Who's here after the comeback
Guess who’s back!
Here
2 steps ahead
gotta refresh the lore
Bro our bald Nostradamus strikes again
Bro I'm 6'8 and was 400 pounds after I seen Nicado I was disgusted with myself. I'm now at 315 pounds and going to the gym 5 days a week
Man is literally Robert Strong
6'8" is insane, you're a giant
What’s your goal weight, chad?
Congrats man! Keep going!
Congratulations! Damn! That’s fucking wonderful!
I once lived with a girl who was struggling with anorexia, she was obsessed with watching us eat regular food. It's something to do with getting pleasure from watching people eat foods that they want to eat while simultaneously starving themselves. It's extremely unhealthy
Istfg mukbang is a goddamn obesity propaganda.
So it is kind of a porn.
there something ingrained in people, specially females that they enjoy watching people eat. Idk if it's a motherly thing. It reminds me of my grandmother who was always making food cause she didn't know much other than to tend the house and take care of people.
@@SyLuX636 maybe
That’s basically like watching UA-cam videos of people travelling, doing exciting things, etc., because you get a false sense of having done those things, which reduces motivation to actually do them.
The most tragic thing about it is in fact his violin. Often downplayed by those that don't really know his story, but he is an absolute genius with that violin. He wasn't just messing about in New York with an empty instrument case at the subway station. He played at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, etc. If you watch some of his violin songs it's mind-blowing that this is the same dude.
That's such a sad story all around..
@@CarrieLaffs makes me wonder how many people are wasting away in a life that makes them miserable, while they have real talent inside that they either don't care to nurture or are straight up unaware that it's there.

True. I wondered if he's already thinking this, perhaps he just plays up the narcissistic tendencies & drama queen persona for viewership.
But my gut tells me his gut just wants attention, notoriety & money, so I hope he does do something like what you say before it's too late.
Who knows what damage he's already done to himself. These eating escapades already could have taken a few years off him.

Mukbangs are our modern equivalent of freak shows.
Some mukbangs are just normal people have a normal-portion-sized meal. But yeah, eating 5000 calories in a sitting is awful.
@@lightworker2956 For real? Wow. You have taught me something today brother.
But just to be clear. You're saying. That regular normal people. Do regular normal eating content. With normal regular portion sizes. Basically eating like humans and not an absute animal? 😂
The whole "why do vegans have to make everything about being vegan" is not exclusive to vegans, it's a very first world mentality where you have to identify yourself and everything you do with 1 aspect of your personality whether its being vegan, being gay, being white, being from Ireland, being the sporty guy etc etc. People have decided being a fully rounded human isn't the way forward its just making everything about yourself 1 thing and 1 thing only.
Edit: For people who want to get hung up on the specifics for some reason rather than the overal point, replace gay for any sexuality, white for any race, ireland for any nationality etc the point remains the same they were just random examples
😆
It's basically high school clique kids who never matured past high school. Good thing we don't even have cliques in schools here lol.
Or your political alignment...or even worse...make your entire life about the politician you hate.
Indeed and all share a common trait. The loud ones are heard and therefore perceived as the average. There are far more gay, religious, vegan, ... people that are totally normal human beings going though their daily lifes unnoticed.
Lol CrossFit people
Hmm, partly. Religion has always warped peoples entire identities for the whole of human history. In some cases veganism is like a religion, not that it’s belief in a supernatural being, but in that it’s a set of morals and values pertaining to how you live. In that regard, someone making it their identity isn’t that odd. What is odd is how all these people become vegan just as a fad or because it’s hip and now and then make it the identity. If it’s not a fundamental way you view the world (say as a Christian, your belief in god and supposedly loving thy neighbor as yourself, or as a vegan: to reduce harm caused to all sentient life as much as possible) then making it your identity is indeed very modern and dystopian.
I'm always 2 steps ahead...
this guy is basicaly suiciding over time and a crowd is cheering him on. him being aware of that situation is just disturbing and put this thing up to another level. this needs to get examined by specialists, psychologists, sociologists because i think this happens in less extreme ways all the time on social media. people ruin their lifes all the time for some attention.
The main problem is that it is directly tied to his succes, otherwise he would have changed his life around already (presumably) or not even ended up going down this road to begin with.
Do you live 10-30 years with wealth, success and fame but having health, relationship, family and mental issues or do you live 30-60 years of poverty, failure and being a nobody but with friends, family, good mental and physical health? He obviously chose the former.

I think Asmon nailed it with the Shakespearean Drama Analogy. This is, in my point of view, one key mechanism in understanding Nikokado's path. Plus, he is quite the character in his play.
This is an idea I’ve had in my head for a while now, I like to call it “the existential theatre.”
Tragedy is often seen as the highest form of art and some will subconsciously self sabotage as a means of embodying such.
Tragedy is ironically seen by many as romantic.

