    💛About us:
Hi! We are Trey and Rosa, we have 5 kiddos and we moved from the big city of Las Vegas to the outskirts of Pahrump to homestead and grow our own food with the goal of self-sufficiency. We have a small homestead with Nigerian Dwarf goats, ducks, chickens, and also have cats and dogs running around everywhere and recently converted to eating a full plant based diet due to health reasons.
We are passionate about growing our own food, eating clean & healthy, cooking food from scratch, desert gardening and making simple skincare products for our family and for you.
We specialize in making 100% goat's milk soap using fresh goat milk from our own Nigerian Dwarf goats that provide the most moisturizing bar of goat milk soap you'll try. We love all the benefits of our goat milk soaps and find that it's great for skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin.

Would love to see how you make the brownies, especially without the egg! On the Chard, we love buying 2-4 bunches a week that we make with garlic for lunches to add more fiber and nutrients. Love all your meal and snack ideas, and look forward to your next video!

Sounds like a dessert video needs to be made soon! We are LOVERS of brownies, I’ll have to make an almond flour one per the recipe and a spelt brownie per our own recipe as a comparison 😋 looking forward to sharing another with you thank you so much for joining us James!

Great finds! The BOGO on the dates is wonderful! Dates last forever and even if they do get hard, re-hydrate in warm water. Cascadian Farms is our ok food to buy as well. Sweetened with fruit and organic is nice to have as a treat. We keep in the car/food bag for those emergency days when you're out longer than expected or emergency. It happens! Also seaweed snacks work well for emergency snacks when you're plant based. Yes I would love to know how to start a WFPB sourdough starter! and how you make your bread:)

Those BOGO dates were a GREAT find. I should’ve bought them all just to stock up but I figured I’d leave some for anyone behind me haha
How many kiddos do you have Amber?

Price varies widely depending on the season here! In the spring and summer we can get all types of greens 3 bunches for $1 at the Farmer's Market! In the winter months it is closer to a dollar per bunch - but still the best deal. We love the Farmer's Market, they have such wonderful deals. All winter you can get "Hobo Dinner" which is 10 pounds of potatoes, 1 large head of cabbage, 3 pounds of carrots, and 3 pounds of onions for FIVE DOLLARS!! Now if I went to our local Kroger to buy greens, they would be $1.19.

Where are you located Sherry? Wow those are AMAZING deals! You could never get those prices in our area, no no! And farmer’s markets? It’s probably just as expensive or more since they upcharge 🫣

Would love to see the brownies! It is also good to know I'm not the only one needing replacement spoons and bowls. My daughter has somehow misplaced a lot of coffee cups over the years!

Cal-organic Collards cost 2.49 a bunch. You can often you can get conventionally grown bunches that are about twice as large for about the same amount.

Very interesting yours is even more expensive! Where are you located? Do you get better deals at your local farmer’s market?

Organic greens at our larger local store are $1.99, but like you said they're small. Other local stores produce is very sad and honestly I'd rather buy frozen when that's my only option. Wholefoods has bigger bunches for $2.49 and more varieties, but is further away. The cost of organic greens have gone up fifty cents per bunch in the last year and the bunches are smaller.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  4 місяці тому +1

$1.99 is what we paid, it sounds like it’s around there mostly everywhere but yes I agree organic produce prices are hiking up and it’s been a challenge affording it! What store do you normally shop at?

The green bells will turn red if left on the plant.

Yes absolutely! I’ve heard if you kept it for a while it can also turn red but haven’t had a bell pepper long enough to test 😆

Collard greens is something I have never found here in Sweden. Maybe in larger citys.

@@thehaipath Hi, my favorite greens are kale and black cabbage. These are easy to find in my store. Me and my husband live in a small fishingvillage with only one store. In bigger citys there are better stores. Have a beautiful day, you and your big lovely family.
