop the Bills. By going for the onside kick we limit the time they can take off the clock and maybe get the ball back. Kick it deep and they can take 6-7mins off the clock and really limit our chances of coming back. The return to the 3 was a bit flukey. Mobile QBs like Allen and Jackson are a major weakness for us. For whatever reason, our guys just get too excited and forget their assignments and big plays get made. Our defense had no chance of stopping the Bill's last night, so why not try something different and maybe hold them to a FG? I don't know... easy for us to sit hear and pick the game apart and criticize. I think this loss helps more than hurts, except for the added injuries.
Absolutely boneheaded call. In the NFL you have 8% chance of getting that ball. Better to let your D do their best and see what happens. Maybe they could have finally gotten them stopped, or at least held to 3. Dan gifted um 7pts, and probably cost us the game.
It showed the league something for sure... The Lions and the Bills are the two toughest in the league because you will need to score 40 plus against either. A lose but with 10 plus IR come on... we will see them again soon.
Lol, dude, clearly you and those that agreed don’t understand the game of football. How when you literally watched the game is beyond me. So, let me help you. See, in the game of football there is an offense and defense. So, most times in a shootout/that many points. That means the defenses are terrible. Each team has a list of injuries hence how each offense was basically able to walk down field. If either team runs into a team with a good defense and just a competent offense. It’s going to be a wrap,🤦🏾♂️. No need to read replies.
I don’t blame Coach for that onside kick. Our offense goes 3 and out on the opening drive, on defense at the start of the second half and the Bills are seemingly scoring at will. He needed another possession. Or two.
When u think of it, suppose they dont recover the onside kick. Most times the balls at the 45-50 instead of the opposition 30. Still gotta have your d make a stop. Yeah its a shorter field but if you can hold em to a 3 i understand his thinking
Vildor,Turner,Alexander don't belong in the NFL, those three got torched over and over again. You can't fall all over the place and miss text book tackles, Dan that onside kick with 12 minutes left was a bad move. In the end it went from a blow out to a close game but some of these guys are horrible players that are filling in.
Nobody was believing in their defense at that point. What nobody anticipated was that the special teams would also fail. The biggest failure this game was the o-line didn't show up today. The Packers moved the ball at will last week, but at least our offense was unstoppable
Coach, you did well. Don't hang your head. GO after the next team. I'm not sweating it , it's only the second loss. GET THAT NEXT WIN. WE ARE STILL IN THIS LET'S DO. WE GOT TKO BIG DEAL , WERE STILL STANDING AREN'T WE. SHAKE IT OFF NEXT GAME. LOVE YAH COACH DAN. ONE PRIDE, ONE TEAM. 313.
Campbell said he is at fault for not prepping players well enough. The players were prepared. They scored 42 points. He stupidly called for an onside kick with 12 minutes left. That may have cost them the game.
Incorrect. I've watched this team all year. Buffalo came out with a sense of urgency, like their lives depended on it. Detroit was not in this mindset, which is required when you play a team of equal or better talent. If they meet again the Lions will be ready from the jump mentally.
Just think if the coach didn’t cost you the game, that onside kick was basically a free 7 points and look you lost by 6. The lions won’t ever make the Super Bowl until he gets his ego in check.
Didn't look bad. Yea, didn't look great, but didn't look bad. The Bills came out hungry and ate. Tough home loss at this time in the season, but we got this. Go Lions!
Yes a very bad call. The odds are so great against a turnover and I cant believe coach thought it would work. Statisitcs dont show that. Especially when they could not stop the Bills offense. Way to early in the game to take such a huge gamble. That is a move for the very end when you have no other options.
@@TT41401 no, the chance for the possession or redzone defense to hold them to 3 is better than letting the bills drain the clock on their next 2 possessions. better to take your shot there than allow the other team to dictate the clock/rest of the game.
I am disappointed about the loss but it’s lot like they lost by a lot, it was a very close game. That onside kick at the 13 minute in the 4th was a mistake. We lost 4 minutes. We probably would not have one still but it could have been a higher chance.

He is to blame. He made the ridiculous call for an onside kick (93% chance of failing) with 12 minutes remaining while only down 10! Basic arithmetic says that is a stupid decision. Much higher percentages of a turnover or forced punt. After each team scored they were still down 10 points but now have 33% less time @ 8 minutes.🙄
If our defense was healthy and just got a sack or two this game would have been completely different. And sure, their secondary was injured, but I do believe an all healthy Lions vs an all healthy Bills it would have been just as tough, but the result flips.

Defense let down today, Jared Goff was Amazing today! We will be fine we still have the 1 seed, but we do need to lock in!
I mean the injurys caught up, it's that simple. McNeil and davis injurys could be a nail in the coffin, hope I'm wrong...
