  • In this episode we are heading to Tajuddin Hussain restaurant (THR) in Queen street, Georgetown.
Tajuddin Hussain also went by the name Hussain restaurant back in the day. They moved to their current spot across the road from the previous location in 2001.
THR's forte is the Ros curry dishes (chicken and mutton). I had my first taste of THR's nasi kandar back in 2015 (after watching Mark Weins' video of THR nasi kandar) and instantly loved the food there.
THR is also known for it's Rassam, a soup concoction which are made available on the tables. You could drink it on its own or add on to your nasi kandar.

Haven't tried the biryani yet although I've been going here for their nasi kandar a lot of times. Never thought of biryani whenever I come here. Maybe will try the biryani on my next visit. Also I was told by a friend the gulai itik here is good. Never tried itik at any nasi kandar before.
