If Apple release an iPad Mini 7, then my local retailer could probably discount the remaining stock of iPad Mini 6 machines, and I'd probably pick up a 6 Mini.
So...yeah...bring on the iPad Mini 7!

The iPad mini 6 is the reason I found your channel and became a fan of yours. When doing research in 2021 about whether I should buy one I came across your first iPad mini review. And have loved your channel ever since. You also beat me to the point I was going to make. The iPhone 13 mini was and always will be my most loved Apple product. I still haven’t quite recovered from the death of it 😂 all I can say is, as my second most loved Apple product, if Tim Cook kills off the iPad mini, that will be the end of my iPad journey. No other iPad fits my needs or my lifestyle. The form factor is the reason I have used my iPad mini every day since 2021. PLEASE Apple, keep the iPad mini alive!! And thank you Mark for all your reviews and love of the iPad mini 😅🩷🍎

I use about 10 different Apple products every day. The iPad Mini 6 is EASILY my favorite one to use. Thankfully, the last redesign was really forward, thinking, so it is not quite outdated yet. But I really hope Apple continues to invest in this product and refreshes it soon!

I own 3 pads, and the mini is by far the one I reach for most. It is also the ideal size for travel - along with a small BT keyboard. Mine is having trouble keeping a charge, but I am babying it along until the end of the year to see if Apple takes (all of our) excellent advice about an update. It doesn't have to be fancy, just bring us up to 2024.

I originally bought the iPad Mini 6 after watching one of your videos Mark back in 2022. It’s what initiated my transition away from Windows to Mac and I use the iPad Mini everyday and since the introduction of Universal Control, it’s been a great “on the go” second monitor.

I have the latest mini and an 11" iPad Pro (2 M chips). The mini is my going-to-bed iPad as well as my first-the-in-the-morning iPad. The mini is also the iPad I put in my knapsack when I'm going out into the world. I'm very happy with it. In terms of possible upgrades, make the display better. The current display is perfectly fine, but the display on my 11" iPad is truly dazzling.

@@CED.Dweller I admit the keys would be tiny and the trackpad even smaller. I had a mid-level Arteck Bluetooth keyboard for my mini 6 and it worked just fine but the physical connection point weakened over time. I could do without the trackpad if it had pencil pro support and just a 3-pin connection like the current MKB.

Perfect iPad mini would be the following:
    - slightly larger 8.9in 90hz single stack OLED with “Liquidmotion” (24-90hz variable)
    - A16 Bionic or newer chipset
    - 8gb RAM (for Apple intelligence)
    - 128gb, 256gb and 512gb storage options
    - 48mp rear camera sensor (same as iphone se4)
    - face id front camera in landscape orientation
    - support for apple pencil pro
    - more vibrant color options
    - ultra thin and light keyboard folio accessory
    - some sort of matte screen option, but not the nano texture… something more like the steam deck oled’s matte surface to keep costs down.

Yes I want a Magic Keyboard for my mini 6, there is just no great keyboard option and I have tried 2-3 different one. Perfect setup… Mini 7 with a M1 chip. Magic Keyboard… it could even be without a trackpad. I find that with the small size of the mini when I do use a keyboard it is convenient to just use the touch screen. On my IPad Pro m4 the trackpad is a must. My iPad Pro and mini are the ONLY devices I use. I fully replaced my MacBook Air a couple years ago. No need for a laptop.

I love the portability of my mini 6. My main is an M4 11 inch pro, but the mini holds its own for my needs.
    My wishlist
    - 90 hz refresh rate
    - continued Apple Pencil 2 support
    - longer battery life
    - A18 chip
    - Slightly slimmer bezels
    - OLED or mini LED
    - 512GB option
I’d totally pay the difference to have those in a smaller form factor.

