I don't know what happened but i brought the dagger to max bots, & that little thing was tearing through berserkers. Right in the eyes, and they were dropping like nothing. I was surprised.
Yo that's amazing! I normally have so much trouble shooting Berserkers in the eyes because of how they wobble, I'll have to try out the Dagger on them. Cheers bro!
Grenade Pistol and Stuns are such a good combo, honestly I'd have gone with them for this but I feel like they're a shoe in for so many builds so I purposely switched it up just for variety. Cheers bro!
Laser builds are IMO the most fun to run. Here's mine: Primary: Scythe Secondary: Grenade Pistol (bug holes) Special: Laser Cannon Grenade: Stun Precision Strike Orbital Laser Guard Dog Rover This isn't technically a FULL laser build, but those aren't all that viable due to armoured units. I find it SO rare for the CD period to still be ongoing between Scythe & Cannon switching, so as the dagger is the weakest laser weapon, you can lose that for the grenade pistol-this allows you to equip stun grenades, setting you up for perfect precision strikes on chargers. Running the Orbital Laser thematically makes up for ditching the Dagger, and functions as a panic button when the horde is too overwhelming 😄
Haha I love the Orbital Laser, looks so badass! And yeah I think ditching the Dagger for Grenade Pistol and subbing in Stuns is a good call for sure, honestly I'd probably have that combo in soooo many builds but I do like to try and switch things up for variety. Cheers bro!
@@MalleusGaming57 Yeah, the grenade pistol + OPS + stun grenade combo is definitely a "meta" combination, so my suggested build is only if peeps want the best of both worlds. To be honest though, I'm now personally at a point where I just create fun, thematic builds, even if they're not the most optimal setups in the world. Meta is a yawnfest. Here's a fun example I call "The Engineer": - Sickle - Senator (for pen) - Explosive Grenade - Patriot Exosuit - Guard Dog (OG; not the rover) - HMG Emplacement - Quasar Cannon I've got plenty of others like the scientist, the stormtrooper (as in shock), the pyromaniac, the "sentrist" (teehee), the gunsmith, etc. etc. Some are more effective/optimal than others, but thematic builds are just so much fun 😊 Now AH needs to hurry up & give us long overdue LOADOUTS so I can actually *save* these things lol.
Hail Helldivers! I tried this build with a slight adjustment. Laser cannon Laser rifle Laser guard dog Bushwacker sawed off shotgun. The heaviest armor possible, armor 200. Stun grenades. 500kg bomb, orbital precision strike. Played on diff 7. Zero deaths, 350 kills. Tips include, stun grenade for chargers, fry their behind. Use Laser rifle primarily. Laser cannon is saved for Brood commander, Bile spewers, Hive guard and Stalkers. Fire where you think the bugs might be. Don't walk over to check...check with a rifle beam. Support your team as the front fighter. Slowly walk forward and engage targets with weapons, as above. Throw stun at a bug breach, then apply Laser cannon. Swipe through small targets before they drop to apply fire. Damagecover time will kill them.
Yesss this is such good advice! How you liking the Bushwacker? I haven't used it a whole lot yet but from what I tried of it I really liked it. I do like the inclusion of the Stun grenades, I found myself wishing I had them at times, but what do you do for bug nests? Just use the orbital/500 kilo? And yeah definitely agree with the front line fighter aspect, I found there were times when my team mates would take shelter behind me as I advanced and you feel like such a badass! Cheers brother!
@@MalleusGaming57 Bushwacker is a one tap on most chaff . The 3 barrel fire option does 1200 damage up close and solves problema up close. Bug nests could be an issue, but you can either use 500kg or ask a teammate to destroy it. This build works best with another diver in support. Tell them you will kill everything and then proceed to do it.
Hell yeah bro! Orbital Laser looks so sick, my issue, and this is definitely a me issue, is that since you only have 3 uses or it I horde it like a consumable in an RPG and I end up just not using it all haha
Lasers did get fixed. So they have a overall higher damage output now. Havent personally tried it since i prefer kinetic weapons, but ive seen video comparissons and a few buddies of mine love lasers and there is a notable difference now.
I always had names for this kinds of builds for myself, between the Lancer (Which its becoming obviously common since seeing this video which is awesome!), The Lobotomist, The Limb Surgeon, or The Sun's Edge (being recent due to the "Fix" to make beam weapons apply fire damage now).
Man if Lancer is becoming a common name due to this I’d be sooo happy! Haha Sun’s Edge is pretty epic too, at first I was thinking of calling it the Sun Killer, based off of a Warhammer 30k squad type
Unrelated, but there should be a stratagem that gives you special rounds. Being able to drop your team explosive or armor penetrating rounds would make the guns a lot more fun and useful.
my go to setup since like may is las cannon as a primary, xbow, eruptor or blitzer as "support weapons", shield backpack or ballistic shield, eat and precision strike as stratagems, light armor to evade if possible, impact grenades, dagger sidearm. dagger works like a charm with ballistic, aim for heads vs. shielded devestators or beserkers. laser cannon as primary, just learn when to ease off the trigger, kill basically everything on sight minus bile titans and chargers. you can down gunships in 2 seconds flat, kill hulks with shots to the visor or the crippling the legs. you can kill gun turrets and tanks if you shoot the back 1/3rd of the turret or ofc the vents. kill off shielded terminids, brood commanders, stalkers and hunters w/o a problem. spewers die within 1.5 secs of continous beam to the head. fun weapon, fun gameplay, very good for supporting but also good if you want to be a mobile front line fighter. i can highly recommend this! eruptor or xbow to blow up bug holes or fabricators, blitzer if you want to emphasize "limiteless ammo", works great vs bugs and bots alike. i use it if i run out of coolant in the las cannon
