Some more things I could have added the video! (As I'm typing this out it looks more and more like a wishlist...): - In this video I say the tuning and talent tree changes are good. It's kind of a mini-rework and they're re-tuning specific abilities to where they feel like should be, so the changes can obviously result in an overall nerf. If that's the case, then it SHOULD be easy to do a broad/generic buff to all abilities to correct it. - I think it's a good decision to nerf Fury's quick AoE burst potential via the Titan's Torment redesign. By nerfing our burst (which was very valuable and strong in raid this season), they SHOULD be able to give us more consistent damage in return. Specifically consistent AoE damage buffs, because that's where I feel we're lacking - especially above 5 targets because we've been tanking a lot of target cap nerfs recently. Abilities they could buff for consistent AoE are Thunder Clap/Blast, Ground Current, Reap the Storm, Odyn's Fury DoT, Gushing Wounds, Meat Cleaver (I would LOVE if it was uncapped but has reduced effectiveness above 5 targets, for example! Especially because we're not even close to top dog on 5 targets). - Odyn's Fury capstones. Dancing Blades has been very weak for all of TWW with the removal of Annihilator and tier sets that benefit that build. It could be replaced by the Dragonflight Seaason 3 set, which made Odyn's Fury increase the damage of your 3 next Bloodthirsts by a large amount and always crit. Titanic Rage also is a very low value capstone. It gives you auto-enrage when you cast Odyn's, and 4 stacks of Whirlwind, and increases Odyn's damage by 10%. It's FEELS great to have this talent, but in reality it's very weak. I think they could replace the Odyn's damage increase with a significant Odyn's DOT damage increase instead - this would increase Odyn's damage without increasing burst damage too much. This especially makes sense with the removal/redesign of Titan's Torment. - It still feels difficult to pick the "nice-to-have" talents in the class tree, such as Intimidating Shout, Piercing Howl, Bitter Immunity, Intervene and Wrecking/Shattering Throw. I really think Crushing Force and Reinforced Plates can be 1-pointers, which will free up points in the middle/top sections of the class tree.. - In M+, Rallying Cry is criminally weak as a temporary 10% health boost on a 3 minute cooldown. It's good enough in raid. I think it could really use the "darkness treatment" - make it stronger in smaller groups. - I REALLY miss having some more skill expression in my class. In Shadowlands I was able to help my teammates survive by Intervening them with the Safeguard conduit before they take unavoidable damage and that could often save them. Perhaps Intervene could become baseline, and Safeguard could take its place in the talent tree? I'm aware Safeguard is currently a PvP talent - that could just get changed to Improved Safeguard in some way (or given to PvPers for free, I don't care lol) - Execute for Fury feels so sad right now. As Mountain Thane, Execute is lower priority than RAGING BLOW. That makes no sense. It doesn't feel good on Slayer either - the "Execute/Bladestorm hero spec". It's only used if you have 3 stacks of MFE, Sudden death is about to expire or you have 2 stacks, if Ashen Juggernaut is about to expire, or as a last resort filler. Why does Execute do so little damage as Fury? - Fresh Meat is a cool talent and feels good to use, but you can't really pick it over Improved Bloodthirst or any of the other competing talents. Maybe remove Improved Bloodthirst and replace it with another QoL talent (and buff Bloodthirst baseline to compensate, of course) - This one is probably controversial, but I really like the feel of Fury when it's FAST. I'm currently forced to play Powerful Enrage for optimal performance in AoE situations. I get that Powerful Enrage is supposed to be an option for those who want to slow down the gameplay because their fingers/wrists aren't what they used to be, but Fury isn't Fury unless it's fast, in my opinion. They could probably nerf Powerful Enrage from 15% damage to 12.5% damage or something, so that it's relatively equal to Frenzied Enrage in AoE, and slightly worse on ST. Perhaps compensate with a baseline buff to Fury if needed afterwards. - Just give me Legion Arms back, man... the day Blizzard fully reworks Arms and uses Legion (preferably Tomb of Sargeras or Antorus era) as the baseline, I'll be a VERY happy man. Also! Apologies for this video being quite long, and sorry if I missed or could have elaborated on things better. I did this in a single take as I wanted to get this video out before I go on holiday. Thank you for reading and watching as always
Literally exactly what i wanted to say. I miss intervene and cool plays i could make with my team. Now its so boring outside of some spell reflects there is nothing fancy that can be done with my class by being "good" with it
Fully agree with all of this. I think this "Wishlist" is roundabout what I most often hear when it comes to issues/complaints with Warrior. I hate that Execute is essentially just a filler (or something you semi-frequently use on Slayer due to the design of the tree). It feels weird to have Execute available and holding off on using it unless some buff needs to be consumed or kept up or nothing else is available to press. Legion had a great approach on Execute between the two Speccs. If I remember correctly, Fury was INSANE for long execute phases, whereas Arms was a very linear, but strong Execute Phase that would take over once that long Execute from Fury doesn't really have the time to ramp up. Both Speccs had respectable Execute, they just differentiated which is better at what length of Execute. Now it feels like they just want Arms to specifically have the button itself do great in Execute phases, whereas a lot of Fury's execute just passively (and imo weakly) comes from BB/BT. Warrior should ALWAYS want to press Execute and be good at Execute. It's one of our signature abilities. It coined the term for this type of Damage to begin with.
