Spectacular! And somehow those steep mountains are at their most amazing when you can still see a lot of rock under the snow (rather than being completely snowed over) - it really helps you feel the contours and textures - love it!
We totally agree with you, Catherine -- early winter is for sure the best time in this area in terms of beauty for exactly the reason you say. Once it's all snow it won't be as gorgeous -- but it will probably make for some good skiing! ❤️
Another beautiful mountain summit! Looks like a perfect day, minus the wind, and you had it all to yourself. I'm like Else, I overheat too. In winter my husband has the coat on and I'm in a short sleeve shirt. The birds you both saw are Grey Jays. They are the friendliest birds with a beautiful chip and song. They will land in your hand and you don't need a snack for them. Thanks for taking me along.
Thank you so much for the Grey Jay info! They were utterly adorable little birds, and next time we are for sure going to hold our hands out to play with them. Yes it really was a lovely day, and very uncrowded -- so happy to bring you along on it! ❤️
Totally agree with you, Jeff! The winter adds a level of beauty that is unforgettable. We're hoping to improve our skiing this year so we can start ski mountaineering, which will hopefully add a whole other level to the winter adventures we'll be able to share with you! ❤
What an incredible hike and an awesome way to finish out your Colorado peaks! 🎉 The view from summit was absolutely amazing. Definitely added this one to my list!
So happy to hear that! We really recommend going after a bit of snow too if you can, because it just made all the surrounding mountains so beautiful -- plus there were no crowds at all. ❤️
Hey there. Jack and Derek from Poland here. We met at the saddle of Quandary Peak. Congrats on the successful ascent. It was very nice meeting you both in person.
Hey thanks guys! We remember meeting you very well -- it was so nice taking that little rest break and talking to you both. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your hike, and the rest of your trip! ❤️
What a great hike and for almost everyone, what a great clear day, 100 mile vis. Thanks for sharing, Larry Owens Bishop, oh, climbed Mt. Humphries yesterday, the weather can't be any better !
Larry that is awesome!! We were briefly in Mammoth during the bomb cyclone and got like 3 feet of snow, and next we're headed for tropical climates for a while. Then after that, back to the Sierra for some snowshoeing and skiing!! ❤️
Love to hear that! Are you guys gonna do it this winter? Quandary is a great one to do at any time of year, but winter is probably the best time because it's so gorgeous and not crowded at all! ❤️
@LiveHardxLoveHard We're not sure when you'll get there, but it will probably be in the Fall some year! Quandary looks like a great one! It so beautiful and wonderfully uncrowded in the winter, for sure! 😍

Elise...from polar expedition to biikini is 60 seconds flat...and back. Joking aside though, all these Colorado hikes bring back the memories of a summer music camp there, near the Long's Peak trail. The views of the weekly hikes were spectacular!
Wow what a place for a music camp, Thomas! Adam used to go to the Aspen music festival every summer, but we didn't know they even had something like that near Long's. Colorado is so freaking cool, and awesome that you were rocking your musical skills in such a gorgeous place! ❤️
That was some truly beautiful scenery you captured on video of Elise and the Colorado Mountains weren’t bad either! ☺️ I must say the vistas in all directions is mind boggling. Would be real hard to leave that place. Thanks so much for sharing guys, another winner! ❤- LB
Thanks LB! I really couldn't believe how pretty the views were from the top. I think snow with some rock veins showing through is my absolute favorite look for mountainous terrain -- I honestly could have stayed up there and looked at it all day if I wasn't so darn cold!! ❤️ --JB
For sure Dave -- I always think it's so crazy that someone would carry a jacket, say on a run or something, that they know they'll only wear for the first 5 minutes and then have to carry the rest of the way, but people who hate feeling cold really hate it! --A
Hello Elise.. Wow this is incredible as the summit view are out of this World.. But what's the most amazing is your smile and the way you look so happy... Keep it forever Elise... Have a great evening and weekend.. Finally here we got 15 cm of snow and I am happy... ❄️🌨️🤗🥂