I like, how asmond perfectly named the true purpose of mukbanks on his own. It truly begun as way for people to not eat alone in Asia.
I like, the use of that comma.
We have a severe health problem in the US and people are too stubborn and ashamed to properly discuss it. We should be concerned about this crisis, and talk more candidly about it. One of the issues is that we encourage people to never try to be better and that the way they are is perfect. This is a blatant fallacy that only seeks to make people feel better, not to make them healthy physically or mentally. It's the psychological equivalent of the fast food those same people are consuming en masse and does more harm than good.
Surely he could monetise his redemption arc.... people would love the struggle as he tries to lose the weight.

You’d think he wouldn’t have lived to see himself hit a million subscribers. With how much junk food he’s been eating, it’s a miracle he’s still going today. Though, Nicaea Avacodo may not make it to 70. His body probably did not take it well, going from a vegan diet, to the complete opposite with giant piles of junk food. For his sake, I hope he quits his channel, and eats healthier. Or at least changes his content to promoting healing living and eating. Channels that do that can be successful.
This trainwreck and Asmon's fascination with it reminds me of the lyrics for the Tool song "Vicarious". It's about morbid curiosity, about watching someone else get hurt vicariously and not being able to turn your gaze away from it
Yeah at this point it's a question of if he is dramatic enough to die for his youtube
It really is almost like a folk tale but it hasn’t finished yet
This story is so tragic. First time I ever saw him he was on Tosh.0 a long time ago, and he came off really witty and smart during the interview. Tosh called him out on what happened to him eventually happening to him and Nik played it off for laughs and pretty much said yeah but what are you gonna do. Then I see him a few years later and it's gotten every bit as bad as he was warned about, and it's getting harder and harder to see the cleared talented and smart person who got there, in exchange for the kind toxic validation he used to claim he hated.
My parents constantly reminded me that I needed to lose weight.
To the point where the last words my father said to me were, " Listen to your mother and lose weight." I was heartbroken 💔 😢.
After my father passed away, my mother let up a little bit.
However, I was stressed about it all the time.
Stress causes the body to produce more of the hormone cortisol: cortisol is a stress hormone that promotes body fat and makes it harder to lose weight, especially around the middle.
I tried losing weight, but it was useless because I didn't overeat.
I only ate one meal in the middle of the day, so really, I was eating less than 1000 calories a day. My mother knew this and encouraged me to eat 3 meals a day, but why eat when you have no appetite.
In June of 2021, my mother suddenly was one and a half years after my father.
I went into a deep depression and mourning because I am originally from the Netherlands, and this is where my mother lived.
Because of covid, the last time I saw and hugged my mom was Dec 27 2019. A week before my father died.
I had had the vaccine against covid and was planning a trip home when she died.
Out of the blue, I now started to lose weight rapidly.
I am still losing weight going down from 220lbs to now 164lbs. I think that the constant reprimands about my weight were so stressful to me that they actually stopped me from losing weight.
@You've got mail
I was afraid of letting them down,
my parents always set high expectations, and when you would finally reach them, they would up the bar.
So, as a child, even though you've grown up and have children of your own.
They start to use your parenting skills and still keep pressuring you.
My father was a narcissist, and everything had to be exactly the way he wanted.
He also used my mother to make his will known.
I married my husband 37 years ago. He was in the Air Force.
My parents tried to actively stop our relationship, and my marriage.
When we moved to the United States the first time in 1986, our furniture shipment was held up because in the same container, other people had put drugs in with their household goods.
So we rented a small 2 bedroom apartment because I knew that my parents would come and visit.
We lived on borrowed furniture, and even though I strongly suggested in the spring when we still didn't have our furniture, and didn't know when we would get it because we had moved in November 1986, for my parents and sister to wait at least until we had our furniture they insisted on visiting.
They flew into LA, and my dad had rented a car. So, I flew to LA a few days ahead. All of my husband's family lived in the Beach cities by LAX, so it was decided my parents and sister would stay with my brother and sister in law in their home in Manhattan Beach.
And I stayed with my inlaws in Redondo Beach.
I told my parents when they arrived again that we didn't have any furniture yet. And suggested I could have my husband book a double motel room in Las Vegas where they would be more comfortable.
No, they wouldn't hear of it. Why stay in a motel when they could stay with us for free. I gave up.
They had a good time in LA because you go to all the usual places.
Then they were going to stay with me in Las Vegas for 2 weeks.
And unless you like gambling, there is really not much to do in Las Vegas.
And sure enough, after their first night, I was told how I didn't prepare for their stay that they didn't have hangers for their clothes, that I should have told them we only had lawn chairs to sit in etc.
This is how my parents were, of course, my sister who went to university and got a doctorate degree in the Dutch language. Well, she could do no wrong.
Even as children, I was constantly told to be more like my sister. If my sister did something wrong, she would say I did it bec ause at a young age, she had already caught on that I would be blamed anyway.
Even if you try to go, no contact, I would get an email or a phone call to call my mother because she was worried about me. It was all about control, blame, and being called to sensitive, to emotional.
It's setting you up to fail whatever high standard you didn't meet again.
It causes so much stress and apprehension that, in the end, my visits to the Netherlands and I went every year.
We even stayed with the Air Force in Europe for as long as possible because I had their only grandchildren, and they did love them very much. Even though I was a bad parent. Because I let my boys play with fake guns. Cops and robbers and such.
Even though I was wrong to worry so much about my son with HFA that I made sure he would get all the help he needed.
There is nothing wrong with him. My father would say, "Stop doing this and just let the boy grow up."
HFA runs in my husband's maternal side. My brother in law has it and can barely function he lived with his mother, who passed away in March. Now he is alone and needs help with everything, like buying a house, getting car insurance, and having his utilities hooked up.
We had to help him with all that because his parents never did anything to get him help.
My son is completely independent he is a Sgt in the Army and is stationed in the Cavalry at FT Hood.
He has a T.P.S. clearance and cross trained from being an Apache mechanic to the job he has now, and he loves it.
That's the difference between early intervention and just letting the boy grow up.
Once we moved back to the States, I called my parents every week. Off course they had to come and visit. And surprise, surprise, they found we had bought the wrong house. Of course, then they had the brilliant idea to have me send my boys now 12 and 14 fly to Amsterdam and rent a R.V. to take them on a tour through Europe.
Of course, it didn't turn out the way they expected, and I was once again at fault.
This didn't let up until after my father died.
I had a year and a half to build some kind of relationship with my mother.
My father died through Euthanasia wich is legal in the Netherlands. He ended up in a wheelchair in a nursing home because of his own stubbornness of not doing anything his physical therapist, his home health nurse, even his doctor told him.
He had a form of Parkinsons and had he gone and admitted this sooner because the sings were clear to everyone, his hands shook so bad that my parents stopped eating soup because my father shook so much, he didn't want to be tested. Completely denied that anything could be wrong with him.
And so when they found out that something was wrong, it was too late and the only thing he wanted was Euthanasia. Just because his pride was hurt because now some needed to help him go to the toilet. Other than the Parkinson symptoms , which were now being controlled with levodopa, he wanted to die. He broke my mother's heart they had been an item for 65 years, 5 years of dating and engagement, and 60 years of marriage.
She even asked him, but what about me? He never wanted her to have friends because that would take away her attention from him.
When people came to the door, he would tell her they were not to come in.
So after he died, she was alone with just my sister.
When my mom passed away in June 2021. I had a complete breakdown. I felt that even from the grave, my dad still had such a hold on my mom that now she felt useless and alone.
That's what happens when you're raised by a narcissistic parent who, no matter how hard you try, still will not let you just be the person you are and not some form of the person they force on you.
no one cares
The fact that you were eating so little could also have been a factor. If we don’t consume enough then our body tries to conserve calories. It’s a protection against starvation during a famine hut also why people often gain more after a diet than they lost during it.
😢
The way you said it makes sense to you is exactly the reason it was created. Was a thing in Korea to help others since living alone is common as you tend to move out right away asap, work at being the best at anything you do, working at it constantly, and only breaking to eat, get drunk, and sleep. So yeah. Socializing sometimes needs a supplement.
Also. I bet there's a big amount of people who do it for a kink. Like hella copium, kink, and ED motivation.

