Great video as always keep them up the first time I made them frames mine broke but as I learned more i made better ones I used I bolts in mine and 2×4s they are a tank thou out lasted three beams I had lol may I ask on your PVC beam is a log in the end or left empty I was thinking maybe some concrete in the end but not sure yet.
I put a treated post in a cross frame and anchored the bottom and slit the pipe over it and left about a foot sticking over the post so i could tuck hides in. Its solid as a rock. I wont ever need another beam. Now i like the log for looks so i may build one down by my teepee for vidoeing.
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I've did the log smoothed them and I didnt treat them but I never do alot of deer hides just what I and my brother take so they rot on me I do everything else on one in my shop on a wooden beam made from a 2x6 folds ups in the wall I love it, beaver I do on plywood then turn it over and nail it on the other side
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors not a whole lot of them around here I guess I catch some about every 5 or 6 years or so but it's like two at most but I only did deer on the log all small critters go to the shop to be fleshed out
No. Now you can use some but its not necessary. As long as you want it to dry hard you dont need it. Ill he using this to wrap leather knife sheaths for a primitive look and lacing on tomahawk heads im gonna make . Also may back a bow with some
Watch my brain tan video it may help some. I just didnt keep going over the same steps like fleshing and dehairing. Whatch the first half of brain tan till i get hair off then pick up here

Hi, so making rawhide you don't need any tanning solution at all?