@@harrellwilliams5010they should only be out for one game. Or if we’re lucky they’re back next week.
Goff still was a little off. Three and out first two possessions when we needed to answer blow for blow. Good numbers at the end of the day, but let the game get away from him too much.
Down 2 end of the first, down all game to come back and ONLY lose by 6. “Didn’t lose, We just ran out of time.” Solid Game.
Lol, that's what losing is, being down when you're out of time.....
Bills fan here. If that onside kick didn’t happen, this may have ended a lot differently. Till we meet again…
Lions fan here.. I agree with you that was a ridiculous decision.. but hey hats off to you my friend 👍
We couldn’t stop yall consistently on offense it is what it is
What a team you all have, good gravy. Allen is MVP imho. Guy is unstoppable. He can throw, he can run, he reads a defense maybe better than anyone has in decades. What a beast....
No team is invincible. Several weeks left for Eagles/Vikings to make mistakes too.
Man what a credit to Dan in the way he takes ownership for things. Just an awesome leader!
We still have a great season Lions❤ considering we have a lot of injured players. No retreat No surrender
Losing Carlton Davis and Alim McNeil is very very worrying. I don’t have a lot of faith in our secondary to hold up with Carlton.
The secondary! How bout the defense as a whole. It's a MASH Unit!
Not an ounce! Everyone coach can get better, just like players. Still love you, coach!
@@lukeesham2562 i agree 100% stupid move. Also not calling time out to slow game down. Had 3 time outs left. Stupid, stupid, stupid coaching.
That’s exactly right. Tough as nails. One loss is not the end of the world.
Didn’t the bears almost beat the lions and the score was 23-20 😂😂
Lol, dude, clearly you and those that agreed don’t understand the game of football.
Love our Team!! Watch it and was screaming!!! Bills played hard!!! Dan Campbell is a great tough coach... Let's go Lions!!! 💪💪🔥🔥🔥...
I don’t blame Coach for that onside kick. Our offense goes 3 and out on the opening drive, on defense at the start of the second half and the Bills are seemingly scoring at will.
He needed another possession. Or two.
The onside kick was questionable and our defense got cooked!
Yea that onside was definitely the dumbest thing to do, made us seem very desperate but we didn't need to when we were only down 10 with 12 min still
When u think of it, suppose they dont recover the onside kick. Most times the balls at the 45-50 instead of the opposition 30. Still gotta have your d make a stop. Yeah its a shorter field but if you can hold em to a 3 i understand his thinking
@@whereshunter6354 I disagree. That call was stupid.
💯 agree, how da fuq vildor wears an NFL jersey is beyond me.
Jared had 400 yards 🎉
Almost 500.
He had over 500, including rushing with passing!
Stat padford
Don't forget the 5 TDs. Against any other team, that's a solid win.
@@jhopkins213 cope. Season is over.
The first onside kick is the reason we lost!!! That's on you Dan!!!! 12 mins left and you didn't believe in your defense..
Nobody was believing in their defense at that point. What nobody anticipated was that the special teams would also fail. The biggest failure this game was the o-line didn't show up today. The Packers moved the ball at will last week, but at least our offense was unstoppable
Is it though? Bills are very capable of bleeding the clock and preventing any opportunity for 2 more complelte drives ending in TDs.
Also, I think we all saw how the defense was playing today. Let’s have an honest moment, it wasn’t their best.
The team lost by six and Dan gave the Bills seven free points.
Did you watch TBE game. Hoe could you possibly believe in the defense in this game
Asxa lions fan i appreciate all the positive comments from the bills fans much love back at ya
Lion were behind 3 scores and came back to lose by 6 points when are defense are banged up... We are champs 🦁
Just think if the coach didn’t cost you the game, that onside kick was basically a free 7 points and look you lost by 6. The lions won’t ever make the Super Bowl until he gets his ego in check.
"It is what it is". Love the guy.
What was it?
cant be mad at 90 point game! the past injuries hurt us the most. weak first half but we all know the Lions are strong!
He could have wheeled out the excuses. He could have pointed the finger. But no. 'It's on me' - that's leadership.
Let’s put this behind and handle business going forward. Both these teams are contenders, Goff and Allen are the best in the league.
Bills are just fantastic. Thats whats up! This Bills fan would love to meet back up with you guys in the SB!
True dat. They are rolling right now, and have a ton of confidence. They look like the best team in the league, no denying it.
Can’t be mad man, understand that you can beat teams scoring 40 in a game everytime. The lions will get better
Didn't look bad. Yea, didn't look great, but didn't look bad. The Bills came out hungry and ate. Tough home loss at this time in the season, but we got this. Go Lions!
LOVE these LIONS ❤this franchise will stand tall, one game at a time!!!
