I have to say, yes certainly, it's an improved de-esser, even over T-De-Esser. For my use case however, the free Techivation T-De-Esser is doing fine. That said, it doesn't mean I won't upgrade later, just not now.
My big thing was getting an upgrade on my Mastering limiter section, and well mission accomplished there with an LVC Clipped-MAX going into the Venomode Maximal 3.

it's hard to beat the free one isnt it. It basically already works perfectly fine.
If you have the t-de-esser pro version, upgrade is 25 bucks.
How do you think it comapres to weiss deesser?

I have the SSL Vocal Strip 2 plugin that has, what I feel, is one of the best de-essers around (for vocals at least). I have most of Techivation's plugins and the price for upgrade is pretty reasonable. Thanks for the great video!
Yeah upgrade price is decent. Could be a bit less, feels more like a sideways upgrade than a huge overhaul.

Of course it'll never compare. 200 PLUS Dollars for a De-Esser is Insane lol. and for a Plugin Mind you. That shit had better come on a Hard drive or a disk...or Both. or if your system crashes, a way to always back it up and re-download it. Like I totally agree with you but that price tag is Mentally R-tard3d !
I don't think it was the best marketing choice to trash on the people who bought their previous plugin as honestly it kind of soured me on purchasing future plugins.
I was confused when I clicked on the video....they should make it a little more obvious that this is a different plugin. 💩💩💩
Let's call it brand recognition and not the same old same old GUI as ever. But maybe i need to make it more cleaer in the title and thumbnail as well ;-)
I Hate this De-esser. (for vocals). I have a very pronounced "SSS" in my S's. I prefer Tone boosters De-esser over this one.