I have the iPad mini 5 and feel it is the perfect travel companion. It doesn't need a keyboard because you can type on it like the phone. I tried a keyboard case and it made it more uncomfortable to carry and the typing experience wasn't that great. I bought an Apple Pencil with it but now it is dead. I originally got the pencil to draw but the mini is a little small for this purpose. I would just get a generic pencil for taking notes. When I bought the mini it cost more than the base model iPad even though they were pretty much the same. I like the mini's size it is easy to carry and hold like a book. It is great for editing video and pictures. Unless you like to draw I don't think you need a bigger iPad. I don't feel I need anything else. I wish it had more memory, better battery life, and was more affordable.

About a year ago I made the jump from the large ipad Pro to an ipad mini 6, and I have actually carried the iPad mini with me the way I thought I would originally carry the iPad Pro. It was great around the house but taking it anywhere felt like carrying a laptop and really had to plan to travel with it. I do miss some of the pro features but the iPad mini is the true iPad experience that Steve had in mind when first launched. I know they won’t give us what we want but pro chip, access to pro apps, brighter and better screen, and maybe a bit smaller bezels would make this the absolute perfect device.

I like this video your views are straightforward and direct without all the gimmicks and theatrical nonsense. I started out with the iPad mini four and I went to the mini five I'm currently with the mini six and hoping for the mini seven. I'm sure they won't turn it into a pro product, there's enough of that out there already. I'd like you said for its size convenience and flexibility. It doesn't need much more than an upgraded processor larger memory so that can handle AI and other updated services as far as a folding product goes until you can figure out how to fold a glass screen without leaving a crease and give it to durability of glass so you don't damage it with a fingernail until then I don't think Apple will bother with it. Which is fine with me. Foldable fits a bragging rights niche not much else than that. Thank you
    for doing the video.

I love my iPad Mini 6 and update to the next one immediately. I had not even considered that they will get rid of it. The refresh cycle is longer than the rest, I believe, is because Apple knows it is mainly for people who just want a portable device to get things done. It is not one for many who wants the very latest, although it is a very capable table. When I want the very minimalist setup for mine but want a keyboard and pointing device I use the Logi(tech) Keys To Go 2 and MX Anywhere mouse for Mac.

I'd be happy to see a magic keyboard for the iPad mini. I really love the iPad mini for a lot of reasons, but travel is definitely one of them. I don't need a perfect typing experience, just something better than the onscreen keyboard and something that attaches nicely for moderate typing needs. Right now I use the Logitech keys-go 2, which is actually pretty great and works well for use on lap or when laying in bed as you can prop the iPad up using it's folio onto the the folded out lid of the keyboard, but it's still a separate, disconnected item. It's not a bad solution and I can certainly live with it, but a magic keyboard would be great.

Thanks for the video. I agree with your comments, and wishes for an iPad Mini update, but not for all the same reasons.
My partner is still using iPad Minis from several years ago. They are a good size for travel and reading books. No need for more speed, pencil etc.
I am now using an e-ink tablet for reading [inside and outside in the sun] and for note-taking. iPad Mini will not replace this. For watching content when traveling though,
Foldable phones are a fairly new market segment. Prices are increasing each year but actual sales are not huge. Hardware is still unreliable. Do we really need to stuff them into our pants? For this reason, I don't see Apple making a folding phone any time soon. Screens are not reliable enough and prices are too high for many people. You can buy 3 iPad Minis for the price of one foldable phone, right now!

I'm a teacher and the iPad mini has taken the place of my paper planner/diary. It's fantastic for classroom use and perfect for note taking in meetings. I'm also learning to sketchnote on it... If Apple produced a new 120hz iPad mini with Face ID and upped the base storage to 128gb I am not sure that I could resist.....

Love if the next mini had a M4 with 8 GB RAM and OLED. NON-FOLDABLE!!!

I've been waiting for about a year for the iPad Mini 7. I want it as an e-reader. My iPad Pro is too big for that and my iPhone is too small. I haven't bought the iPad Mini 6, because I hear it has the problem of 'jelly scrolling', which is not good if you want to read books on it. I understand that it has four grills, and only two have speakers behind them, so what are the other two for? Well, I don't need speakers when reading books, I suppose. Although my intended use is specifically for reading e-books, I shouldn't be surprised if the iPad Mini 7 would become more used than my iPad Pro, so it would probably become my main iPad. I wonder if, instead of an iPad Mini 7, what Apple might release is an iPad Mini Air.

