Wild how you can see and feel port dimensions probably down to the tenths of thousandths literally in real time by hand. I bet you wake up sometimes visualizing the atoms flowing through port shapes in your head. Always enjoy your videos.
It's me Mel Once my head comes in I have another one that I want to send your away And depending on what you say hopefully we can do the combustion chambers the works on this one this will be my all out monster love it Dave Keep this content flowing.... enjoy your day
We switched exclusively to GSC on our S58/B58 builds a while back. Greg was great to work with, and this has solved many issues we were having with the valve train with the other brands. Great video
Very nice. I'm surprised that BMW is leaving anything on the table with a modern head like the S58. Easier flowing allows for more same cfm with less boost pressure (less detonation) or more cfm at the same pressure (understood). If you don't change anything on the BMW with the S58 does the porting reduce area under the curve or low end torque, fuel efficiency etc? i.e. Is the head most efficient for the system it is in as opposed to the most free flowing or best power making with a bigger turbo kind of thing?
@@robertfontaine3650 porting done right should make more area under the curve and at a lower boost level. I think a good example would be a 1500whp GTR head with our cnc port. The car made same peak power with less boost and +170whp in the mid range.

haha can't do a tenth but can feel a few thousandths

@@vargasturbochargertechnolo6371 yes! It’s the only one that will work for big power and not hurt parts.
Great video. Learned a lot.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Dave, have you heard any feedback about the new exhaust springs causing increased vanos deviation on the exhaust cam?
@@all4bspinnin311 what new exhaust spring?
@@headgames sorry, exhaust valve springs.
@@all4bspinnin311 yeah I understand, what new spring?
@headgames where you only replacing intake valve springs? I'm confused now 😄
@@all4bspinnin311 I’m confused too lol you asked about exhaust springs. We replaced all of the valve springs with GSC.