the issue with people on vegan diets isn't the weight, it's that they are constantly spiking their glucose with all the carbs. so while it's possible to lose weight as a vegan because you're not introducing fats while spiking your glucose so you don't store excess weight, you're also becoming nutrient deficient and losing muscle mass at the same time and if your body can't get certain nutrients it takes them from your own body and so vegans are notorious for having brittle bones and bad teeth unless they are constantly taking supplements which have their own risks for kidney function.
The traditional Asian diet is endless amounts of white rice plus some vegetables and only a tiny bit of animal products (because that's all they could afford).
If you're right that "spiking glucose with all the carbs" is a problem, then the traditional Asian diet would be disastrous. However, the traditional Asian diet is actually very healthy, much healthier than the western diet. You can look up The China Study if you don't believe this. There's a reason why we associate Asians with being slim, healthy, long-living and productive -- it's because eating a ton of carbs actually rocks. It's the fuel your body wants. The healthy way to eat is high-carb (preferably with lots of fruit) low-fat.
Also, Nikocado Advocado fell off the rails partly because his style of veganism was eating endless... avocado's, i.e. high-fat low-carb food. If you want to see what vegans look like who eat low-fat high-carb, look up youtubers Durianrider or "The frugivore diet."
you lost me at the glucose bs. vegan diets are bad for many reasons, carbs isn’t one of them.

