Yes the amount of traffic they handle I guess requires them to speak very quickly and if English isn't your 1st language it can sometimes be hard to understand/follow as you can hear during the approach.
@@danielmosey6203exactly that. LHR controllers aren’t rude or condescending under the same pressures when faced with foreign pilots or those who aren’t able to understand. Ultimately the American controllers are creating a culture where pilots are afraid to confirm and ensure eveything is correct which is a major safety risk. It’s like having a co-pilot that won’t question the captain due to them having more authority, we all know how many deaths that has caused in the past.
Many pilots think they are better than everyone else , they have a very cocky attitude, I don’t see that in these pilots, they were so kind and respectful. Bravo Ethiad
I actually am an ATPL student with 8 out of 13 exams completed. I have to admit that seeing exactly how points you've studied are applied is a great satisfaction (example, oceanic clearance to enter the NAT OTS). P.s: The CB was exactly where my parents come from in Italy and then to see the A330 from ITA airways it was special too!
I see good and clear faces in the cockpit and it makes me think the crew is worth it!!! 25:44 that "the gear down please" says it all!!! P.S. as an italian, I'd like to thank the director of the documentary!!!
Thank you dear Just Planes team for another great movie from your cockpit series. The Airbus A350-1000 is a great aircraft. I really hope there will be more movies of this plane.
Wow, absolutely amazing video, even the crew are very professional. But until now Im still puzzled by the flightpath of this AUH-JFK flights. Why did the airplane go up almost above Faroe Island near Iceland before turning left and go down to New York. Checking with Google Earth, turning left just above Scotland is a shorter route. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks
It is actually very rare to take the shorter route on a flight like that... its based on flight time/fuel burn which has to do with the winds... so if you encounter less strong winds by going North on the Westbound flight you do take a longer route but in the end the flight will be 30-60mins less for example. On the return flight you'd be looking for the stronger winds to push you for a quicker return.
Still remember the cockpit series of the 380 to CDG. Wonder which aircraft Sophie and Shaima are flying, considering the 380 is still not in service yet
Etihad just resumed operating the A380 again.🎉 Initially they are flying to London Heathrow once a day and I understood it will increase to 3 times per day. Maybe Sophie and Shaima are/will be back on the A380!🙏🏼
I think that the fact that we have been doing this very successfully for 33 years now, have filmed over 330 airlines along with our production values is the key to airlines inviting us into their cockpits. We def appreciate each and every airline we've filmed a lot.
The weekly update took a week off :) There wasn't much change anyway but it should be back tomorrow although with Fathers Day maybe the update might take another day off :)
My advise for who are scare of flying. First flying always chose the best and tope rated airlines of the year as for safety and service. This is what I did and trust me then u will be in love of flying all time.
Thanks for sharing this video. I am flight attendant working for CUBANA AIRLINES; I was flying in several companies like NOVAIR, Euro Atlantic; TACA ; AIR EUROPA among others , but after Donald Trump government he put our country as a terrorism sponsor and put 243 sanctions that cannot permitted make any payments of insurance to the banks so now is impossible for us flight in this kind of planes; so thank you for sharing this videos again

Says a lot about the controllers at JFK when the pilots discuss them as being a threat because of unclear communication!

Amount of traffic is no excuse. LHR sees a lot of traffic and doesn't have this issue. They need to sort themselves out.

How much rest they get between flights. My understanding was that its different crew while making round trip.