Having played a lot of prot this tier, the reason we are flooded with rage is because of our hero talents (mountain thane). So if anything they should look at that, but i do really like the current flow. Tbh if they want us to use collosus they should maybe do something that gives rage like mountain thane.
Thane often caps rage, I primarily use Colossus in raid and in Mythic it can be hard to generate enough rage to keep mitigation up. That challenge can blur the line between exciting and stressful. I'd be ok with a small buff to rage gen for Colossus, but the widespread rage gen nerf runs the risk of making Colossus unviable
Class is “fine “ but if you know dungeons and when to burst ur cd’s so u cant be shaman or paladin and just cast everything and het 3m dmg. I personally dont like thunderous roar nerf, it was a huge dps boost, odins is also outa game. I am not sure what is going to happenwith furry season 2. We were outa meta whole season steuggling to get into mythics etc, and now i think its gonna be even worse.
I swapped off since DF season 3 just because we bring nothing for group utility and the rotations are frankly kinda boring to me. Class tree is a mess and spec trees aren’t much better. I’m basically only willing to come back after a full rework of the class.
the change to the point cost for reinforced plates and overwhelming rage may seem 'pointless' in the short term, just moving a point around between 2 talents you already take. but its actually something that i hope they keep doing for all classes over the patches. leaving stuff alone because the end result is ok is how you get huge mismatches in power when new content lands, if a class is too reliant on a set bonus, a talent or a hero tree it means that any new system has to be stacked on top of that and will probably make the situation worse. it is really important they take the time to make sure the actual 'value' of each talent is in line with its cost, not just that the end result works out ok. because that means when they add the next system or temp power its not hard locked behind assumptions about your spec or a certain bonus being available to you.
I hate these gambling tier sets so much, plus the changes and M+ untouched and buffed even more... I already cancelled my sub after my guildmates stopped raiding but I don't see a proper motivation to resub after these developer notes Thank you for your thoughts, it strengthened my resolve
I was thinking to play prot s2 but idk after these changes. How do i generate rage while gathering mobs that hit like trucks to put up shield block and stack ignore pain now. Also the good thing about having a lot of rage was the art of not losing ignore pain but now it will fall off and if u dont have rage gg.
Not having colossal might on execute will stop you from having demolish on a bunch of pulls throughout the dungeon especially if there is one big mob that lasts longer than the others or a focus mob and you get to execute it....also just your natural use of execute on single target and sudden death....i only do 10s and 11s tho so for me i need all the instant damage i can get
Prot warrior always felt like the slowest tank in the game outside of charging to an enemy. You have 1, literally 1 ability and it's on a really long cooldown with 1 charge. I switched to brew master and could never go back to warrior. Oh my goodness lol the fun you have bouncing around double jumping zooming through the air and constant speed buffs is lovely.
14:04 "If they are nerfing titan's torment they probably need to buff odyn's fury to compensate for the loss of titans torment" This, literally this, already in current keys warriors are making the decision to spec out of odyns for 2x VC depending on the dungeon But we all know how blizzard treats step two of dps warrior design
19:30 this change would be whatever if the upcoming tier set wasnt about Shield Charge. So because of this resetting SC makes it not much more than slightly better shield slam. Otherwise we would have some more rage to spend to reset our cds more often
Just a note for the Tier Set. Also not dooming about that one, it looks really good. And Blizzard has apparently made a Coat Item that has it's 3D bottom piece controlled by the Chest instead of the Legs, so I assume for the DK Set and potentially Warrior Sets going forward, they can make Undercoat type situations with Plate Gear be controlled by the Chest Slot. Just some trivia. For the set itself, the Helmet could really use some extra additions to it, it's too plain compared to the rest of the set.
