- In an historic move, the Washington State Legislature has approved Ballot Initiative 2113 giving police officers more leeway to pursue suspects if there is a reasonable suspicion that a person has violated the law.
Currently, officers can only initiate a pursuit if they have a reasonable suspicion that a person in the vehicle is committing or has committed a violent offense, a sex offense, a vehicular assault offense, a domestic violence offense, an escape, or is driving under the influence.

So the teen nearly kills someone, assaulted an elderly woman, has prior assaults, the judge should be held accountable.
She needs to be removed
In my opinion all judges should be able to get voted out by their jurisdictions every 4 years. It should be the same rules as a recalling a state governor. If you get enough names on a petition, you should be able to recall them at any time. Federal judges should have similar rules except have it done through congress, excluding the supreme court.
The idea is that the teen is from a marginalized community and special considerations should be applied. In this criminal's mind the idea is that is ok to let all the hate against this other race go through because he won't be punished for that. These news and the roles of each race (assaulted /aggressor) keeps repeating itself with the audience doing nothing
And the judges sent him back home to his mother, who apparently couldn't prevent him from becoming a violent criminal at 15 years of age. I would like to see that judge hold her accountable for letting her kid hang around on the streets and commit crimes at the age of 15. Parents are responsible for the actions of their kids, but that is totally ignored in this case.
And all this violence with a 'supposedly' BAD HEART-?medical condition?!! Judge is absolutely responsible for all further victims & should be held ACCOUNTABLE when it happens!!

There is no telling how many crimes have been committed by offenders she let out pretrial or showed unreasonable leniency and allowing to walk after trial. Allow victims to sue judges and Prosecutors for injuries just like you can in car insurance cases. Or put them behind bars for the number of days difference from when the crime was done to the court date. It's a combination in Washington like many states. Legislators passing ridiculous reforms on things such as bail, pursuits, reducing former felony crimes to misdemeanors, feckless and activist DA's and their staff not prosecuting, using the super bug that shut down the world as an excuse to empty prisons with 1000's of early releases, as well as local jails. They also began the practice of issueing summons for arrestable offenses rather than taking people to jail to keep them empty, a practice that has continued ever since. People falsely believe "red" states are tougher, but they've been doing much of the same. Continuously releasing people with multiple separate violent felonies out on bond where they just continue to violent crimes. Then there's places like El Salvador where crime has plummeted in the last 3 yrs while it's skyrocketing here... Hmmm, can't imagine how that happened. If I was some crazy tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist I might think it was orchestrated, but I'm sure it's all merely coincidence.

It's teaching our young felons that they can do just about anything, get arrested for it, and still be home in time for dinner, and possibly not even have charges pressed. Meanwhile, our generation (we're _very_ close in age) did have consequences and discipline that taught us if we did something wrong, we'd have to "dance to the tune," as it were. In other words, we learned *_not_* to "F around and find out." We really need the "old ways" to come back for the modern generation.

The man that lost his eye should seek justice what a horrible situation that kid doesn't deserve to live around normal people!!
What do you mean he should seek justice? Isn’t that what he was doing in the courtroom?
@@poolmonkey I would think he would be civilly prosecuting the state and city that did not lock him away for years, after the prior crimes he has done. This teen criminal was sooner or later going to injure or kill some one.
We need a way to hold these impatient, ineffective judges accountable when criminals commit crimes in the duration of time that the judges chose to not have them in custody or give bail.
For those who missed it, Washington also is removing the requirement to pass the bar exam to be an attorney ….