I agree! I love my mini 6! I bring it everywhere with me and it has a mobile data connection. I prefer android for my phone but I have a ton of family and friends with iPhones so my mini is my “iPhone” so I can still iMessage and FaceTime and for normal calls I even use my google voice number. It’s great.

I love what you do so I'm not a hater, so no worries from my side, back to the iPad Mini 6, I got the mine at launch date back in time, it's a brilliant travel companion, still use it on a more or less daily basis, not really sure it's really need an update unless you are a heavy gamer or something else, who knows?
No keyboard needed, if you get used with the pen there's no need for any clumsy keyboard, that's my view.

I’ve had a Mini 6th gen since launch and it’s SO perfect for my use case. But I’ve recently given up hope on a decent upgrade (an iPad Mini Pro with a decent screen and faster processor) and jumped to the iPad Pro 11”. Which is probably exactly what hat Apple wanted me to do 🤦🏻‍♂️

I love the iPad Mini. It has proven to be the perfect iPad for me. Size, utility and pure convenience. When the 7 comes out I’ll watch all of the reviews and wait until decent cases and screen protectors are available and then trade in my 6 and upgrade
*Plus the iPad Mini has to be updated to become compatible with Apple Intelligence

Moved to iPad mini on the 6th gen and really like the size.
I feel, however, that it's compromised a lot on screen (jelly school issues) etc and right now its fair to call it the 'iPad Air mini'.
Id really like the 7th gen to be more 'iPad Pro mini' and adopt faceid (much better than Touch ID in the button), promotion display, and most importantly the M series chip allowing stage manager to be used and therefore an external display.

Yes, my mini 6 is my primary device for browsing the internet, media consumption, and checking e-mails and messages. It's a big enough screen that I can read it well, and still very portable. I completely want a keyboard for it so that it can be my main travel device too. I take my laptop when traveling but it's bigger than I want most of the time, but I want the keyboard is necessary for longer responses. And for me there's not enough size difference with the 11" form factor and a MacBook Air to put up with the lesser capability.

My prefect setup would be a mini with 1 or 2tb of storage and a keyboard of some kind. Not necessarily the Magic’s keyboard but some kind. Also a 12hz display. That would cause me to upgrade very quickly.

Got the iPad mini 4 many moons ago. It is really sluggish now and in need of a replacement. I am just waiting for September to see whether to go for the 6 or the 7. I still persist with my iPhone 12 mini because I hate anything bigger. It is still impeccable in terms of speed and I think I'll keep it for another one or two years. It just needs a battery replacement.

The original iPad mini felt like a toy and was missing features so I ended up never using it. But this most recent iPad mini is fantastic and I use it all the time! It’s the perfect size to toss in a bag or lounge about on the couch or hammock and it has the perfect form factor for so many productivity tasks. I just want it to be more “pro” so that it can do more! Smaller bezels, thunderbolt 4 capabilities, higher refresh rate, faster performance M1 or better!

the iPad mini is what an iPad should be. only reason why i have the M4 iPad Pro 11 inch is because of OLED. i have my iPad mini to my daughter and whenever i go and grab it….i fall in love with love with it again. it’s genuinely the best iPad. i would seriously consider going back to it if it gained OLED and had a magic keyboard. i don’t do much on my iPad Pro but the OLED is key along with the magic keyboard. i use this as my main computer, i don’t have a need for an actual computer since i don’t do anything other than check for emails, youtube, tv and etc.

