The difference is remarkable. Also your rock & classical music repertoire and Chad's beard, made him look like going from Zz Top one second to Leonardo Da Vinci the next. Cheers from Tampico, Tamaulipas, México!
Three thumbs up had Chad and Paul sported their 1980s heavy metal band 'big hair' wigs while rolling down the highway in vantastic sound. Nice upgrade fellas.
Love your new sound system, it sounds amazing. Something I will definitely look to do in when I get my van Thanks for sharing all the mods you guys have done with your rig. Everything looks great.
How good does the sound work in the cabin? Is it a much higher install cost to put/add a couple speakers in the main cabin? Too bad Storyteller doesn’t offer the upgrade. I’m afraid it looks like a lot of panels and fittings have to be removed.
If you’re not handy it’s best to have someone install it for you. Our biggest complaint with the audio is when we’re driving long distance so front cab sound was more important to us. The furrion Bluetooth the storyteller comes with ain’t too bad for the main cabin- we mostly use it at the beach or campfire.
Liked the scientific before & after contrast on on your video. The question is,......does ALL the Mercedes Benz notifications and iPhone call work well too through new stereo system? TIA
For sure! We had the suspension upgrade on our last rig and have done some follow ups already- it’s a great great system and we use it all the time and feel a big difference. Tighten it up for windy highways and loosen it for washboard. Evens things out too so you’re not sagging in the rear.
"Can you feel that in your ass?" Literally sitting on top of the sub LMFAO Nice having decent sounding tunes in the van right!? That's like the first mod I do to any vehicle I own outright. Thanks for the upload.
found you guys searching on some stuff for my new 2022 Tiffin Wayfarer 25JW on the MB Sprinter 3500 UXD. Seems decent but seems completely missing the midrange at least on the youtube audio.
Personally I love a good sound! Just have some concerns about it being too loud for the real puppies' sensitive hearing? When my dog sat in the back, I always have only front speakers on and not too loud.
Where in the dash are the tweeters installed? I’ve heard of some installations in the cup holders, which doesn’t seem like a good idea unless you like underwater sound.
The bad sound is due to a wiring error on the MB assembly line. A 10 minute repair. Here is the TSB: . Refer to LI82.85-N-071147 version six (post 103)
I have a 170 extended. And this sound system does not have the capability of adding other speakers to go to the back with that price, I would think it should have plenty of capability of adding other speakers then just being limited to four
Hi there, in a 170 extended, the speakers at the back of the van are ~20ft behind you. For driver/passenger, this is not an effective location. If you have a van with many rows of seating, you will of course want more speakers, and this is not the system for you. Thanks!
Haha is that a good wow or a bad wow! Most of our sprinter friends sound systems cost 5k+. We like how Roamrig found a good balance between a kickass system and something that’s accessible to most people

Ha! Thanks Jorge! Chad’s beard is indeed multifaceted! Lol
Outstanding ! Music makes me feel so much better
💯
We have bought some items from Owl Vans in Novato. Love those guys.
They’re a great team with quality products.
@@ChadandPaul What is the price of the sound system? I couldn’t find the price.
Hat’s off to RoamRig, I heard it and sounds great. Have put it on a wish list for the Revel.

How could we forget the wigs?!? hahaha
Vantastic sound! Rock out!
Heck yeahh!!!
You guys are nailing all the good mods!!! Practice makes perfect!
🙌
Now that will get you some attention in Mexico!
Oh yeah!
It’s all about the base!
Haha 🙌🙌🙌
Now you can ROCK Happy New Year's
HECK YEAH!!
sweet upgrade. Rock out guys.
🤙🤙🤙
I get my van next week! Is there rca out puts on the back of the 10" screen?
Yeah! Handel’s Water Music!
YES!! Winner winner!
@@ChadandPaul l have a doctorate in “oboe performance” - not a degree with a great deal of utility!

Love the new sound system, it sounds amazing. Definitely a great upgrade to your already amazing van. Love your videos.
Yeah it’s made such a difference on road trips!
what we got here? just picked up a 2022 144. bought it for work but having second thoughts as my personal ride!
I think Chad liked the upgrade :)
Haha I’d say so!
did you add any sound damping material to reduce road noise? Also, why not add a DSP?
What did they do with the stock dash center speaker? Remove it, replace it? Thanks for the video!

yup! think of it just like your stock system operates now... only much much much better
@@ChadandPaul Thanks Gents. Safe travels.
I love the string of upgrade videos. Can you do a followup review of the suspension upgrade- like how it feels and changes the drive.

LOVE!!
Is the system power by the Volta system or van battery? Can you listen to the stereo with the engine off?
Nope- van battery and yes you can listen to the stereo with the engine off. It does everything the stock stereo can do… but better.
Personally I love a good sound! Just have some concerns about it being too loud for the real puppies' sensitive hearing? When my dog sat in the back, I always have only front speakers on and not too loud.
Yeah we definitely are mindful of that and don’t play it too loud when there are doggos in the front.
Does the passenger seat still swivel? Did it change/alter/remove any functions of the actual stereo?
Yup! Nothing changes in appearance or functionality, but everything changes in sound 🔊
Where in the dash are the tweeters installed? I’ve heard of some installations in the cup holders, which doesn’t seem like a good idea unless you like underwater sound.
They’re where the stock tweeters were. The design is super seamless and you wouldn’t know anything changed until you turn the stereo on
Gotta check that out
We're gonna be rocking out man.
Really a big difference in sound for sure! What are the cost if I may ask? Sorry if already asked!?!?
No worries! Check the link to owl vans in the description
@@ChadandPaul Thank you! Please ke the videos coming! We love the information you two provide! Happy New Year!!!
Sounds great the next question people would think of is what’s the price $$$????????
Check the link in the description.
@@ChadandPaul the link is dead
what was the cost for this upgrade?
Party on Wayne. Party on Garth 😂
Ha!
Did you add a pedal controller to you new build?
Yup!!
Whoa! 🤘🏻⚡️🎸
🤙🤙🤙
WOW!
The difference is pretty dang spectacular!
Can passenger seat still rotate?
Easy on those little puppy ears...
🤯
Yeah we definitely are mindful of that and don’t play it too loud when there are doggos in the front.
Do you know if they sell this system in Australia?
What's the main rock track? Sounds like Wolfmother.
A group called Conditional

I have a 170 extended. And this sound system does not have the capability of adding other speakers to go to the back with that price, I would think it should have plenty of capability of adding other speakers then just being limited to four

Where do you add if you have a heater under the passenger seat? I like good sounding music but I like to not freeze my butt off more. lol lol
Move the heater elsewhere. The space under the passenger seat is valuable and nice real estate for a stereo!
Suck there's no canyon or owl in NY 😪 I know you can order but not really a DIY guy rather pay someone to do it 😎
RoamRig is based in CT and we can do the install here once there’s a bit more inventory available.
@@roamrig Sweet thanks, do you do owl or canyon installs on other products they offer or just the stereo?
@@pher71 Just stereos at the moment. It is a product that we designed.
$3000 bucks. Wow also !

I think I'll just wait a year or two until you tire of this STO and buy it off you used.
Hahaha!
You’re officially at the top of the list! Lol
@@ChadandPaul Yea!
For 3k??? Sure for that money I can make way better sound
How? What would you do differently that would sound better than this RoamRig system for less money? I need an upgrade, but 3,000 is a bit much for me.
