It's wild how little people know about Blanton's Editions...they hear "Blanton's" and can only think of Original Single Barrel. SFTB is the king of the Blanton's lineup IMO, gods is it excellent! Gold is solid, love the extra 10 proof points. Then there are quite a few more editions (black, takara, red, silver etc.) but for me OSB (just because), Gold, and SFTB have to be on the shelf at all times! Cheers!

Just got back from Paris with a bottle of Blanton's Gold. I saw it at 2 shops, just sitting on the shelf. 128 euros for the 700 ml bottle. Excited to crack it open.

When they dropped in my state I was turned off by the price ($130 at the good stores and up).
Kinda shrugged it off and a week later I saw a Bookers and a Blantons behind the register. $99 for the Bookers and $75 for the Blantons. Both were skips for me. Then as i stood in line to buy my beer I notced the Blantons box looked a little off. Holy Crap it was a Gold at $74.99.
I certainly got a deal that day. Oh, and its damn tasty to boot!

How is that even possible? Blanton's Gold MSRP just went up from 120 to 150
@@user-hb9qv The store had it priced in the system as a regular Blanton's not realizing the difference. When she tried to scan it, it wouldn't come up properly as there was no "Gold" in the computer. So she searched the system manually and selected the $74.99 price.

Gold Finger was the Bond movie. Missed out on a Blanton’s Gold 2 weeks ago at my local liquor store by 5 minutes.

If you’re trying to figure out where that audio interference is coming from… likely your watch. I get the same effect when I have my phone near my guitar amplifier. Same exact sound.
this is the first time i've noticed it, not sure where its coming from. Phone and watch are away from the camera and mic...
@@ScotchTestDummies I had to take my phone out of the room or put it in airplane mode to get it to stop. I'd bet a Blanton's Gold that's the culprit.
Blanton’s is a very nice bourbon but prices went crazy. Still have my $60 bottle, with 1/2 left.

You don't buy. Send in the toppers when you collect a set and they will mount on a stave and send back to you. Super cool way to build a brand even more.

Gold Member, you crazy Dutch bastard! Love that movie. Great review fellas! 🥃Never had a Blantons Gold, currently have a standard Blantons and Rock Hill Farms open. Honestly both are over rated IMO. The hype is insane, Blantons is a $40 bottle to me and Rock Hill farms would be a $50 bottle. I know they are both single barrel products so that always has to be taken into consideration. I just find so many cask strength shelf bottles and store picks in the $50 to $80 range that are so much better. 👍🏻

Are you saying Blantons and Rock Hill Farms is barely better than Buffalo Trace and Weller Special Reserve etc? Within the BT line, they are definitely better than most others.
Walk in store and sitting on shelf at msrp 119 plus tax. People cleared out Weller Reserve but left the Gold sitting for 2 days

I was able to get Blanton's Gold at retail price at the BC Liquor Premuim.Spirit Release... The Whiskey was so good that the bottle didn't last a long time.