Oh dang I never thought of using Dagger with the Ballistic Shield, that would work out so well yeah! Cheers bro that looks like an epic load out I'll have to try it out sometime! Cheers bud!
@@MalleusGaming57 I've tried to run different weapons and strats just to find out what's fun but I come back to laser cannon and dagger every so often. It's definitely a training though to get the "how long can you hold down the trigger until it overheats" into your muscle memory. Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to play any front so far. Btw, I tried two nice builds in the last days: Plasma punisher (the one that shoots like a grenade launcher primary) Dagger, impacts, rail gun, supply backpack, precision orbital, gas strike. This build is pretty decent IMHO, I played at least 20 games with this and I loved being able to clear masses of bots with the punisher but also being able to one shot hulks into their visor. Needs training to not blow yourself up with the unsafe mode of the rail gun but I'm already gotten so good with it, I die once every 5 games lol The dagger is to conserve ammo or to kill off the 2-3 random troopers which hang around often enough. Dagger can also "stealth kill" if the other troopers don't see their mates head getting popped by the laser beam, nobody will be alerted. Just aim for the squishy head. Deviation to this build is taking stun grenades instead of the impacts, but then the grenade pistol is needed for getting the clutch kills or killing fabricators. Second build I'm running right now and I absolutely love it: Tenderizer, grenade pistol, stuns, anti materiel rifle, supply backpack, precision orbital, 110mm rocket pods. For some reason I was sleeping on the AMR, even taking out the grenade launcher support gun which is surprisingly good and I forgot that fact. But the AMR is just soooo good! Learning here is to remember that the "height over bore" between the AMR scope and it's barrel is about 5cm at 50m, which means you kinda have to aim up a bit and not with dead center cross hairs if you want to hit what you're aiming at, kinda like battlefield bad company 2 battlefield 3+4 sniping. Can kill hulks in 2 shots to the visor, one shitting devastators, GUNSHIPS in 2 shots, able to kill mortar emplacements, tanks, gun turrets, ECT. Absolutely fantastic. You don't need to conserve ammo, as you have a supply backpack and you can shoot to your hearts content. The tenderizer is pretty awesome too. Super precise, you can one shot troopers to about 150ish meters with a headshot. Just aim for the green dot of your laser designator of the gun instead of the cross hair because here too you have height over bore like in real life where the barrel is logically lower than the optic which is mounted on. Instead of zeroing the rifle to 100m to make the rifle hit its cross hairs at 100 and probably 250-300m (like IRL a gun would work) it's always zeroed like the AMR to have height over bore lol Still pretty decent and I was often able to kill devastators with the tenderizer with precise semi auto headshots. Decent vs every enemy type with light to medium armor minus walkers and beserkers. for these you have the grenade pistol or the AMR. Try both out, very fun builds. Also the rail gun can kill gunships but it takes a while and good shots on the same engine
I swapped the Scythe for the Blitzer, even tho its an arc and no laser its still a no ammo weapon. Also its got stagger. And I need my stagger in Bug missions :D For secondary I go grenade pistol and stun grenades my love
Yeah Sickle definitely slaps, I was thinking of using it for this but couldn't resist the idea of all laser beams haha I'm glad that it still worked though!
an interesting vid i do think the Quasar is a bit better vs bugs for this loadout since it helps deal with chargers and biles the lazer cannon is fun but does struggle vs both chargers and titans
Yeah I think there’s pros and cons for both, the Laser Cannon is better against hordes while the Quasar for heavies, a good balance of anti-Infantry and anti-Tank is necessary so they would probably work really well together
Agreed, I do ok, killing the big boys with railcannon strike and stun/ precision orbital strike, I always check what the other divers are using, and if they have good anti big bug weapons, I go all out laser, with grenade pistol..but if not, Quasar

I would like a laser emplacement. Like an HMG emplacement, but its just a huge laser
Single reactor ignition
That'd be amazing, like a gatling laser or just a super heavy laser cannon
Scythe, incendiary , dagger , laser cannon , guard dog , orbital laser , auto cannon for heavies. Light armor. Been having a lot of fun

Sick! Always like a themed build thats also effective
Right?! Themes are fun, I was gonna do a Fire Build but they just nerfed the Flamethrower so maybe another time

That'd be so cool! Dropping in a shipment of High AP rounds would be amazing, maybe have it customizable depending on your drop
I recommend the arc blitzer for difficulties 9 and above. The stagger is very useful against the fast and tough enemies like the alpha commander
Ooo yeah! Tried out the Blitzer the other night, felt really good to use! Great against hordes and had some great stagger!