I would right now have an iPad mini, if Apple would offer a Smart Folio Keyboard. I have a MacBook Pro 14 and also an iPad Pro 13“. Carrying both with me is a hustle.
I like the iPad for mail, content planning, bullet points, content consumption, foto editing and also journaling.
Of course the 11“ would do the job but still I would prefer the size factor of the mini. But I need a small and easy keyboard. No problem if it’s smaller, I’ll get used to it. But that would be a game changer

I used to have a iPad mini, but the on screen keyboard blocked like 60% of the screen and I found it very annoying when typing a long message. I loved its small size and hope it will get an update. I am sure the new version would have a chip good enough to feature Apple intelligence, and probably supports Apple Pencil pro.

my future wants are an iPad mini and AirPods Max .. but until they're both upgraded so i can get them at the start of their regeneration cycle, i'll be waiting
    my wants:
    - an iPad mini with an M-chip - even if it's just the last stock of the M1, it would just strengthen and prolong the longevity of the mini's lifespan
    - i'd also love it to have a headphone jack but i guess i can live without; it's just this is where i'd be more likely to use it - how much space can they really be saving without it
    - AirPods Max with USB C, an on/off button, and a better - or no case

Great video - and oh yes please bring it this year... My wish list: I would actually like it to become an 'Air Mini' - it does not need the absolute latest anf fastest, but an M series to get the full functionality, a promotion display, a smart connector and a Magic Keyboard (preferably one that keeps the footprint small (so no kickstand) although I could live with it), a charging port in the keyboard and lastly - I has to be compatible with the Apple pencil pro... the mini needs the squeeze.. big hopes - but it would be the ultimate portable powerhouse...

We SURE need a new iPad mini. It’s the best iPad I’ve ever had (and I had a few 😅). It’s really convenient and it has the best size for a smaller tablet.
We just need a better display (OLED, pretty please) and some fancier internals. Call it iPad mini 7, iPad mini Play (because, let’s face it… it’s media consumption device) but give it to us!!

I have a IPM6. Had a 5, and briefly a 4. Always with me. Car mounted on the A pillar working as a GPS, on the desk as a 'lookup device', in the bathroom as, well, if you have a IPM, you prolly know. Etc.
There are however, IMHO, many reasons to adapt the IPM to horizontal mode. (position of buttons, taking full advantage of speakers, etc.) The A15 chip is sufficient, but more is better (on the inside...) Ideally, it would also come with a MagSafe charger, thus freeing up the 'C' port (ports ?) for peripherals, and a highly upgraded camera.
All that said, I'd buy a new one. And I'd be willing to pay a little more, too. Bob

I’ve used the mini 6 for almost a year now. The mini is like a big comfortable iPhone to use to type with, to use multitasking, it sits nicely below the monitor on my desk and now with my 15inch MacBook Air I can use it with my mouse and keyboard. The only time the mini is a hindrance in lying in bed to read articles or watch videos. It’s too short to stand it on my chest and watch UA-cam. I recently had the 13 in Pro M4. Amazing hardware but it was just way too big for a tablet, I never wanted to hold it. It was so big it felt like I could do graphic design on it, nope. I bought the affinity design bundle at discount yet they sucked harder than an old lady sucking on her dentures. I needed up returning the thing and ordering the 15in MacBook Air. That thing is what I wanted from a Mac my entire life, minus being in a tablet form which wouldn’t work anyway. I’m going to get the 11in Pro M4. I use a backpack sling to carry my iPad mini anyway so I might as well get the 11in Pro.

I've wanted one for about 2 years ago, I keep on putting it off thinking the Mini7 is just around the corner. I think the stand-out feature will be AI [ovbiously], but also Hover like the latest Pros. Remember that weird Pencil last year? There must be a reason why that has hover, instead of pressure sensitivity. Nothing on low-end can use hover at the moment, and the Mini will be perfect for it.. ie, if someone who isn't up to date on tech, but is borrowing one from a front-desk. Or for those using new apps/tools and needs tooltips.

Love the iPad mini, for me it is the perfect tablet; but like the iPhone mini it just seems to have a big fan base, but that doesn’t reflect in the selling numbers… apparently it’s only like 12% of all selling iPads (the pro sells even more than the 10th gen). I really hope I’m wrong but there probably won’t be many more iterations of the mini. Saw these numbers in Tailosive’s Tech latest iPad video.
