Ive been using my s1s for a long time now , no issue , I recently changed out to a new ethernet switch , at first all was good, but 2 of my wifi mesh routers went out and I had to reset them and re hook them up. Now all of a sudden my s1s are NOT showing up in my surfaces and they are plugged into the switch .......nightmare , Im a half a second from putting in a support code 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
As long as the S1s are connected to the same switch as the computer running EuControl they should show up... maybe something on the router is blocking EUCON traffic, or perhaps Bonjour traffic. Another way to test each S1 is to connect them directly to the computer with an Ethernet cable. The S1 should definitely show up with a direct connection. Are both S1s set to DHCP? If you've never manually changed the IP address on them then it would be DHCP by default.
Good video. My question is do I need an Avid controller to use the app via WIFI? I other words can I control Pro Tool via Avid Control on my iPad without having an Avid controller .
@@antslivesound Thank you for this! Is there anything special I need to do to connect it? Every time I try to enable the EuCon in Protools under peripherals I get and error.
@@chrissmothershmm. there shouldnt be anything else other than installing EuControl and enabling it in Peripherals. Have you tried just restarting the computer?
Downloaded the app on three different new devices and the EU controller doesn't see any of them. A new Galaxy Tab, new Samsung smartphone and older Galaxy 10 smartphone. None of them show up and they're all on the same internet Network within three feet. Any ideas?
Hmm, ok... So you're saying the devices are not showing up in EuControl? Are you using a Mac or PC? Is the computer running EuControl wirelessly connected to your router the same as the devices, or is it wired with a physical cable? Make sure that the wireless devices are getting an IP Address that is on the same network as the computer running EuControl. Sometimes routers will give out IP addresses that are on a slightly different network than the wired devices.
@@antslivesound Thanks for your response, im using PC Windiws 10 latest update. Nothing shows up on either side of the EU Control. My pro tools is selected to EU Control. Thanks!
Ok, good. Are the devices getting an IP address that is on the same network as the counter? Sometimes routers will give out a different IP range to the wireless network. If the computer and wireless devices are on different networks that can be an issue. Also try disabling any firewall on the computer (to test)
I was racking my brain on getting the meters to follow nudge. Placing the Avid Control on top of the S1 in Eucontrol was the answer. Thanks a million
Glad one of my vids was able to help!

@@antslivesound had to unplug everything and replug then restart.........💥
You got it to work??
@@antslivesound got it
Very helpful. Thanks. Note that enabling eucon is no longer in set up - peripherals but now on the arrange window.
where is the "arrange window"

I was wondering the same thing! anyone have any success???
Absolutely, you can use Avid Control to just control Pro Tools. You do not need a control surface! 👍

@@antslivesoundI have and reinstalled both protools and EuCon both versions are compatible too. Not much luck

Alrighty. First things first... Is the computer running EuControl directly wired to your router/switch with a network cable?
@@antslivesound Yes, that computer is direct ethernet connected, the devices are all on wireless network from the same router.

Thank-you Ant!
You're very welcome. This video is a bit old but the concept remains the same
EU icon not showing in Windows anymore after update
Thank you so much!
