It was still disabled in the end, so I had to input this command before it worked: reagentc /setreimage /path C:\\Windows\\System32\\Recovery hope it helps
Thanks my man :) I got Windows Update error 0x80070643 and followed Microsofts official instructions on how to manually resize WinRE partition but when I was done the WinRE was deleted so I had to recover following your video and it works.
This worked for me: run this command in the command prompt - 'dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\mount /discard'. After you run the command, it allows you to delete 'install.wim' and the mount folder
This video is so underrated. The steps are precise and i dont know much about computer or fixing issues so it helped me a lot as a beginner. Thank you.
You really helped me! I was wondering for a long time why I don't have advanced options menu, I watched your video and I managed to fix this problem, thank you a lot!
This was a great tutorial video! Even though I was mildly frustrated and pretty nervous throughout because I really didn't wanna shut off the PC without a Recovery Partition, you were really calm, clear and comforting :) I now have a recovery partition and a smile on my face, I wish you all the best!! ♥️♥️
@TrisonP thank you, i was finally able to delete it. the owner of the "C:\mount" folder was "Trusted Installer". I changed the owner to me (through a series of convoluted steps in the 'security tab' when you right-click properties on the folder) 😅. gonna try restarting my computer now just to be sure it wasn't dependent on that folder 🤞
Absolutely brilliant, you are a star, took my time not sure where it was going, followed your instructions and it all worked. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU💜💜💜💜
Thanks for the guide. I had a problem that after migrating from Win 7 to Win 10, I replaced the disk with an SSD. And the recovery function did not work. I managed with your guide. Although not without problems - install.wim did not copy. I had to move it: window-window. Now I can install Win 11. I saw descriptions that referred to what needs to be done. However, you showed it better in the video.
Hi, this doesn't seem to work for us despite everything appearing correct and we cannot seem to find the answer it either gives us error 87 or error 11. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
Fantastic video! So helpful! Incredible how much trouble Microsoft makes it to recreate a recovery parition. I would say that it would be great if you would add the unmount command to the text to get rid of the C:\mount directory afterwards.
Went through the entire video and still cannt enable. I will say that there is a difference when I execute the reagentc /info command. My recovery image index equals 1, not 0.
Thank you so much Sal Tech, and @BjornNijhof-dw3qn for your extra command, for assisting with the fix which Microsoft (bloody) should have got right in the first place!! Well done, you two!!
Did it all, did not work. Found the comment about this command before the last one to get the enable to work. Try this first! BUT GREAT VIDEO! reagentc /setreimage /path C:\\Windows\\System32\\Recovery
A whole week trying to fix this problem. I watched many videos and this one really worked. Thank you very much.
Same!!!
It was still disabled in the end, so I had to input this command before it worked:
reagentc /setreimage /path C:\\Windows\\System32\\Recovery

@@ryn1986 thanx bro
@@ryn1986 I was thinking the same to change "mount" to UNMOUNT and run the command again but I couldn't figure it out tbh.
I can't understand where you got the Windows 10 folder from, and for some reason I don't have the install.esd file, I can't figure out how to fix it
create windows 10 installation media, you need a usb flash drive with 8gb+. that's where he got that folder and you can find install.esd file there
or just download a windows 10 folder

Can I unmount the folder "mount" to save space after finishing enable Win RE?

@@matari_ganan I deleted that folder and no error happened
