I thought it was funny watching Tuke's interview with Greg from GSC Power. Greg started to get into all the installation complexities that come in when moving into more extreme cam set ups in the RB. Tukes says "Dave's bulding it" and Greg is like 'Oh, you're set then, he's great!" and here we are. Was cool seeing an expert go from "Now we have a LOT to talk about first" to "No worries you're golden" with a first name drop
and here we see the shop that is claiming that head we saw that clearly had bend valves and more stem play than stock with bronze bushings would, that is good and no modifications needs to be done 🙃😂 than later tuner or other components would get blame for engine misfiring... Same thing with sand blasting - it would run great and live at limiter until it didn't (after few hours of abuse), and then would come finger pointing on whose fault it is (engine builder, tuner or driver)
With in the first 3 minutes of your video. That is the reason it is so hard to trust anyone in this industry. Over the year's. Since I got into car's and hot rod and drag racing. I can't tell you the thousand upon thousand of dollars I lost and got screwed for half ass work . Then going from one shop to another with different opinions and views of a set up spending more money . One of the reason I gave up on the sport and my passion. The countless sad stories of negativity proves my feels. Sadly I didn't get the type of service you offer . Good job on the explanation. I learn so much from you videos.
yes this is wild. I'm a machinist myself, not to your level but I definitely agree that for an MLS gasket that roughness is not accepable. Whilst the head may need some level of texture to grip the gasket nicely, that's insane. good for older style paper gaskets but not mls.
Dave and the guys at HeadGames did my RB26 head with this setup. Top notch work, no BS and it’s been running like a top since I started it a few months ago! Cool to see the process! Best in the business!
I been there before too, I had another shop do a 2jz head before knowing of the great experienced work Head Games and sure enough I had same outcome. The reality is that a regular machine shop doing your everyday factory refresh work will not do as good work as Head Games does.
Strictly a content decision lacking any common sense. That is the definition of social media/entertainment platforms today. "That's cool but what an idiot" is a statement Tukes should get used to lol.
At this point there's enough support for anybody to make a thousand on any of these engines and the RB sounds way better so pick the best sounding engine if you are full building. Are they going to use a transmission adapter and keep the stock transmission? Rbs are about to be through the roof soon cuz they literally are the best sounding engine. Prp makes head and blocks now
I hate when people hate on the B58 or the A90... He should had bought a S14 or a R33 GTR... I own a A90 and a GR Corolla which Ill be selling for to get an R32GTR so in the shop I work my cars we are very familiar with the RB and is such a downgrade on a A90 compared to the B58... To each each own I guess Maybe he gave up to the hate and pressure against the B58/A90 supra
I highly doubt things are that deep. This sounds like a passion project to me. He probably loves the supra styling and that delicious RB sound. No B58 in the world sounds as good as an RB. A project like this is purely for fun and to flex some extra money. Of course he could build a S14 2JZ1000hp build for half cost. But thats not the point. This is a SEMA style flex build.

Great video. That belt sander head surface is a dick move especially as fresh castings get harder to come by.
@@admintuning I think the belt sander would actually come out better than what was on it

@@BrianCrofoot thanks for choosing headgames and sharing your experience Brian!
Gotta be Petrolwerks

So Nobody gonna bash petrolwerks for this? A.K.A MOE?! 🐍
What do the chatter marks on the valve indicate?
Tukes is wild getting rid of the b58 for a rb26. With that said. It’ll be a very different sounding mk5. Makes for good content

@nickwells20 his car, his choice does not nor should not matter what you, me, or anyone else thinks.
Does your shop do work on Mazdaspeed3 for the 2.3 DISI head? I'm curious to hear if you have and what your findings are.
Nice video Dave- I just sent a request form over to get some work done. Hope to hear from you soon.
Head games did my head also top notch work I still haven’t used it but I’ll see in a week or so
I can't wait to see the sequel!
😅 In the sequel.... they swap in a 2jz... and live happily ever after. Jk😂
what witchcraft is this? I'm HERE FOR IT!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
