- We caught up with David Bryan of Bon Jovi during the rehearsals of their latest international tour "Because We Can" to talk about his live on-the-road gear and upcoming projects following the success of his critically-acclaimed, award-winning musical "Memphis."
David is far beyond "great". He received piano training for 13 years, beginning at the age of 7 from a Professor at Juilliard School for the Performing Arts. Anyone who is a musician only has to hear the name "Juilliard" to know that is the best of the best when it comes to musical training. He was trying to get accepted into Juilliard when he was already enrolled at Rutgers University, holding a 4.0 GPA in Pre-med. He had finally received word that he was accepted into Juilliard when Jon called him to join the band, no guarantees of anything and we know what his choice was. Looking back at that, would we still have "Bon Jovi"? They are all multimillionaires from their work in the band, and David's training along with his musical abilities has given him the honor of writing at least 2 Broadway Musicals, earning 2 Tony awards for "Memphis". Hearing him sing "Memphis lives in me" allows me to visualize what Memphis is like. David also wrote the song "In These Arms" for Bon Jovi and he has gotten to take lead on it a number of times while on tour but I think he has his hands full with 4 keyboards and 2 laptops. David is the greatest piano and keyboardist player. Yes David did go to Julliard musical arts school . Very hard school to get into by the way. David study music there. That is why David is all time the grestest piano and keyboard player. Yes he was there to study music. David is sooo smart and talented. David really knows all about his keyboards,music,etc,etc. David did alot of training and hard work and hours of practice to get where he is now. He is very successful guy . David puts alot of stride,energy,power into his work. I know how you have to practice,practice,practice order to achieve a goal. You have to put all your aims and efforts to make something happen. I know i put alot of efforts and time practice into my singing and danceing. It feels good when you achieve that goal. You have to start at the bottom of the ladder before you then keep climbing those steps on the ladder before you reach to the top of the ladder. You don't get to the top of the ladder unless you work hard for it. I do my singing and danceing 💃 I practice for a good 2 to 3 hours. I do it during the week and on weekends. That is why David is soooo terrifically talened and achieve his goal with all the practice snd hard work it pays off." Yes David the magnificent" I admire all his work. David is truly puts all his love ,passion to into his music. to. When you do any type of music weather you sing or play an instrurment you need to put in all your heart, feelings,soul, order to make a great song. It all has to come from the inside of you. When you are writing a song that is when the mind comes in but you need but you still need to put ypur hesrt,soul,feelings ,creativity all in thar to. There is alot of steps when. It comes to making music or writing music to. Then you can always go to school and learning music to. There are dufferant ways to learn music.you just have to choose. Great interview on David. What are you even talking about? Do you even know how much David has brought to Bon Jovi and just how much the majority of Bon Jovi songs would sound so much worse without his keyboards? How about you go get lost and learn some facts before you go and post such a dumb comment
@@wangxian32 Most of the songs you can't even hear the keyboards.
@@drewdickerson1177 Maybe you can't hear them, but if you took them out, you would notice the change. And also some sounds in their songs are made with keyboards even though you wouldn't guess it, like the sound of wind in "Wanted dead or alive"
