I think that’s what really hits home about this ending. The moment you see the two of them sitting together, you realize that he did what he’d set out to do from the very beginning. He’d saved her and that was all that mattered to him.

I remember when my mom bought me this game as a kid. I was bummed because I thought it would be a bit lame. By the end of the game I was crying and as a 32 year-old now this is still my favorite game of all time.

@@draculathevampire934 Yeah. I wasn't a Final Fantasy kind of guy and the Disney integration didn't excite me at all. The commercial didn't do anything for me either. I gave it a try and it's my favorite game and the only other game that comes close is God of War 2018.

For all of the issues that I have with KH3, this is probably my favorite ending out of all of the games. The joy of seeing everyone together, finally happy, and the pain of realizing that Sora can't be a part of it... it's beautiful. None of the other endings in any of the other games managed to make me so happy and so sad at the same time (the closest was KH2, and even that ending didn't make me quite as emotional as this one did). And "Don't Think Twice" playing in the background makes it just perfect.
Honestly kh1 was sad enough to make me cry, but kh2 at least had a pretty clear happy ending

This game legit made me cry at Least 3 times. So much has happened with these characters in throughout the years. Im mainly glad that Roxas and Xion get to finally be real. Them finally reuniting was something I've waited years for😭

Sora and Kairi were like the first relationship I saw in movies and games as a kid and the 8 year old me hurts that they didn't get the happy ending

He was happy tho. It was Kairi that got giga hurt probably. Sora and Kairi are technically "dating" at this point, maybe even "married" cause they did share that Paopu fruit.
And it’s completely in charachter too. Sora’s never hesitated for self sacrifice if it means everyone else gets saved. I have a feeling that habits going to be addressed in the next game.
@@Cloud-dt6xb the new trailer came out recently for KH4 no date but sora was clearly the focus along with well no other way to put it Japan literally no idea how that happened also sora seems like he is reflecting on why hes there in the opening as if he legit thought he was supposed to die or something so im feeling a redemption arc coming up for sora and kairi
Has hearth wrenching as it is, a "price" ALWAYS need to be paid one way or another.
I'm glad they at least kept that lesson in the overall story.

That's true, we play the games and have fun but we kinda forget that even Sora as a kid didn't really enjoy his full childhood, yes he was 14 in the first game but still, and same for pretty much everyone else, they were all so busy with helping the different worlds..... They deserve this, except Sora which I still don't know why he dissapear in this, DON'T TELL ME WHY ONLY HIM, I don't want spoilers please
And this is why I have such a huge problem with this game. All the shit Xehanort did and what repercussions did he face? Not a fucking thing. Couldn't be more disappointed.

If you include Re:Mind technically it's just Sora. They all got eaten by the darkness and died. Sora pulled a time travel BS and saved them all with the cost of his existence.
I was a mess at the end of this game, for lots of reasons. And not just crying like "a few tears and sniffling" but full on sobbing for an hour or two. I cried tears of pure joy at the Wayfinder's trio reunion. I literally fell over on my couch crying when Lea/Axel said, "i...guess should've brought some ice cream." and he just ran to Roxas and Xion and hugged them so hard while crying. In RE:Mind, whenever Sora and Kairi did the "one heart!" attack I was just a smiling/tearful idiot. And of course, at the end of the game where you see that Sora didnt make it back....that's when I cried the hardest.
A lot of people have beef with KH3, which I can understand up and to a point. But you cannot deny that their games are beautiful, heart wrenching and just so, so good. I hope we find Sora soon.

I dont know if i felt disappointed at this ending, or, maybe because its all over. We finally played it and loved every second of it. But now what? I spent years anticipating this game, and after finally completing it at 21 years old, i just dont know what to do now

I finally got to finish growing up, growing up as a kid with my parents always fighting and this being the only game that got me through those rough times, now being 30 and married having my own kids I feel like I was finally able to finish growing up. When I beat KH2 I had nothing to distract me from all that things going on around me at home, it felt like the longest wait but damn was it worth it. I don't say this a lot but this story was a part of my life. Cheers

Coming back to this knowing I shouldn't have thought twice before Sora got announced in Smash Bros
Kingdom hearts was one of my first games where I even remotely followed the franchise. Waiting for the third game was emotionally draining.
My girlfriend at the time KH3 came out went and got me the game while I was stuck at work and watched me play basically all of it while she played another game in the same room.
Flash forward to earlier this year and this song was our first dance at our wedding. Couldn’t have it any other way.

I never thought a video game could make me cry but this game series really did it for me. Such a great story with emotion. The developers made you close to most of the characters and then this game really hit you hard with emotions. One of the best games I’ve ever played and this song even made it more emotional. May your heart be your guiding key😊

Utada is undefeated with the music for Kingdom Hearts and I love this song but man, every-time I listen to it, my vital organs ache.
I LITERALLY cry everytime I hear this. KH3 FINALLY brought everything together, all the stories, all the characters, EVERYTHING!... I CRIED so many times during this game because of this!

Seeing everyone together on the island is what I was waiting for. This game may not have lived up to the something like 14 year hype but this ending made it all worth it to me.

@@Profar26 The Power of Waking also wasn't meant to be used to decide another's fate, but Sora used it for himself to bring back Kairi after Xehanort killed her. Mickey and the other Keyblade Masters warned him but he didn't listen. So as young Xehanort said "There's no saving you" . But I'm guessing that the Master of Masters and the Black Box will play a pivotal role in returning Sora to their world.

Everyone got their happy ending because of sora, but Kairi/Sora never got their happy ending, Sora only got to say goodbye to Kairi.

You know what? I don't care what people say. This game will forever be beautiful to me. I love these characters so much and it felt SO good to see them all happy.
Honestly if they lost Sora. That would be such a great ending. Like he made sacrifices all the time in order to save them. And he finally makes the final sacrifice, that saved not only the world but kairi. But I’m okay with this next arc. Sora literally has sacrificed himself for others since KH1, so like them trying to find him and let’s see what they sacrifice in order to get him back.
His Journey began with searching Kairi and ended up saving her at all cost at the end. Such a great ending.

I find it amazing that, despite this being my first ever kingdom hearts game, and the majority of anything I know about the series came from youtube videos that I thought didn’t talk about important things until I realized these games skip over a lot of important things, I teared up so bad during the reunion scenes in the keyblade graveyard (I’m not much of a cryer for video games, tearing up is my equivalent). This game was SO fun to play, and it messed with my emotions so bad

Man, where the credits begin, i started to crying. What a saga, what a adventure ! Remembering all of the memories of all games + Sora who dissapear + that music is what made cry a full grown man.
The formula of KH games is obvious. It's like the endless cycle of Zelda or Mario games but here it's sadder lol. At this rate they'll make KH games forever.

s was the perfect emding to Sora's story he used a power he hadn't mastered and didnt understand despite his friends and enemies warning him not to, but he did anyway to save those he loved and those who didnt exist till he believed they did and the price was himeself....it was actually a perfect ending

Both the opening and final ending songs of KH3 are so beautiful and heartwarming seeing everyone together having fun on the beach was just wonderful but also bittersweet when Sora disappeared leaving Kairi alone again 👍❤️🗝️😢