I disagree with you cake. Nerfing prowess was not the answer. 15% of 400k is still going to be 460k. We are losing roughly 30% buff to it. I dont think that changing talent points around to not focus on overpower as much would be beneficial when the new set bonus focuses on OP.
the thing i realy want as arms warrior is colossus smash and demolish be lined up in solo target situations. btw our tier set looks like a picific rim robot suit from Temu
Arms isnt bad cause buff we are bad cause our gameplay, in my opinion the most funny and nice torr bonus was the thunderclap tiers from s2 playing aroung tc as arms was nice and makes sense i never understand why gave to fury this spec focused to thunderclap into fury spec?? Blizzard company hiring just wom people and not a real gamer have a nice day bro
I am new to retail and the way warrior is now but long time classic player and this all feels and reads to be nerfing across the board specifically for a class that is under performing on the most recent wcl aggregate data. M+ invites are far few and in between for me looking 12-13 area. Titans torment change seems like you are set to bloodbath/raging blow during reck which means you can’t bladestorm during your reck/avatar/trinket window you’ll need to wait till reck is over and that does more for offset cd issue
well perfect timing .. I'm a warrior main since the begining, mas maybe thinking about going prot for pve and arms for pvp next season. Now I don't know.. I'm still thorn between my DH and my warr.. nice.. any help? :D
Colossus Arms ST will suffer from the Execute change. It was already difficult enough to line up Warbreaker+Demolish in ST with high crit+haste, battlelord and execute procs, and now there's even less leeway for that.
I don't think you're supposed to try and line them up. I tried that at first as well but that cost me like 10% or even more DPS. That's a theme for all Warrior CDs that get desynced for whatever reason by the way, you just embrace the zug zug and hit them whenever they get off CD.
@@Weerknuffelbeer I've been able to do it with minimal holding for CS windows. You need high crit (40+%), high haste, Battlelord and Sudden Death, then casting MS on CD hoping it crits, getting Battlelord resets as much as possible and pressing SD proc when you have neither Overpower or MS available (or it's about to run out). You need to play every global as well as possible and not waste the Ravager MS procs by pressing CS->Ravager->Demolish in the opener. At 10 stacks of Demolish you can also Ravager->CS->Demolish to have the free Ravager MS reduce the CD of demolish during the channel.
Just bring back legion antorus fury with proper execute phase, best gameplay of fury warrior ever made, it properly feel like a berserking just slamming the shit out of enemies
Did you not like the tier set appearance for this current tier, 11.0? I really like it! The prot warrior changes seems really bad.. will have to wait and see, but I main'd prot this tier and not sure I'll continue doing so if those changes go live, as is. Sure, 30% more on ignore pain is nice. But it could just end up feeling clunky and slow. Will have to wait and see, but initial thought is not liking it.
I think execute and rampage need to hit significantly harder, imo they should go back to legion execute model for fury it should be a spender that sometimes procs a free rampage. execute on fury hasnt felt good since.
Unless we get more utility like bloodlust or grip (like sod) we wont ever be picked in m+. Our whole weaknes is utility and they havent adressed that at all! Seems i will continue playing my dk and shaman
I can see why Blizz did want to address Fury AoE. It was pretty strong. Still not as strong as class that simply have uncapped AoE ... but lets not think about that while my rage bar is teetering on overcapping. So they reworked Titans Torment. It no longer gives us a second Odyns Fury - nor does it turn Odyns Fury into a mini Avatar - instead it does ... nothing. Ok fine, at least they turned Recklessness into a cooldown again, if you talent it, and then it slightly increased Raging blow damage. Also a roar nerf for some reason. But this is FINE. It just means that the 3 people that still do M+ will no longer find groups and we still do mediocre boss damage while providing as much utility as 7.8% of a health potion. Tier Set bonus looks ok since its thematic but its just pure RNG - if I wanted that I'd play whatever they call combat rogue these days.