So glad to hear that! Wow 80 sounds lovely. Well we did decide to warm up, but we're going all the way tropical. Can't wait to show you the tropical adventures in a couple of weeks! ❤️
Oh My Goodness! What spectacular views! Elise dressing in layers is exactly what Phyllis does when we go out hiking. I swear, she strips layers off more than a pole dancer at the local gentleman's club! 😂 Great video.
Hahaha thanks Dallas! When we were editing the video we actually noticed steam coming off of Elise during the outfit change -- that would be a very cool pole dancing effect 😂

ELISE and ADAM a hello from France. I never tire of watching your videos of one of your adventures in Colorado, a couple of birds to welcome you, and the images are even prettier with snow, this time accompanied by a superb song by ELISE different from the usual, a real pleasure. At one point you settled your differences, a bit like « Gunfight at the O.K. CORRAL », but the weapons were replaced by your great complicity and your good humor. ELISE, have you really had your massage ? Kisses to you both. DAN ELISE et ADAM un bonjour de France. Blandine that is so wonderful to hear that you are starting to film your adventures! We haven't thought about teaching editing and sound techniques, but that's a great idea -- we certainly have enough experience at this point! Perhaps next year we will make a video on the subject and see if enough people are interested in us doing that. In any case, so happy to know that you are! ❤️
That's one crazy 360 guys ! Neither of you two are "soft" Both lean mean fighting machines ! 💪 And you Adam with 0.1 body fat %, might be at a slight disadvantage to Elise's 0.2 % in the biting wind stakes ! 😁 Might have to carry a small packet of birdie "snacks" in future ! 🐦 Thanks for the vlog Adam & Elise. Have a Awesome day you two ❄ ❄ ❄ 🎄☃️🐿🐿 ❤
Haha thanks John, and you're right about the birdie snacks. Now that we know they would eat it right out of our hands, we're def gonna bring something for them next time!! ❤️
Another great adventure from " Dream Team" i was going to say, couple! If i was so sidekick, you guys would be yelling at me cause I haven't seen all yet! Dean( Soul)
OK, neither of you could be considered remotely "soft". But maybe sensitive to different conditions - Adam to altitude, Elise to temperature. (Actually I don't recall a clip where E was too hot/cold without A agreeing.) And gosh, I'm freezing just watching this trip, ipes! I send warm vibes & breezes!
Thanks Liam! And we know you love when we do the warm winter adventures, so we've got a real treat coming up for you this month. After another week in Moab, we're gonna go full-on tropical for Christmas!! ❤️
Do you guys think this is doable 14er in the Summer or late Spring after like a White Mountain and hiking trail to Whitney or is it still too high level?
Yes Monty! It's all about weather luck on these 14ers. For us, we got lucky and went right between two storms so we had beautiful snow cover but also a lovely day, and it wasn't totally buried in snow like it was 3 days after we went. You will hit the weather window right at some point, and it will be glorious! ❤️
Hi, guys! It’s been a long time! Missed you two! I’d love to know how your plans are working out! Lovely song, Elise! Believe it or not, I’m still planning on a collab… Would love to hear from you. Happy Holidays to you and much love! 👍❤️👏🏔️🌲🎶🎹

Thanks very much, Ken. We're actually planning to post a video in the next month or so giving lots of details about our travel and early retirement plans. We think the planning is pretty solid, but it's hard to know for sure and would be great to get feedback from you guys who have more experience in these things! ❤️

Nice Content..I just remind you all that end of time is near prepared with do charity because you have obligation to God for you goodness in eternal life..
Not sure if others have commented, but those appeared to be Gray Jays (AKA Canada Jays, AKA Camp Robbers). They are a scavenger species known to be very acclimated to humans. In New England on the high peaks, they will come and feed directly from your hands. You can see it on many of my videos, it is SO COOL. Lots of people say it is a violation of LNT and to be honest they are right. But it is so magical of an experience that it is hard to say no!
Oh my gosh you guys are getting us so stoked on the Gray Jays! Yes I guess it would be a violation of LNT, but I think it's one we'd probably make as well -- we just love animals so much, and as long as we're not causing them some kind of harm really enjoy interactions like that. ❤️
Thanks!

