This might come down to the OP's experience when dealing with confrontation through competitive fighting & it helped him through this ordeal...but being labeled as "not so bright" was clearly the cheating guy trying to prop himself up by belittling the OP to boost his own status... The cheating wife, well... She went along with it because the guy had status, money, future prospects & credentials

I think the guy in the story should get full custody, the ex doesn't seem to be stable at all in this point in time and its pretty dangerous with her drinking and bringing in random guys, it sounds somewhat dangerous or at the very least danaging for the kids to be around her.
She turned away a hard-working and good-looking husband and dad, for someone who has higher credentials and more drinking habits? Talk about a loss on her part. PS: based on this story, sometimes street smarts > book smarts
Street smarts goes a long way. My BFF and her husband are college graduates and she has always been snobby about it. Growing up her family was well off then mine also. My husband got into trouble and barely graduated from high school. So my BFF always felt a bit superior. Well now 25 years later my husband alone makes more then my BFF and her husband combine and we have a better quality of life.
How is he doing now? It seems that the more i read some of these, the more i realize my ex had really fuck up all prospects of long-term relationships 10 years later. Well, patience is always important, and better never to confront a cheater. Let the attorney confront them, making it clear that they cannot manipulate you to give them a second chance. That would be a punch in the face from reality.
My dude is the smartest out of every guy I’ve read about. This dude plans ahead, and that’s the key. Girls talk about not having good men, but then chase them all away.
I don't think it is just girls - it seems like lots of men and women are somehow turned off my really nice people. It's like they need some edgy person to be their partner or it is not "exciting" enough for them. When I grew up, every girl I knew said they wanted a "nice" guy but they always went for the nasty, macho ones. And almost every guy I knew just cared about what a woman looked like. And if I liked a girl who didn't have the right "look," the other guys would taunt me ruthlessly. I'm now in my 50s and I still don't understand people.

Also your right in your reply to Vale Sauce, eventually the new guy gets bored and will leave them as they left their loyal husband/old guy for the same petty reasons! This is why I consider cheaters as "lazy" cause it feels they want to go back to the start of the relationship where things were wild and free, instead of evolving the relationship to the next level! They represent "stagnation" which is why the relationship fails as their "Boring" partner seem all ready to take things to the next stage and are waiting for them to do it as well......only to wait in vain as their lazy ass partner wants to instead "start over" but doesn't want to lose what they have till they feel they can cut it off without losing the new one! It's funny how they never realized "this was just a pump and dump" though no surprise, the Affair partner never made them aware BECAUSE they knew it might offend them to be called what they are and end things!)
Why do they insist on trashing the spouse when they cheat? Is it to make themselves feel better about cheating, like because "he's not too bright" he deserves to get cheated on? The cheater chose to be with the person they are mocking so what does that make them?
It's a defensive mechanism and it's used to shift blame and escape guilt. I'm cheating because my partner is not good at XYZ... so it's not my fault see? If you don't trust your partner to be out of your sight, up to and including going on holiday without you, you probably shouldn't be in that relationship. What do I think about the whole situation? To answer the narrator in the talk/ video. I believe the fellow featured in the video is a good Man. Who has MUCH integrity, soul. Who is a VERY good Father. A VERY good husband... And most likely a VERY good trainer in the Martial Arts. Who is a Fighter, but has Great compassion, and deep understanding. His former "wife" has lost a Husband. She can GO to where she rightfully belongs. To the the Devil, and Hell. I wish I could meet this Gentleman. And shake his hand. And tell him this... VERY GOOD WORK SIR.! You truly deserve the best!
The friends gfs jumping to set him up cracked me right up! LMFAO “She never thought I’d leave her” so she did something she knew for a fact would devastate him, she willingly betrayed him and her reasoning was that she thought he’d suck it up, be in pain, do all the hard work emotionally to move on and just try to bury his bitterness all so she can step around behind his back.
Sounds to me that OP's wife acted very similar to men who are also high earners. They seem to think that the money is the entire basis of the relationship.
@Vale Sauce Sort of like the men who choose a woman based on her looks and not on her personality and then wonder why she's only interested in the man's money. Men are judged on their perceived wealth, women on their perceived "hotness". Nothing new.
I don't get the whole privacy between married spouses. You are married, you are both one person, the only privacy should be between you two and the world.
Thats quite an old fashioned idea you have there buddy. Carefull with that old fashioned mindset or youll be hurt in the future. That idea is dangerous in our time.
