    Thanks for sharing your excellent video. This is the most impressive (affordable) table that I`ve seen in a long time. While I don`t really need another TT, I`m thinking I really NEED one of these !

    Awesome setup video - thank you! I started watching to find out what the subweight was for (it isn't mentioned in the quick start guide) and kept watching because the whole thing was great.

    The Denon dl110 is a high output moving coil cartridge.

    Excellent info, thank you. I purchased this turntable; it is beautiful looking and sounds wonderful with a Hana ML.

    That is a beefy looking TT. Solid looking base and shock absorbing pod legs. I like the adjustability of the tonearm too. Looks easy to adjust tracking weight and level. I know there's those who pooh on removable (SAE type?) cartridge heads though I always liked the ease of changing out cartridges finding the audio fine after adjusting for a different cartridge. Denon, like Technics, was a leader in direct drive so I I don't think there should be a big issue over belt vs. direct drive audio quality (we know the best DD table typically have the utmost in speed accuracy with minuscule wow and flutter) as even very high-end turntable makers today have DD models. I guess the only thing I noticed that made me scratch my head was the pivot post of the tonearm. It was unique to me although I'm not familiar with modern Denon TTs. I saw what looked like a rubber O-ring where the S arm joins the post/pivot. While you worked with tone arm I actually saw the arm flex at that ring. Most arms are quite rigid where they join the gimbal. I wonder how this is a good thing? That said, I'm still a big fan of the later AR The Turntable model as I always thought it was the culmination of the awesome AR suspended sub-chassis design still used in the astronomic priced Linn LP-12. Apparently the industry moved to non-suspended either low mass (Rega) or high mass (VPI) as superior to sub-suspended platters/arms. Perhaps that O-ring flex is a silent nod to the high mass base with just a bit of something slightly akin to the decoupling that the old sub-chassis design added?

      Hello AudioFileZ and thank you for your inquiry. Scotty G here and I think what you saw must of been a distortion of some sort in our recording? We actually have the Denon DP3000NE on display in our store so I went and checked the tonearm myself and there was no wiggle, flex are twisting of the tonearm tube with the gimbaled base.

    PLEASE I NEED HELP. is the denon dp 3000ne better, or the micro seiki bl 71 from 1984? Which one do I buy? Thank you very much. Greetings

    • @ListenUp
      @ListenUp  6 місяців тому

      I think in this case, you’re comparing two different animals! Although Mico Seiki is now longer in business, they definitely were one of the better solutions back in the 70’s (along with Denon) and some models are very much sought after today, given the popularity of vintage HiFi! Like the Denon DN3000 the BI 71 has an S shaped tonearm but is belt driven instead of direct drive.
      As to which one actually “sounds” better, I’m putting my money on the Denon! Denon released their first turntable in 1910 and has always been a player in the turntable game! The DN3000NE is the pinnacle of over 120 years of Denon turntable design and manufacturing and may very well be a turntable someone else is asking questions about 40 years from now!!

    The Denon DL-110 is a HOMC type only. It’s not available in a low output variant.
