I wouldn't give a damn about the laws against drones. If there's a real danger to exploring our public lands I'd send up the drone for just long enough to recon the site before putting myself or others in harm's way. It would only take a minute or two and it wouldn't have to fly very high. A fine is preferable to a cartel bullet to the head. They make drones nowadays that fold up and fit in your pocket and FAA rules don't apply if it's under a certain size because they are considered toys when that small.
Since I was little I liked everything related to the old and abandoned, now I'm a little older (26) and I have to say one thing ... I love getting up on Sundays, going to lunch with friends, getting to home, make me a joint and watch a new video of one of the best channels on UA-cam, congratulations and greetings from the beautiful and sunny Spain;)
When I was just a teenager back in the mid - late 70's, I met an elderly man who had moved into one of the two efficiency apartments that were owned by my best friends father, we would sit and talk to this man & run errands to the store and post office for him, he told us stories about his past life working in Las Vegas, some of the stories he told us were about time he had spent in the Desert & traveling back and forth from Los Angeles to Vegas, he was always a little vague about what he actually did for a living, but we didn't think too much about it at the time because we knew he didn't know anyone else in town and he didn't drive or own a car, but he always seemed to have plenty of money, after he passed away in the mid 80's there wasn't a funeral service or burial, all we were told was that his body had been shipped up north where his remaining family lived, it took several years for me to find out his whole story........
Videos like this make me not want to pursue my dream of backpacking through the states >> I'll just stay where i'm at and vacation vicariously through folks like yourself. Thanks!
_kevin pierce_ *It's now 88. What happened, is people got so excited about the new vid and started yelling DIS-I-LIKE DIS-I-LIKE, and smashed the dislike button. They were so excited they were reading like they speak...their excitement overcame them.*
Looks like maybe some came out and was trying to turn the cabins into overnight cabins for nickers and campers. With the brooms and dish soap, water and supplies. Just need a bit of cleaning and.......there you go....shelter from the elements. Might as well use it. Great video as always!
That's exactly what it is. It's common for old cabins out in the desert to be "kinda" taken care of. They are first come first served cabins for hikers, hunters, campers. You can take some food and stuff, leave stuff if you can. Sort of an honor system. If it is actually an old "cook" site the contaminants include various acids and lye. Usually fades away after a while. Just beware of steel tanks that look like old propane tanks. Stay the hell away from that shit !!
It might be left over supplies from the lab. Having said that there are groups out there that will leave small amounts of emergency supplies, food, and water for lost hikers and the like such as a now defunct Las Vegas group called The desert angels who used to leave cashes of water and food for that reason all over the desert.
It's a pretty standard "desert abandoned cabin", really. People exploring out there (off roading, back packing) will often stay the night in them. The etiquette is while you're there you do a little clean-up, maybe some simple repairs, and leave things like canned food, paper towels, and so forth behind for others who may need or use it. The drug dealers are long, long gone.
Hello again from rural New Hampshire. That looks like a volunteer cabin. The BLM and N.Parks allows people to maintain them for people to short term camp. Love following your adventures. Peace and be safe.
Great video & story on it. I tell myself you are all smart and carry when you go to these deserted places, because I worry about your safety. It's Momma Radar I suppose. 😊 Enjoyed as always! Have a great weekend & stay safe!
I'd so love to live where you guys do. Having the freedom to explore vast expansive deserts in gorgeous hot weather. I'm stuck in poxy small Ireland with frig all to see and you're guaranteed to get rained on wherever ye go here :(
Karen Meehan they could help for a variety of reasons. Money for gas for their trips could be a possibility or any extra materials they might need for their trips
I grew up in the 70's with grandparents in Lancaster and the other set in Hesperia California. I've spent many hours of many days exploring the dessert. There were things out there that I didn't even get close to. Some very strange people live out there. That's back when El Mirage dry lake was a cool place to go. As I got older I was told that a lot of criminals from down in the LA area.