I've only seen people hating on mostly every singular tier set. There's been 0 videos ive seen that people have said this is utterly amazing. Everyones basically saying, this feels like nothing & the tier set wont feel like its a monumental piece of gear to get. Kinda bummed they felt the need to do the gambling tier set and not even realize how rotations work for almost every class LMFAO
@@Critcake I think that access only comes when the Raid hits the legacy threshold, but I'm pretty sure you should still be able to do it in someway. And from trying, you can absolutely shit all over Aberrus Heroic/Mythic as is, so Amirdrassil LFR should be extremely easy to get through as well. You just don't get any Loot to drop specifically because it's not Legacy yet and you basically just get a 20% chance to drop an item as a solo player. Not sure if that also applies to LFR, but it might. In which case farming alone would not be advised.
Nah, Im done with WoW. It feels like CONSTANT testing, with abilities being updated every 2 weeks. They either don't play the game or don't know how they want us to play.
Yep lol. They nerfed anything with avoidance in it at the start of tww. Seasoned soldier avoidance was nerfed from 10% to 5%. Weapon spec and reinforced plates buff will make a huge diffy though
I don't know without the there may be tuning all of those don't sound great all. 10% Stam you could have had already and I really appreciated the current iteration of reckless abandon since at least it didn't feel like only throwing cotton balls. Raging blow might as well be autoattack wouldn't miss it at all. Execute also feels like such a useless filler already and sudden death is such a boring talent. Already also only played prot in m+ because fury and arms are just sad and the nerfs are huge.
The only spec technically coming out of this better is Colossus Arms, and it's still going to be gimped in raid, and still caught a nerf to Execute/Demolish interaction. Colossus Prot inadvertently gets nerfed hard, and it's not even viable *right now*. The Reap nerf kills Slayer Arms in keys. Colossus will straight up be superior, it looks like, but that Execute nerf on it is heavy. Fury sounds like it's going to be forced back into Anger Management. Again. Protection getting nerfed hard, both damage and survival. Not even aimed at Thane. Tier set is an actual slot machine. Feels like we're being mocked for Fury having been a slot machine spec for ~10 years. The survival un-nerf doesn't feel like much when everything killing us is a one shot most of the time anyway. This really is a good omen to retire from CE raiding and the game again.
They really think prot warriors were making too much rage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Spamming ignore pain is literally a problem Blizz caused by making damage spikes so atrocious if we don't have enough ignore pain up... Oh and if they nerf rage Regen in this manner Colossus will just be absolute shit
While I do enjoy Odyn's Fury thematically, I do understand how it has limited the spec's design space and I'm glad the devs are moving away from the button. Hoping they come back to OF with new ways to make it fun and fair
@@alexis1156 it was incredibly strong early on into the season before they nerfed it, fury warrior had by far the best burst aoe in the game which made them op on multiple raid fights
@@jagosvujovic2086 only on low hp mobs. Don't forget that, if the target lives, we are dogshit. I it dies, other doesn't exists. It is a major design problem, but not because it was "too powerfull", just too impactfull for the first few seconds, then nothing.
Honestly, i HATE theese bonus sets. As usual since at least TWW, they have absolutly no sens and are underpowered af. Like what the hell, they want to re design arm warriors for them to focus more on mortal strikes and less on overpower and others. Bonus set: buffs overpower, and not mortal strike. Fury: gain an ASTRONOMICAL buff of TWO PERCENT!! on rampage when you use it, rampage already being meh damages, and rampages can consume this effect, nerfing it in the process... for a minor buff on 2 fillers, only for one use, and from what i understand it will buff EITHER bloodthirst or raging blow, but not both? So a massive apm spec will need a WA to track a random buff that procs randomly during your rotation, and in a split of a second decid if you use BT or RB? And only for such a small gain? Bruh... they really need to add "Kappa" at the end of every single warrior set, changes, or post they do about warriors... this is how i felt the bonus sets for dps warriors, a massive Kappa in my face...
I dont think so its better than arma but yes i playing three specs and noone is good mainly arms ours gameplay sucks as hell, i think fury gameplay its kind funny but we are so weak
Some more things I could have added the video! (As I'm typing this out it looks more and more like a wishlist...):
- In this video I say the tuning and talent tree changes are good. - Odyn's Fury capstones. Dancing Blades has been very weak for all of TWW with the removal of Annihilator and tier sets that benefit that build. Colossus Arms ST will suffer from the Execute change. It was already difficult enough to line up Warbreaker+Demolish in ST with high crit+haste, battlelord and execute procs, and now there's even less leeway for that.
colossus doesn't use execute as much anyway though
Will have to wait and see, but initial thought is not liking it.
biggest change for fury remove execute from your bars ( on Thane)
good start, need more (they wont do anything else)
I think execute and rampage need to hit significantly harder, imo they should go back to legion execute model for fury it should be a spender that sometimes procs a free rampage. execute on fury hasnt felt good since.
