I have several turntables, including 3 Regas (P3, RP8, and P8) but I wanted to contrast the belt drive and the Direct Drive. In the comments I have read here, several individuals asked why spend $2,500+ on a turntable that can be purchased in a vintage version for up to 1/3 the price.
Well, technology has marched forward and the DP-3000ne represents two major leaps forward: one in the dedicated power supply and second, in the noise ratio and pulse control of the turntable itself--it's dead quiet and with a less than 0.006% wow and flutter, it is accurate as well. The VTA adjustment makes the new 3000ne infinitely adjustable with almost every cartridge, MM or MC on the market today.
That's why you spend $$$ on a turntable-Denon's happens to be a value at that price point ($2500+).
The bottom line is, before criticizing Denon's new flagship--give it a listen- a quiet, neutral sounding table with this level of refinement and adjustment could easily sell for $4,000.00.....With a Hana MC cartridge, this Denon sounds better than my Rega P8-and that's not an easy feat.

Agree w/you 100%, have had it with AT MC cartridge for 1 month now or so and it looks & sounds great 👍

I love Denon. I have their DP-400 and it's a great table for the price. I'm really curious about this table.

Does this have the opto-electronical motor stop/arm up function as older Denon decks have, for example the DP-1200 ?

The direct drive motor is the same as on Hanpin's super OEM , Reloop RP7000MK2 for instance.

The problem I have with the Denon deck is the lack of platter access. Sometimes I need to spin a platter by hand to check for record centering. I can do that on my 1210GR very easily, but it looks like manually spinning the Denon platter with an LP on it would be essentially impossible.
I regard that as a serious design flaw.

Let's hope they produce the modern equivalent of the superb DP-80 and DP-100 transcription-level turntables.

it´s very nice but i still have a similar to this allthough better looking stoped since 97 i had bought it in 93, so i avoid buying new turntables ,i have a denon from late 70´s and it works perfect today , the 90´s one didn´t work for much years and it was expensive ,i when looking to it at a hi-fi store i notice the decrease on built quality but bought it anyway

Denon is a mark up product just like Bose Products.
Oh don’t get me wrong Denon makes great receivers but you need a doctorate degree to program it.

Someone please tell me again why I need an expensive ($2500 US) turntable that does no more than the vintage tables that are available now for 1/3 the cost? I'll wait right here..... And please don't come at me with "warranty or reliability" claims. The table I have now has been working hard for over 40 years without a hitch.
