I actually was a beta tester for this game. There weren't too many bugs/glitches except for the bosses sometimes. Kraidgief and Doctor Willy sometimes wouldn't advance to their next stage when called. Mainly people complained about the difficulty of The Guy but that wasn't due to any bugs really.

But it'd be amazing to know if a such program exists that can produce perfect runs for a wide variety of games. Currently, computer scientists are teaching neural networks how to play games.

i think these are moreso called "pain games" or something people think/thought kaizo games were that when kaizo just means remix excruciating challenges that are designed to be as painful as possible "endurance tests" feels like a good name for them

Hell, one the later parts of the game literally has a WinXP era error message trap show up in order to trick you, so the dev clearly knew the game was crash prone. XD
The moment I heard Bloddy Tears from Castlevania II Simon's Quest at 4:52 is when I pounded the like button. Before that, I didn't know WHAT to think of this. I've never heard of I Wanna Be The Guy, but it looks...(Insert adjective here) :P
this game isn't actually very difficult once you know all the tricks, it's just horribly unbalanced and buggy in a lot of places. i still loved the shit out of it when i was in 3rd grade
The game literally prides itself on cheap difficulty and shoddy game design. That's its entire shtick. That being said, there are some REALLY clever moments here - that Tetris part, although total trial and error, IS super clever. Credit where credit is due.
@@Lefty7788tinkatolli it doesn’t really do that trial and error stuff in my opinion. The only iwbtg type game that does that to a t is I Wanna Kill The Happil 2 and other similar games. But even then, those games are usually reviled and hated by most the community.
Love how, after the railroad section, the moon dragon enemy is easier than both the Megaman dragon AND the Yellow Devil. I know there are HPs in Megaman, but still... those games were Nintendo Hard.
At first I was like "this just looks like normal I wanna be the guy." Then I noticed that there weren't any save points. Kudos to any who did this rta without savestates lol.

Only the og iwbtg crashed that often. Every fangame after was more stable than the og.