Unless we get more utility like bloodlust or grip (like sod) we wont ever be picked in m+. Our whole weaknes is utility and they havent adressed that at all! Seems i will continue playing my dk and shaman
i swear t-set bonuses just been the same multiplier for ever by now. im so sick of buffing my rampage or mortal strike oder overpower for 2 percent
It's not gonna make up for our massive lack of utility, sadge
Tier Set bonus looks ok since its thematic but its just pure RNG - if I wanted that I'd play whatever they call combat rogue these days.
these chances on prot warr so dumb like i've never had or heard some complain about too much rage, just dump it on ignore pains thats the beauty in it
i miss the annihilator build lol. it was at least better than on slot
Can you talk about WE need a "Group BUff" damage reduce.. BL or something..
I like your sword tmog. How does one get it and is it still available to get?
Incandescent Soulcleaver from LFR Smolderon. Can you get into Amirdrassil LFR right now? I'm not sure
Why is single minded fury even a talent point of should be a built in passive when using 1h's remove it put something in it's place
I hate to see a big nerf in my prot war and nothing about prot paladin
thry need to give Demolish some actual range
its so cringe when the mob moves just out of its range which feels like its 1 yard sometimes
Arms need gameplay rework!!!
Nah, Im done with WoW. It feels like CONSTANT testing, with abilities being updated every 2 weeks. They either don't play the game or don't know how they want us to play.
So, they took away (or nerfed, I don't remember) that avoidance passive that Arms would get, then just gave it back into talents?
Yep lol. They nerfed anything with avoidance in it at the start of tww. Seasoned soldier avoidance was nerfed from 10% to 5%. Weapon spec and reinforced plates buff will make a huge diffy though
i thing its time to switch in ret pala after 20 years playing warr i cant get in key whit my favorite class
S2 was meta distance for sure ! I go play mage for s2 or war arms .. fury was destroy .. sad
Warriors are the underrated class with feral druids
They really think prot warriors were making too much rage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Spamming ignore pain is literally a problem Blizz caused by making damage spikes so atrocious if we don't have enough ignore pain up...
Oh and if they nerf rage Regen in this manner Colossus will just be absolute shit
They killed my main spec as prot warrior, those devs don't even play the game.
*insert codfin meme* warrior doom era continues
Blizz couldn't resist the urge to nerf warriors for the millionth time LoL
How do you have 21k mastery? Lol great video tho as usual
arms needs a rework
fury set bonus reads like shit
While I do enjoy Odyn's Fury thematically, I do understand how it has limited the spec's design space and I'm glad the devs are moving away from the button. Hoping they come back to OF with new ways to make it fun and fair
I don't get this. Of is not even that strong
Bring back legion of with the odyn/helya empower
@@alexis1156 it was incredibly strong early on into the season before they nerfed it, fury warrior had by far the best burst aoe in the game which made them op on multiple raid fights
@@jagosvujovic2086 only on low hp mobs. Don't forget that, if the target lives, we are dogshit. I it dies, other doesn't exists. It is a major design problem, but not because it was "too powerfull", just too impactfull for the first few seconds, then nothing.
@@seijurohikko6382 thats why i said it was op on multiple boss fights that just so happen to have high prio adds that need to die asap
Dear Santa, pls rework warrior. 😖😖😖
Bruh... they really need to add "Kappa" at the end of every single warrior set, changes, or post they do about warriors... this is how i felt the bonus sets for dps warriors, a massive Kappa in my face...
day infinite of waiting for them to make Single Minded Fury viable.
The prot changes sound horrible, no way ill play prot 11.1 lol
Paladins are by far the strongest tanks right now. Let's nerf warrior
I can't with this unbalanced dev team. They're trash.
"Meaningful way to spend rage" 🤡🤡🤡
prot warrior dead
me warrior me charge me zug me die LOL
Can you express your opinion on the fact that Fury performs worse than all other classes and specs in the game in solo targeting?
I dont think so its better than arma but yes i playing three specs and noone is good mainly arms ours gameplay sucks as hell, i think fury gameplay its kind funny but we are so weak
