Them still refusing to change Vile Taint CD to match Agony, or make Agony longer.... Something to make that better in M+ is infuriating. So many other classes can mass apply dots so easily. Meanwhile ours is target capped, requires a soul shard, and doesnt match the time of the dot.
To sum up PTR: 11.1 seems to be more of the same for warlock. It’s foremost minor adjustments and qol changes. If you enjoy current state of lock you should be fine playing it season 2 as well. If you hoped for some more substantial changes and are unhappy with its current state, you probably better play something else.
Yeah, I was hoping for more. Guess demonology and Destr continues to be the build to use. Was hoping to see more for affliction, but my damage just sucked compared to demonology. I guess more demon cores will make demon even more mobile, but I really wanted to go back to affl. :/
Something I don't think was asked about in the video when going over the affliction tier set, is if we would benefit from the extra unstable afflictions when specced into Focused Malignancy. Maleific Rapture should in theory be dealing 25% more damage to those targets with the extra UA's. Hopefully this is the case :P Just means aff will be better at what it's already good at (on spread cleave) and council type fights.
I'm super cool with the RoF change. I just wish they would fix the diabolist Ruination spell so that it does "meteor" damage even if the current target dies after it is casted. I wouldn't have to search around for the highest health target in a pack before casting each time. The key change is "anything not timed below a 12 won't be depleted" is what I'm reading. So if it's not timed 13+ then it will deplete.
Demo getting more and more cores back over the patches is really appreciated. But man please someone throw Affliction a bone that spec is a god damn mess.
Would be interesting if Soul Rot gave you the 40 stacks of ID, for a single Drain Life that does dmg per Soul Rot window. Dunno, haven’t used Drain Life since it had that AOE effect way back.
as a legally blidn player the rain of fire change is amazing, i hate having to place the rain of fires it always feels harder than it has to be. this actually makes me excited to play destruction for the first time in a looong time. i hate rain of fire it's really boring and basic so this atleast makes it accessible. bring back aoe havoc or fire and brimstone as our core AOE pls!
in regard to the vile taint problem what if they get rid of vile taint and make a choice node with PS that changes seed of corruption to seed of decimation and it applies both agony and corruption to targets hit even if they make it an 8 target cap that would still be so much better than what we are dealing with now

Aff gets minimal love again...Sadge. Ive said it time and time again. VT cd needs to be atleast 3 seconds less than Agony Aura duration. Remove the reticle and let us cast it to the target...just like they did with Destro ROF. Make Malefic rapture baseline Instant cast to give us more mobility in M+ and while they are at it remove the target cap from the set bonus UA spread.
Demo Changes and Tier bonus sounds so good I love Demo getting its Demonic Core Economy back built back up and I do like how it is being built into Doom. One thing I would like to see is a new Talent for Doom that gives Doom guards Shadow volley for AOE but over all I'm loving the Warlock changes so far. The Tier set looks so Sick to. Hopefully these changes allows this tier to be more of a Warlock tier at the start. Demo Tier set is cool and sounds strong. Can't wait.
I hate that Blizz is so slow on this crap. The top players including Kala has been hounding them about these changes since beta. They deciding to do it now, but then again better now than in the last season. Thats if anyway they don't revert these changes lol.

I would rather they massively buff the healing from drain life rather than buff the damage. Even doubled the damage is still negligible.

It is what it is. They aren’t going to fix it. Affliction is still more than good enough for high keys.

how can people not understand. it means if you have a 12, it cant deplete to lower than a 12. it doesn't affect anything but a 12 key.

Thats is also how it read it, its a nice set bonus but the target cap is not so nice.
WIth the Rain of FIre it`s like the Void Crash for the Shadow Priest: now you can choose to cast it on a target aswell

I use a cursor macro so when I click it, it automatically casts on my cursor... not sure how well that would help you tho.
kalamzi - with this new tier set ... will we spec dread calling and flame touched as demo? looks worth it to go all in with dog talents.