@Nolo Kobo Have you seen, reddit, twitter, the mainstream news, youtube, etc.. marriage USED to mean something but after feminism and liberalism no so much. Women in the third world sound more reasonable when compared to American women and, to a smaller extent, European women when simply describing marriage. Thats really fucking sad.
@Doesn't Matter im actually a man and i never said any of that so dont put words in my mouth. On you cheating comment as well, NO is the simple answer. As far as i see it, a cheater when discovered and PROVEN to have cheated should simply be through on the street by their hair (ideally anyway, laws exist so this will never happen realisticly). My point is that marriage in the past actually meant something. Divorce wasnt the first option as it is to couples these days (so much for love), family courts ussualy throw husbands into the streets withempty pockets and a alimony + child support and the couples in the past got divorced after 30+ years on average as aopposed to the 6 ( give or take) now. Among many others btw. My reply to the original commenter was a light jab at his old fashioned way of thinking in this modern, and honestly, unfeeling world. And yes it is old fashioned to think like that, marriage still exists but the people getting marriwd these days dont hold views like his for long (after marriage) if at all. People these days are in love with lust NOT love.
@Doesn't Matter Don't blame feminism. Every movement has idiots who twist and pervert the ideal to justify their own actions. It would be like blaming all of Christianity for the actions of the splinter cults. It's tempting to just denounce it all, but that's easy, lazy, and prone to misjudgement.
@@notevenlistening6072 The definition of feminism is the belief in social, economic, and political equality of the sexes. That's it. It's not about hating men or women or marriage or "family values". It means that your gender should not determine your opportunities in society. That is actually very scary to many people.
Here's some insight into why he immediately ended it without any hesitation, compared to so many other stories where the guy tries to make her just promise to end it, just hoping she will. He's a highly skilled martial artist. Also coming from that background two things are paramount. Discipline and respect. There is zero tolerance for lack of discipline and lack of respect. Her cheating showed she had no discipline and had no respect for him. That's a complete deal breaker. Also because of what she did he no longer has any respect for her. Respect is something you earn and she threw it away. There is no way he can be married to someone he has no respect for.
Every times I hear about a woman who suddenly stats getting in shape and isn't around as much i remember what Chris Titus said she's not putting new headlights on an old car for you
OP did very well to maintain his composure in the beginning. A situation like this can make you feel like you’re going crazy given all the emotions you feel hitting you in a single moment. It can either do one of two things, it can make you or break you. He was right when he used his focus on training his fighters and being a good father to his kids. The best advice I could give is to always keep your mind occupied on other interests because if You don’t you’ll get stuck inside your own head thinking about nothing but the pain and everything associated with it.
0634-When a woman talks about another man to her partner, it's a warning that he's partner's replacement. Same reason women get mad when partner talks about another woman even when it's completely innocent on his side.
So when a man talks about another woman it's completely innocent but when a woman talks about another man to her partner, it's a warning that he's partner's replacement. Riight.
@@shells500tutubo It actually IS right. Men know better than to talk to their partners about a woman that turns them on, but women, for some reason, seem to be unable to keep it to themselves. Perhaps because they are social butterflies. :-P Anyway, can confirm from personal experience that this is true.
Brilliant the way you handled it. As a martial artist myself. I can understand the temptation to take the guy out and her. But we both know the consequences of it. Just be glad you found out and got rid of her. Get yourself STD tested. I wish you good luck 😔
1:58 It's been my experience that when a woman starts talking about some guy, she's into him and most likely has been doing the naughties with him. Yes the word is experience.. TWICE. two different women. Pay attention, guys.
I've watched a few people flush their lives down the drain because of an affair and it never ceases to baffle me. I know that everyone has their own story and their own demons but in almost every case I have seen it is just the person trying to get a thrill and it catches up with them. Why? It seems so unnecessary - you not only throw a relationship (often a good one) away, but everyone I know that has been cheated on now has lower self esteem and genuine relationship problems because they can never fully trust anyone again. Why do this to yourself and someone else. It really isn't that hard to just say - look, I love you but I'm not happy and I think we need to move on - I don't want thing to get so bad that we can't stay friends (especially if you have kids together). There seems to be a lot of really self-destructive behaviour out there, and I guess people are just a lot more confused and troubled than I thought..
This dude is honestly a type of hope for me his situation is awful and I feel devistated just reading this but the way he dealt with it and how he didn’t allow someone to control and ruin his life even though he had kids and time placed in it makes me feel hopeful as if we all can do the right thing even in the hardest circumstances
Book reading smarten you up and makes your mind a better place to process and think straight. You get smarter reading a book not gossip or trashy papers.
