- Let me begin by saying that I did not intend for this video to be this lengthy lol. Anyways here is part 2 of me putting my 535i back together. I tore down a bad cylinder head and transferred all of the internals to a good core. It was a time consuming task but I'm glad that I can move forward to the next phase of the project.
I hope that this video encourages someone looking to work on their 12 valve cylinder head, it may be time consuming but well worth it in the end if your'e looking to save money.

Hey! I noticed you didn’t use a washer between the rocker arm and the rocker lock, what kind of clearance did you leave between the two? I assembled my entire head without the washers on accident and I really don’t feel like taking it all back apart 😅. I assume it’s fine without the washer?
I was told to gat it 0.11-0.12
@@12VDHuey I read that as well. No issues without the washer? I got the IE rocker locks made of aluminum. Are you using steel?
@@evilinthebrain I did break 2 rocker arms on cyl #1 a few months ago. Not really sure what happened exactly but I blame the quality of Bilstein on that, casting doesn't look great. I had ran that cylinder head for years without an issue
