- In this episode we are heading to Nasi Kandar Beratur Original (NKBO) in Masjid Kapitan Keling road, Georgetown.
Located next to Kapitan Keling mosque, NKBO Is is also known as Restoran Liyaqat Ali and have been serving nasi kandar to patrons for eight decades.
NKBO is well known especially to out-of-towners who usually will stop by the joint just to savour the nasi kandar here.

I haven't had a chance to try this one yet!!! 😅
Yeah it's hard to come eat here because of the operating hours. If you don't mind the queuing up, then just come when it opens at 9:30pm. For me I prefer not to wait and to line up, so I come between 3am-6am 😁. They only time they've opened during daylight was back during covid when the curfew for eateries was until 10pm, then later to 12 midnight. And even then, cannot dine in, only takeaway.
@@WanderingMunchers Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. What happened to Penangite's "supper culture"? Hahahaha.. before COVID there were always places to eat 24/7. Nowadays the choices are limited.
Pi penang semua kedai nasi kandar kena beratur panjang. Sempat try hameediyah & yusuf nasi kandar je....😊
Beratur panjang tu memang lumrah nasi kandar. Tapi ada waktu2 yg kebiasaanya tak ada baris panjang. Waktu sesuai makan nasi kandar kalau taknak beratur panjang: 11:00am (lunch awal) 7pm (dinner), atau pi nasi kandar yg buka hingga lewat malam macam nasi kandar beratur original dan ali haniffa air itam. Kalau waktu breakfast (buka lepas solat subuh) saya recommend pi nasi kandar ceri, sulaiman, deen jelutong atau ali ameir. Selalu saya nak makan pagi saya pi dlm 6:30am-7:00am. Waktu ni tak ramai orang dan lauk baru masak.