(Word of advice) When your girlfriend or wife is gushing about another guy then suddenly stops that's a big sign that she has started cheating. It also tells you with who. Especially if she then turns off the sex. That's because she's giving it to that guy.
The fact that he is dating a much younger girl rather than a woman closer to his age, like the one his friends were trying to set him up with, tells me that it’s true that men do that to feel good about themselves. This guy got cheated on and called stupid for not having a high education by his wife and AP who earned more than he did and the first thing he does is go after a young girl.
Not sure why the OPs ex spiraled into depression. Her hypergamous instincts were obviously getting the best of her, and with divorce papers in hand, she could now pursue them unhindered. Oh yeah, this woman made the miscalculation that no high value man wants to be with a 40 year old divorcee with kids. She's waaaay post-wall. And she was probably acutely aware of this until some creep at work looking for a fling shows her a little attention. Suddenly, she feels 23 again. But her SMV wasn't suddenly rising, rather she was just getting on the carousel. And the cruel irony is her ex's SMV was actually peaking with all the women suddenly interested that he was single. She probably doesn't realize it, but the only thing she can look forward to now is a ride on the carousel with men who ghost her while drowning her sorrows in a bottle of wine and prescription meds every night for the anxiety and depression that she battles everyday.
My ex has tried "suicide" (though I think she's more crying for attention) twice that I know of in the few years after our split. It's been like 25 years now so I have no idea if there were others, or if she's even still alive, though I might've heard something if that were the case. Maybe.
I'm always proud of those OP's who respect themselves enough NOT to allow themselves to be mistreated and duped. This guy recognized that he'd never be able to trust his wife again. He recognized that staying in such a relationship would lead to resentment and misery. He recognized that the best thing to do would be to LEAVE. I'm glad he didn't try spouting that nonsense about keeping the family together "for the kids". I was one of those "kids" whose parents stayed together "for us". *SPOILER ALERT* : it is NEVER "for the kids". This is just an excuse people use when they are too weak to take a stand and LEAVE. My brother and I had a _MISERABLE_ childhood, full of abuse, neglect, a bipolar, narcissistic mother who took out her anger and hurt at our cheating, inattentive father onto US. Kudos to this OP for leaving. He _as well as_ his kids will be SO MUCH happier. 💙
You dont have to "confront the other guy." Just call your wife's work and report them both to HR. Its a good bet they are violating company policy. Then call his wife.
I guess now she is paying for it. more work and less money. while he is able to live a fulfilling life full on positive outcome. I guess is comes down to mind set he got from fighting. if every guy divorcing their cheating wife resulted like this woman mind just stop doing it in the first place. hats to off you man.
The guys only mistake was making his split public. You keep up strong appearance and share little of it except for immediate family, and legal and therapeutic counsel. You don’t go into a shell. Women love seeing their wronged husband groveling. You avoid this and you’ll be able to bounce back very soon. I did
Generally, for the future: age gaps matter when the stage in life a person is in is different. It doesn't matter during dating, but during marriage it is important. When both are working adults a larger age gap is fine. And if one person is retired and the other still working after 20 years together or so that's not really a problem either, but it might become troublesome if she retires and want to enjoy life, but he is too old and sick to keep up. But that's a far future problem.
Again I am reminded about how weird (and rampant) casual alcoholism is. I wish you would come out drinking more? Really? I hate this. Not everyone drinks. I get looked at like I'm the strange one whenever it ever came up at work or social occasions...I'm not anti-drinking...I've been there, I've done that...kind of grew out of it. I find far too many people blur the line between convincing themselves it's just a drink or two and full on deluding themselves that it's not a problem when it's nearly always double that. Humans have big problems with alcohol addiction...I've seen enough to know I don't want it. I'll drink. I'll have a stein of a nice Weißbier or occasionally a corona or two with a meal, but we're talking once every month at most...and I don't get into people that do drink on the regular, I don't put them down for it...but it is weird, the cult like behaviour and perception of me being some kind of outsider. I mean shit, I use weed...not incessantly or all the time, I just prefer it...another thing that tends to get looked down on mostly by folks that drink. Humans are weird.
While I don't wish ill on anyone, there is some satisfaction in a cosmic justice. I just know that if the income levels were reversed the victim would be paying support to the abuser. That aside, I hope she gets the drinking under control. That will need to be watched, for the children's sake.

