My 10 yards of zipper didn't have the fabric poles. It also came with metal end stops but also these little u shape metal pieces I can't figure out what they are or how to install them. Do you know what these are?
Hi Zack- I am not sure what that might be. That does not sound like any of our products. You might want to reach out to the company who made them/where you got them.
Sorry, we learned a lot in a the first years and haven't eliminated older videos cause they are still useful. Here is a video for how to put the sliders on when you don't have the extra fabric: ua-cam.com/video/v5yz75hXNVw/v-deo.html
Hi Heidi, we were using the Apple Green and Atom Red colors in most of this video. See the following link for Zippers by the Yard and all colors: www.byannie.com/zippers/zippers-by-size/zippers-by-the-yard
All of our zippers are #4.5 nylon coil. Here is a pretty good link that helps you determine the size of a zipper you already own: www.sailrite.com/Choosing-a-Replacement-Zipper-Slider
Since the teeth on the zippers are nylon, it actually can be cut with a rotary cutter no problem. We often cut them with our rotary cutters and stitch right across the teeth as well.
I’m enjoying a channel but it’s not as my easy as you make it look I tried for two hours the first time I can get one side and then I can’t get the other side in and I went out but zippers
Love you. so clear. I am a beginner bag maker so I need to learn a lot. Thank you for this video.

I clicked on the video to learn about the zipper and then I saw the bag... Now, I also would like to know more about the bag! :)
What do you do when you don't have the fabric strips at the beginning? I am still in search of a tutorial on this, so far I haven't found one.

Thank you for making it look easy, very helpful too. Jess
My rotary cutter wouldn't like it very much, OUCH. I would recommend an old pair of scissors for cutting

@@PatternsByAnnie Or you could keep a specific rotary blade just for zippers. Hope this helps :)