Perhaps next year we will make a video on the subject and see if enough people are interested in us doing that. In any case, so happy to know that you are! ❤️
That's one crazy 360 guys !
Neither of you two are "soft"
Both lean mean fighting machines ! 💪
And you Adam with 0.1 body fat %, might be at a slight disadvantage to Elise's 0.2 % in the biting wind stakes ! 😁
Might have to carry a small packet of birdie "snacks" in future ! 🐦
Thanks for the vlog Adam & Elise.
Have a Awesome day you two

🎄☃️🐿🐿 ❤
Haha thanks John, and you're right about the birdie snacks. Now that we know they would eat it right out of our hands, we're def gonna bring something for them next time!! ❤️
Another great adventure from " Dream Team" i was going to say, couple! If i was so sidekick, you guys would be yelling at me cause I haven't seen all yet! Dean( Soul)
Haha thanks Dean! We wouldn't yell, just gently encourage to get it in gear 😂❤️
Elise, (takes off layers" "I hate being uncomfortable." Also Elise, "must climb every 14er."
Bring on the Decalibron!!!
Oh heck yes! That's gonna be a must-do!! 💪❤️
20 feet higher than White Mountain CA!
Boom!
And definitely colder! ❤️
When birds saw Adam's head in the treetops, they knew it must be a snackspot.
Haha yes! They recognized Adam for sure, and he recognized them -- he knew right away that they were thinking it was snack time!! 😂

@@LiveHardxLoveHard I'm now dreaming of a sunny, green, panoramic Xmas! \o/
Do you guys think this is doable 14er in the Summer or late Spring after like a White Mountain and hiking trail to Whitney or is it still too high level?
Yes Patrick! As far as we know it is climbable all year round, though at some points you will probably want snowshoes, crampons and/or microspikes! ❤️
I went out last January to hike Quandry and a storm blew in and I never got the opportunity to.
Some day……
Believe it or not, I’m still planning on a collab…
Would love to hear from you. Happy Holidays to you and much love!
👍❤️👏🏔️🌲🎶🎹
Happy holidays to you too, Michael! Hope you've been well. Everything is going amazingly well so far, and in fact we're going to post a 6-month update in a couple weeks and just fill you guys in on all the details. Meanwhile, I'm ready to get collab-ing when you are!! ❤️ --E
Not softer on temp extremes - just weighing in...
OMG Scott speaking of temperature extremes we just got a weather whiplash traveling south to the tropics! Starting in a couple weeks we're gonna be showing you guys some 85 degree waterfall hikes where the humidity has us sweating even when walking downhill! ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard - nice to have a change of scenery! Looking forward to some sub-tropical adventures. A chilly 52 degrees here in Vegas today (that's basically freezing for us!). Hike on!
I love your videos. Your personalities are naturally likeable. Your hikes and photography stunning. But..... I keep having this sense that you are not planning for the future very well.....
Thanks very much, Ken. We're actually planning to post a video in the next month or so giving lots of details about our travel and early retirement plans. We think the planning is pretty solid, but it's hard to know for sure and would be great to get feedback from you guys who have more experience in these things! ❤️
Why live Hard 😮
We're just they type of people who like to go hard at pretty much everything we do! ❤️
Someone no names mentioned needs to learn from David Goggins and learn how to be uncomfortable
OMG Rick, Adam already loves Goggins way too much -- don't encourage him!! 🙈❤️ --E
Dress appropriately.
That's what I'm saying, Ray -- it's all about layers! --E
No plunge in the lake? You guys are getting soft.
Haha we are! And wait til you see where we just arrived -- we're gonna do some super soft tropical living through Christmas while the snowstorms rage up in North America. But the waterfall hikes should be amazing!! ❤️
Nice Content..I just remind you all that end of time is near prepared with do charity because you have obligation to God for you goodness in eternal life..
Thank you! ❤️
