This is a demo video of how I sew the six matching triangles into two halves that create the hexies to build Hexified Panel Quilts or One Block Wonders.
Liz this is a great lesson. I wish I had pressed my seams open. Also I followed another video and trimmed all the dog ears so....... i will know next time😊
Hi Jennifer, are you referring to the 1/4" seam guide ruler? I had some made that I sell strictly at my workshops. There are several companies who make & sell them, plus we got one in a shop hop goodie bag as a gift. Look for 1/4" seam guide or seam allowance ruler. :-)
I liked that the directions you did give were clear … but was disappointed that you didn’t show how you cut your fabric so that you had all these coordinated pieces in the first place 😔. I can’t understand how you got all the same cut from on panel. 😕
Each step is a separate video. I'm working with projects that have been in the UFO bag, so are past the cutting stage. There will be a new video as soon as I start a new project. :-)
I, too, was disappointed to find this lack. I think this would make an awesome hand quilted piece. Is there somewhere you could tell us where to get these directions? I do love the clear and easy directions! Your camera Mas was great!
I love how you show each stage of the sewing. Working on one of your Christmas kits.
I love ❤ hexies!!! Thank you for sharing these great tips.

Love your tutorial! I think you have given me the best instructions for how to sew these hexies ❤️ Now I just need to learn how to cut them 🤔😀
Thank you! There's also one on cutting and the video I have linked from Timeless Treasures takes you through 90% of the process from cutting on!

Everyone has their way of doing it. Obviously we like the way we do it. Learn from many and then take what you like and leave the rest. :-)
Yep. Good thoughts for quilting and life! Thanks for reaponding
