They messed up big time. I had a fav list where I had movies I'd keep track prices of. That's gone 🙏
It pisses me off that they have removed the numbers of movies you have in your collection with this update. I used to know how many movies I had in total, I used to know how many movies I had in each genre, and even how many I had bought recently. This is moving away from good user interface to something that isn't made for people who purchase (bulk) of movies on their system. I have almost 2200 movies and I really don't like that I can't tell how many movies I have in my collection anymore. I also will miss the option to read info about the movie before I start it. I have for their first time disabled update on Apple TV. (I have several).
It's a mess. Apart from losing the wishlist, I am not interested in MLS season pass (in UK) but cannot delete it! 😖 New Home screen is a complex mess... Store now mixes up movies and TV shows...I am not interested in buying TV shows! They would do better to spend their time allowing passthrough of audio to an AV receiver!
This was the worst upgrade Apple has ever made period. I have all Apple TV l’s throughout my home at 6 of them and wish they never made this upgrade it’s absolute junk… period
Another thought, I like the interface to where you click on a show or a movie in the store; it gives you the related movies/TV, cast and crew and the ratings but the only thing that I hope that would change would be the fact that they need to allow you to categorize the movies and TV shows in your library, yourself. You know you don’t know what a genre is when you are splitting a series of movies into two or three different genres (not a sub-genre mind you, but three distinct genres)
They need a emergency fix.
The new tvOS 17.2 Really bad they remove all my list movies
After watching one of your previous videos about this new update, I deliberately made sure my automatic updates were disabled. A couple of nights ago I reached for the remote within my dark room and lo and behold.. bloody thing started updating. I'm so pissed off! Especially not being able to see the audio rendering of a movie.
I absolutely HATE this update I had a Wishlist of films I was gonna buy in the future and now I lost them and I like how I had a list of how many films and tv shows I had and I can't see the number anymore and I have over 1300 movies and 125 tv shows and Apple shouldn't have changed the whole thing it was better the old way and I hope a number of you who loved the old version better write bad reviews about the new update cuz I'm not gonna stand for this.
i don't like that with the TV app it does not give you the option to start from the beginning. Instead it resumes and once it resumes you can start from beginning. i like to be asked before the movie starts. this is how itunes used to work.
I don't like it!, can't check on the length or other details of a item before viewing, how do I now find my "Wish List" and "Favourites" where I used to keep track of films / TV programs I was monitoring the price for. I also had some purchases that only showed up in Movies iTunes and not the Apple TV so it wants me to buy again. I for "If it's not broken don't fix it" They can't even get the correct icon for the real version of True Grit showing the stars of the remake. I have over 1600 films in this (another item no longer displayed) and doubt I will make another purchase. Back to physical media :)
I despise Apple for this change. I have left using Apple TV and am using the built in Google TV included with the TV software.
I hope they come up with a better solution for organising libraries etc. in the Apple TV app.
Lost my wishlist after this update and also no way of telling if it’s a 4k Dolby vision purchase if it says play with Amazon Prime.. Disney+ etc
The UX is pretty clunky. Plus why in the world did they get rid of the wish list. I’m not happy at all with the new update.

Anyone know if Apple TV has yet added back the ability to play a trailer for purchased movies in your library; or if there is any other way to view trailers for purchased movies?
I can’t figure out how to buy something from the TV part of apple tv
I've found a great way to find all the movie information and see the trailer running from your Purchased Library in the TV App. Just tell Siri there film and suddenly there is all of the information - it looks so much more modern that the older iTunes Films app! Doesn't show the info if you click on the film in your library BUT does if you ask Siri!
Is there way to find my wishlist that I had saved on itunes on the apple tv app for windows? I know i can still use the original itunes but im just curious if the wishlist is still available on apple tv windows app or not. Thanks!