I find it really strange how a cheater’s MO is almost always exactly the same. When they have an affair, they are usually mean as pit vipers to their spouse, and refuse physical affection. Some kind of loyalty to their affair partner, I wonder? Then when they’re caught, they often beg and plead for their old lives and partners back. WHY? If you could be intentionally cruel while betraying someone, why would you then want that person back… the same person who was treated with contempt?
Whoever said this guy was stupid or "an animal" deserves a slap comparable to a slap from god. This guy is a good bit smarter than a good portion of college students.
The ex sounded like a control freak at the end. She was only happy knowing she was juggling two guys and felt in control only to be found out in the end and end up alone and broken. Sure she could find guys online, however they always come and go and she had no power over them. That’s when she was spiraling down and lost everything: her husband, her affair partner, her looks.
For men the commitment is the commitment. That's why the husband is still around not having sex with her…

Marriage is a commitment, you only have that commitment with one person, there shouldn't need to be anybody else. (And why their shocked at how fragile the new one is!

You're being too nice. You should have gotten a Private Investigator and collected as much evidence as you could. It still may not be too late.
As a BJJ guy myself I want to know who this guy is
he sounds like a cool guy!
@@supergeeky7529 every Jiu Jitsu practitioner are cool guys even the women
Good for OP! I'm happy for him.
At minimum, make her confession to the guy's wife as condition for 'reconciliation'. Move forward.
A very wise man. Kudos and many blessings.
A monumental win ... he told her to hold that L right quick
You dont have to "confront the other guy."
Just call your wife's work and report them both to HR. Its a good bet they are violating company policy. Then call his wife.
Another feel-good story!
I guess now she is paying for it. more work and less money. while he is able to live a fulfilling life full on positive outcome. I guess is comes down to mind set he got from fighting. if every guy divorcing their cheating wife resulted like this woman mind just stop doing it in the first place. hats to off you man.
I love a story with a happy ending...
The guys only mistake was making his split public. You keep up strong appearance and share little of it except for immediate family, and legal and therapeutic counsel. You don’t go into a shell. Women love seeing their wronged husband groveling. You avoid this and you’ll be able to bounce back very soon.
I did
Once a cheater always a cheater, never take them back.
Why do cheating spouse always want to reconcile? You disliked your partner enough to betray them, so just leave and have the life you want.
These wife’s that say / think their husband will never leave them, makes it *_soo_* much better whe no they do indeed leave her.
His ex thought there would never be consequences and now reality has caught up and she realised it sucks to be in her shoes
Yeah yeah nice! Just rip it off like a bandaid nice work OP
But that's a far future problem.
there is allways going to be a punishment for cheating. you are the lowest of the low if you cheat on someone that dont deserve that kind of heartache

Your first instinct is the most correct ...investigate... document and divorce...don't be a doormat
OP better hope his ex stays healthy. He seems to meed her for child support.
You're clearly projecting...
It's a 2 way street 🤷🏿♀️ I honestly have no clue what the point/meaning of this comment I supposed to mean cause nothing positive comes to mind
@@casualcausalityy nope, not a parent or a wife. Nor do I condone the wife’s behavior. But if he’s relying on her income, he needs to hope that she can continue working.
@@pixiestxNyomouf what’s so hard to understand? OP better hope his ex stays healthy since she’s the one supporting him and kid. If she burns out, and he gleeful she’s having a hard time. Then who’s going to support them? I’m not saying she wasn’t wrong.
@@quix66hiya22 so I was right to assume it was not positive. Good. Who said he was reveling in her suffering? No one but you. Also, in terms of her supporting him, you can blame the court system and herself for that 🤷🏿♀️ she didn't expect him to leave him for her vile behavior towards him and there marriage/family, so these are the consequences that she seemed to chose to be ignorant to.
My physics professor in high school once said that intelligent people dont't do well in universities.
Whoever said this guy was stupid or "an animal" deserves a slap comparable to a slap from god. This guy is a good bit smarter than a good portion of college students.
When she found out how much money she has to pay you a month she got mad lol oh how ironic she is paying for her affair in more ways than one
Now she has no one to feel superior over.
U did the rightfull to thing and handle the situation very well
One thing that boils my blood is how the CHEATER stops intimacy with the SPOUSE cause they feel like they are CHEATING on their AP with their SPOUSE
I really like this guy... I guess the "Animal" was smarter than they thought...LOL!