What a coach y'all have!!! Love DC he embodies the city he coaches for and so do the Lions
Lions lost by 1td not 2 or 3.. it wasnt a shut out.. they played against one of the best teams and with all the injuries they lost by 7.. not bad
Like he holds everyone accountable including himself
Love this guy. We are in good shape
Live and learn. We move on to the next. Great game by buffalo and hope we can settle the score in February.
it's only one loss, it's okay, coach. get the next one 👍
Tough loss. We played good but they played better. Good win Bills. Fortunately this is our least consequential game in this last stretch.
One of the few coaches that take accountability for the loss, Lions will rebound next week.
What a coach Dan is great fr taking all accountability but I don’t know if we win a Super Bowl with 18 players on defense injured
Love our coach! Doesn’t make excuses about losing players. It’s ok we’re 12-2 nothing to be mad about at all. We will win the last 3 🦁💙
That onside kick with 12+min to go was a bad call. Still rooting for my Lions.
Why was it bad call? Defense couldn't stop Bills all day?
BEST DAMN COACH EVER.. can't win them all my Friend... y'all will come back 👍
One thing about this Lions team, they don't give up! They give it hell right to the end!! 12 and 2, I'll take it!!! Gettem next week. 🙂
No more onside kicks just for the heck of it.....
OK Coach!
Didn’t have faith in his defense to consistently get the stops can’t blame him for that
@@johnwill3198we needed to win the possession battle.. if we keep doing this aggressive calls we'll get better at them
Rest of the season pretty much practice for the offense now this is what wins superbowls
Dan is the man, better to lose now than in January GO LIONS YOU GOT THIS !!!
How about let's not kick an onside kick so early. That lost us the game, not saying we were gonna win if we didn't cause the Bills definitely looked better than us.
Defensive game plan was terrible. No spy…. Just gave Allen all the time and space to run his offense. Baffled by the lack of pressure or spy
As a life long die hard lions fan.....knowing the bills lost to the rams last week....I knew they'd be chomping at the bit to hit us in the mouth. We still in playoffs....we still probably got home field advantage.....we still 12-2 LETS FREAKING GO!!!
Bills fan here. ❤ & respect for MCDC / Detroit Lions! You guys are Legit! Best team in the NFC!
Chances of even making it to the superbowl let alone winning it are now gone with david Montgomery being out for the season..
Bills fan here, Lions Head Coach is great. Lions Bills Superbowl. I respect this team and loved this game. All those guys balled out. Both defenses were missing key personnel. Can't wait to play each other at full strength.
Why have a news conference when you can’t hear the ?
DC covering for a bad patchwork defense. It’s the hand he’s dealt currently. Sucks.
Absolutely love how this man wears the responsibility entirely for his team. He will not allow negative media questions to get to his players.
I like how he’s taking the blame for the loss. When they win he gives the credit to the guys. He’s a great coach for this alone.
As a bills fan I'd love to play for this guy he's so real and honest.
As a bills fan, I'm rooting for Detroit all the way. If it's not us, it's gotta be the lions
Man, so proud of this team!! We are a bunch of fighters. The Bills are damn good. I can’t wait for the SB for Bills Lions round 2! This is what football is all about.
Last time we played the Bills, we played them better last game vs this game. That’s unacceptable.
We needed to lose this one. It gives the coaching staff a chance to evaluate where the holes are and fix them. The injuries hurt bad but we can build around what we have. Can't win them all.
Got to quickly lick our wounds, and get back to it! Hell of a game and effort. Always sucks loosing any game, i just hope we can take something away from this. Dan always surprises me with his poise on the podium. This man has a way with words, and will find a way to bounce our guys back!!!
“It’s not about how hard you can hit,… But how hard you can GET hit, & KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!”
Seriously couldn’t be more proud of the fight & GRIT this team gives every step of the way. Our defense is chock full of injuries, & we still brought it back at the end. No one gives up on this team, & that’s the true heart of a champion. Just re-imagine this game with Hutchinson playing 😏 TOTALLY different game. LFG LIONS!! 💪🦁💙🖤🩶 We know we’ll see these guys again. And next time, we’ll be ready 👊💥
The Williams played a good game. They are a good team. They won this time, but they are not better than the LIONS.
It’s insane how many injuries we have. The fact that alim and Davis might be out for the season sucks so much. We have to win out and even then, success in the playoffs isn’t guaranteed especially with all these injuries
💙🦁💙WE ARE A GREAT TEAM🦁💙🦁I LOVE MY TEAM💙🦁💙
inexcusable decision to go for the first onside kick. Gave up 4 minutes out of 12
Why didn't they use timeouts?
Good fight tonight, losing is bad but you can't win every game. Hope we get to see a rematch this year.
