    My husband did this last year to our house. We labeled them in order for storage. We put them up again yesterday in less than an hour because we already knew where to put each strand. Worked perfectly!

    Make sure you check how many strands can connect determined by the manufacturer. Too many and you may not have a light display this year 👀

    What brand or website do we buy this stuff from?

  • @tylergraham2319
    @tylergraham2319 8 місяців тому

    Question: what brand do you use? I was looking at novelty lights based on a comment from another video and the specs mentioned something like 136 7w lights per plug. Is there another option? That would work with 2 plugs for the eaves of the house but if I want to do ridges I’ll still have to figure out a crazy extension solution.

    • @metalhead8878

      Depending on if you’re using incandescent or LED bulbs. Incandescent you can only run up to 4-5 strands, then you’ll need to run another power supply or you’ll start blowing fuses. LED you can run up to 15-18 strands on one power supply. There’s a little math side to it with the fuses in the factory males and the bulbs

    • @rdaught
      @rdaught 8 місяців тому

      Yeah, sort of. The lights are rated for outdoor use and will have an IP rating like IP4 or something. Higher the number the better for handling water. That being said you don’t want water to get into your female plugs so either position them away from water (ie downward) or cover them with electrical tape.

      @@benkilgore8251no you can’t, there’s a limit to how many additional strands you can connect until you need a different power source or you will blow the fuses on every strand. With LED like this if you have high quality lights you may be able to connect up to 20 strands off one source
