Excellent explanation of the Tubular cast on/Kitchener stitch on circular needles. I almost gave up on it until I watched your video and followed along. You give such clear lessons! Thank you!!

Thanks for a great video! I’ve been a fan since the days you taught sewing classes like remake cushions.

Great video, I want to know what is the difference between your method and simple Kitchener stitch without the your method. Please reply me as soon as possible. I am knitting a sweater for my husband.

Good question! The extra rows is what forms the tubular shape so it looks like the cuff is actually folded under. There are several methods to doing Kitchener, so after you do the setup rows, do any form of Kitchener you like!! 👍

Really great tutorial, Aurora! You are so clear with your instructions and video. I have a question about tension when using the darning needle: how do you ensure the bind-off won’t be too tight? Is it trial and error, or is there a trick to tensioning so the bind off stays somewhat loose? Thank you!!

Hey Kitty! That's actually a great question. When in doubt, leave it loose. You can always gently pull one stitch after another after another to tighten them up after your kitchener is all done!

Hi Aurora! First of all, your videos are a pleasure to watch. I never write in the comments, but I’m hiijacking this comment section on your most recent upload (I don’t even knit - I crochet, lol) to kindly request you make more SEWING tutorials!
I discovered your tutorial for blind hems from National Sewing Circle on Pinterest and quickly wished ALL the tutorials were by you. Your explanations and the way you break everything down is very clear and great for beginners. The world needs a complete sewing series from you! (And if it already exists somewhere, please let me know).
    Thanks so much!

Aw Maura! You are just so sweet! Thank you for the inspiration; I'll see where I can find time to maybe put that together. I absolutely love to sew, and haven't taught any sewing lessons in a long time! ❤️
