- If you're looking for a neat bind-off for 1x1 ribbing or an alternative to the traditional tubular bind-off, check out today's #knitting tutorial on the Italian Tubular Bind-off. All you need is a tapestry (yarn) needle!
Summary of steps:
Setup 1: Insert tapestry needle into 1st stitch as if to purl, leave on needle
Setup 2: From the back, insert tapestry needle into 2nd st as if to knit, leave on needle.
Step 1: Insert tapestry needle into 1st st as if to knit, take off needle
Step 2: Insert tapestry needle into 2nd st as if to purl, leave on needle
Step 3: Insert tapestry needle into 1st st as if to purl, take off needle
Step 4: From the back, insert tapestry needle into 2nd st as if to knit, leave on needle
Rep Steps 1-4.

Your normal speed is good but I had to slow you down to 0.5 because my brain is just not getting it as I was already so annoyed with myself and stressed from watching other video tutorials. Playing it on 0.5 makes you sound drunk and it makes me laugh and actually did help to ease off the annoyance and stress I felt. Thanks again!

Like others, I watched several videos to learn this bind off and yours makes the most sense. Thank you for explaining that there is a one-time two-step set up that DOES NOT REPEAT! This was not clear to me so the first effort came out quite unusual - bound but odd. Now I am no the neckline and will nail it - thanks!!