Just a tip. Long after methamphetamine production has ceased, the walls of house in which the meth was produced can percolate/emit dangerous fumes. The fumes are not originating from the meth itself, but rather from the dangerous chemicals used to produce methamphetamine. Highly recommend wearing a respirator while inside these homes. Better safe than sorry😊. I love your guys channel btw. Y’all got balls.
As soon as I see Ewu I click so fast . Stopped what I was doing to watch . Love the EWU crew the fearless family should be their name! Thanks for a another cool video. You should start selling EWU shirts I so would buy one !!!!
I just got your channel in my recommendations. Can't believe I have never seen your channel until now! I couldn't hit that subscribe/bell fast enough! What an awesome channel! Cheers from California 🍻
Yeah I'm an explorer from the central valley in ca and I have to be extra cautious because there's so many abandoned house with people cooking crystal in them.
I grew up in the Mojave, so know of a few good spots off brown road, one with a gravesite somebody burried a body for sure. Check out garloc road too about halfway there's a private property with a super creepy guy living there. He was running after me when I stopped once near there to check out an owl I saw and then I heard him bumping insane in the membrane and was running after me with a machete or something it was creepy af! Definetly don't stop too long go too far from your car or get stranded out there.
Omg I'm so surprised you aren't at a million subscribers yet!! You're channel is so interesting and just like a cool TV series! Before you know it you'll have that million subscribers plaque!! You definitely deserve it🙏🏼❤️
Hey There. Love your videos. I really would like to see longer videos though. You're one of my favorite subscriptions alongside the great Moe Sargi and Omar Gosh. I really liked your longer multipart videos but just a longer video like 20-30 min. I would watch every bit of it. Please consider this.
They've done them in the past and they were awesome! I truly wish you guys would do them again, even if two separate explorations in one (I know you need to have enough content to make them longer, *obviously*, lol). I also wish Team EWU would zoom in on the *"old"* antique tools and furniture...their history is cool to look at too, heck even 70 + year old timesheets are cool. Lol! THANKS FOR THE BALLS TO BRING THESE VIDS TO US (YOU TOO EMMA, YOUR BALLS ARE JUST PROVERBIAL! 😎) PS. Once again, behind every great dude...is an even greater dudette! 😉
Those cabins looked really nice, looks like they were part of a mining community a long time ago. I liked all of the little homily touches the original owners had done, like the rocks and stones placed to make pathways between the cabins and the rugs. Shame those drug Cartels took them over, so sad. Such an interesting video.
Pretty cool mate!!!! I subscribe immediately......but...be very careful..... safety first. Thanks for sharing your fantastic experience!!!! From Italy (Venice)
Here let me tell you the story on how I found your Channel: One day I wanted to watch a video and on People exploring abandoned places. Every one else I didn’t like (except Bros Of Decay) but then I found you! I and I was so happy because I thought I loved Your channel when you made videos of exploring but story’s of murders and missing people!! I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!! Let the EWU Live on!

#EWU, Woah. Great vid, unnerving place of late.. Back in the day, We would ride our dirt bikes out in inhabited areas of deserts & all We would run across were, ppl high or stoned. These days it's frigin' dangerous, sometimes. Lotsa' ppl vanish for seeing the wrong thing going on. Scary! • Take Care, You, Guys. Keep On, Keeping On. ; D
That was definitely interesting and again I was waiting to see if anybody was going to pop out at any moment so you guys make it very intriguing watch.💖😄
Have you ever thought of getting a Drone for a quick look before you go in to the site ??? Might be a little bit safer.
Yes, I have a drone, but they are not allowed in the Mojave National Preserve.
Explore With Us thats why i dont get a drone , too many restrictions to even have fun with it.
Ahh ok, I was from Canada so I don't know your rules down there

Wow, nothing screams "Drugs were made here" to me at that place. I would have just assumed it was a mining camp or something of the sort.

Maybe the piece of paper that said "I just smoked meth." Lol most people wouldnt know what they were looking at if there were signs. Lol
