    1. This series is not only the best poker podcast by far, but it’s also one of the best podcasts on any subject. You guys are very good interviewers and clearly put a lot of work into it before, during, and after.
    2. How is it that Uri Peleg is mentioned by nearly every single nosebleed crusher as a key inspiration for them? One day you’re going to get Linus on and we’re gonna find out Uri coached him up from midstakes

Excellent interview and podcast. Everything is neatly timestamped, the questions are natural and not forced, they let the interviewee speak without jumping and cutting in. No bullshitting around and gossiping or trash talking. This is quality✅

I think my biggest takeaways are
Poker is like life, u want to grow in both aspects. His definition of success ( which i totally agree) is doing what u like n enjoy.
Taking shots - being aggressive ( if it works for u ). Also having a BR management plan that works for u- not what others say or u learn from a course.
Try different things, see what works for you. And what makes u feel right / good.
Being able to communicate with others about all this.
Very important and informative i thoght was.. being able to embrace and allowing yourself to experience pain.
Communicate with your self and your emotions
Dont be in a rush to get rid of the pain
... pain + reflection = growth as Adam says. Very intriguing IMO
Be grateful for your accomplishments & milestones, building a tolerant mindset for being risk adverse
    Self awareness very important
    Being able to adapt
Also most importantly being aware of your mistakes & being accountable
And with that being able to forgive yourself- you are going make mistakes in life & poker... i also can relate sometimes myself it takes two/ three times to learn from mistake but the most important thing is correct dont repeat.. . This was a very interesting & informative episode i will have to watch it back a 2nd time
    Thanks alot guys

For me the biggest thing was how barak learned to be fine with making mistakes. This has been big problem for me aswell critizing my mistakes and feeling really angry at myself. Nice to hear others struggle with it and its part of the game

Nice another podcast :) these are my main takeaways:
    - Try to be a better friend with yourself than you used to be
    - Figure out what mental problem you have that's preventing you from executing the knowledge you possess at the table
    - When moving to live pay attention to obvious timing tells like when someone snap checks they're telling you they don't have the nuts

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟
    Live Play:
    Softer and different.
Pay attention to all hands; watch showdowns.
Easier to put certain players on exact hands.
Who is on tilt, tightening up, hard exploiting others?
Game plan the table and adjust.

Another poker interview with one of the best players in the world, an audience which is interested in the question of how to improve in poker, and no direct questions asked, how would you improve, your advice, What are some wrong or right ways etc etc. This makes me sad :(

@@MechanicsOfPoker I had the same question but equally, what stakes of player do you take on ? Be interesting to know stakes, expected time commitments etc for a lot of people I'd imagine. As I'm guessing with a full time job this is probably a no go straight away

    • @MechanicsOfPoker
      @MechanicsOfPoker  Рік тому

@@martincoughlan478 For the mechanics of poker program we consider accepting players who are already pro and play fulltime at 50NL+ or 2/5 live, and semi pros who play 100NL+, are putting in significant effort, and are looking to go pro soon
