Nerlens Noel is a great comp. Been binging your videos and it's been a huge help for me building my draft board past the lottery. Thanks for the high quality content
I don't know how you manage to do this, but every time I see you covering one of these players, I feel that he fits perfectly with my Celtics, it doesn't matter who he is.
Funny enough half way through the video I was comparing him to JaVale McGee, Nerlens Noel, and Jarrett Allen I definitely loved watching him grow at Kentucky over the years, he definitely needs to be less overzealous and do what guys like AD do and use their size/length to block shots and not bite on fakes and jump after the ball is released. Ik he probably won’t be as good as a JaVale McGee, Nerlens Noel or Jarrett Allen etc but why does a player like him who’s similar to good centers be projected to go mid second-undrafted because if you’re getting a player like a Noel for example he’d probably go in the first
JaVale definitely came to mind but Noel and Allen's ability to shoot it, at least somewhat, made them earn the comp. Also Richards is a mostly 2-foot/launchpad jumper like Noel.
Because of his strengths he’s a very good defensive center with offensive capability in the post or on the block. If he tightens up his passing/playmaking for other players he’s legit. I would love to see him on Golden State squad as a second round pick up. He doesn’t need a 3 point shot if you got 3 to 4 players who can shoot 3’s and make plays off the dribble.
You'd think that but so many players look great in college but just can't cut it in the NBA, too many weaknessess. I'm not saying this guy, but most 2nd rounders never see the court because they just have glaring problems and there are just better players on earth and only 450 active plus 60 two way players get to be in the NBA at any given time.
@@bpdmf2798 I agree but a lot of players have potential but don’t get the time to develop especially bigs. They are used for dunks/rebounds/ defense and don’t get the ball as much. I think only few organizations can turn a regular player to a back up/ role player like Miami.
@@Multiswagbeast Miami has done well with some guys, their a top tier organization but I have no doubt that there is a list a mile long of Miami drafted 2nd rounders and 1st round busts and 2 way guys who just couldn't cut it and Miami as an organization can't develop what isn't there to be developed. To be best 450 out of nearly 8 billion people means more than effort or skill or talent or development, it means all that together plus injury luck plus so much more. To really think that your favorite team is so special that they could grab a few 2nd rounders in the same draft and just make them salvageable as even bench role players the most competitive league is uninformed at best, delusional at worst.
My player comps are strictly game oriented. I make my comparisons based upon the similarities in movement/play style/scoring profile and other things, with other present or past NBA players. Otherwise, there would be absolutely no point or reason to compare players strictly based upon their statistical output or impact, because that takes far too much guessing and not enough actual analysis. Obviously not everyone is going to stick in the league. Richards is a G-League/2-Way guy with the potential to earn a role in the league. If you couldn't see that's what I've been doing, the issue isn't with me...
Welcome to Charlotte!
Finally starting to blossom

He kinda reminds me of jarret allen too

Congrats on 10k
10k yessuhh
Can you do CJ Elleby next? Noticed he wasn't on any of your draft boards, I think he's worth a flier in the 2nd.
comparison: Dale Davis/Chris Wilcox
He gonna be better
42 pick, hope i hope this kid progress fast..
Great draft pick for a Boston/Miami/Toronto veteran team that will only need him to play to his strengths and can plug him in immediately.
So underrated this dude look better then wiseman, more athletic better defense can also play down low perfect for the Timberwolves.

thanks! considering drafting Reggie Perry or Nick Richards for 30 man dynasty league...thoughts?

Or Miami if they trade a few players they don’t use for a pick or two
No, I want him on the '22 Hornies 😡
My favorite colleague team is Kentucky and nick Richards is my favorite player and the hornets is my favorite NBA team
Why didnt the Celtics get this kid??? Happy for Charlotte for the pick!!
Damn you was right on the money HORNETS BOUND
My Warriors pick this big man 👌
@Jaden Boisrond you got it right the first time
This young man is exactly what the Hornets need. Mark my words, he will ball out if he starts catching lobs from Lamelo. Future star for sure.
Looks like u were right
@@daakhi4p813 feels nice for once
Knicks will be nba kentuky U i would love Richards to get drafted and go to the knicks with a late 1st round or early second rd pick
Great analysis. I'm hoping the Spurs are smart enough to take Nick with their 41st pick.
I rep that too
He reminds me of Jarred Allen if he can be that for the hornets that’s a win for them.
I'd like to see him on the Knicks Backing up Mitchell Robinson
Nah backing up Bam at Miami
I hope the Knicks draft this dude.
Miami should trade down for multiple player in the second round. Could get great role players

Best fit Lakers 🤞🏾
We might find out.

Javalle Mcgee type of a player but not the same kind of an athlete.
WHO DAT
Good analysis but your player comps for everyone are far too optimistic.