So, about the "why do people watch other people eat" thing, I don't watch mukbang and I can't speak for everyone, but I do watch food reviewers like reviewoftheweek.
I can't really explain it but it's just, when I'm eating, even if I'm talking to friends on Discord or something, I **have** to be eating with someone else a lot of the time. It just feels awkward eating alone, not in like an "I'm lonely" kinda way, but in a "this just doesn't feel right, something is wrong" kind of way. So like, if I'm in a Discord call with friends and one of them is also eating, then it's fine I can eat, but if not, I just throw on a food review in the background. Like I said, I can't explain it, I'm no psychologist, but it's definitely not like an entertainment thing for me, it's just something I have to do or else it just feels bad

Seldomly talked about but there's a statistic on hospitalizations because some people you just get depressed, some people just poop some blood, but others all of a sudden even though you're on the healthiest diet you've ever been on, these people develop diabetes and go into diabetic shock like they've been living in Wonka's chocolate forest. Some have died. If you watch the gamechangers debunk, there are a few doctors who talk about what they've seen and point to real studies and statistics that show how damaging Veganism can be if you're not checking in with your doctor and making sure you're not having issues with nutrients.
the reason is protein and what your body does when it doesn't have enough. You can't eat enough beans or tofu to replace meat, regardless what they say, and when you hit that 3-4 year mark your body moves on from eating muscle and your reserves and starts reducing the function of your organs. That's when people have issues with diabetes because insulin production gets triggered. It's also because Vegans sometimes aren't on the best diets though. They mentioned that in the video that these people also start to live off cake and tofu thinking their healthy like a fat guy at McDonalds ordering a diet coke with his big mac.
That's it, Asmon. After a year of watching you on youtube I'm going to subscribe after this reaction video.
Yeah Shame on you
He went full mukbang, you never go full mukbang.
MeatCanyon did a fantastic animated parody of this guy that held a surprising amount of empathy. Highly recommend you check it out.

@@brandonkruse6412 I sense fatherless behavior come here kid I’ll be your father from now on and teach you the ways of the Giga Teachings so that one day you can be a Giga Chad and no longer have fatherless behavior

MeatCanyon projects his own insecurity about being morbidly obese onto others
He inspired me to loose weight and never hit the same weight as he is. From 106kg to 88kg and keeps on loosing.
I went from 158kg to 131kg since I've discovered this dude. Best coach ever. I'm 6ft7 though, aiming for 100kg. Still got a long way to go. All the best to you mate!
“Whenever he was in a bad mood, his first inclination was to grab the camera.”
This couldn’t possibly lead anywhere unfortunate.
Imagine if you were standing on the top of a building 750 feet in the air with a million people below you yelling “JUMP, you’ll be famous as you fall”.
I can imagine what sort of person would take the jump, but I can’t understand why anyone would show up to watch.
It's the same reason people are so fascinated by Chris chan. Morbid curiosity. There is a certain draw to watching someone destroy their lives so adamantly. it's like watching a car crash but extended to the timescale of years. It's disturbing, but you can't look away.
Mukbang doesn't necessarily make you fat.
The difference between then and now for Nic is that he used to cook his food whereas now he orders in, or makes very quick to make food (usually ramen).
Him cooking the food occupied time in the stream so he didn't spend the entire time eating, and he could fill up the stream time while eating less.
He could also do what other Mukbang channels do and only stream every second or third day while eating little to nothing in between.
That's how the Korean Mukbang stars manage to do it without getting fat.
better start that movie or black mirror episode then he outplayed everyone since he's two steps ahead
I believe the obesity epidemic is a ripple effect from the great depression. People went from having so little food and being told to always clean your plate to now where there's a surplus of food but the habit of cleaning the plate is still ingrained.
Yee the finish your plate thing doesn't really make sense anymore. If I eat the remains though I'm already full, I not only waste the food (cause it wasn't necessary to have that much on the plate) but additionally harm my health. Turns one bad into two bads, good job!
@@MrCrippsPink or you know... Don't take more than necessary and WASTING GOOD FOODS????
No, it's more linked to the amount of processed food and the huge amount of sugar people eat nowadays. Thing is sugar is one hell of a drug for your body, mouses proved it was even stronger than cocaine.
It's one of the reasons EU cut on the amount of sugar in food here. Doesn't stop people getting fat but it's far less impacting than in the US.
The problem is the boom of processed carbs and the rise of fast food juggernauts.
All this stuff has been engineered to be extremely palatable, which leads to people consuming more and craving more. Generally these foods are also far less filling, lack nutrients, and are calorie dense which all lead to overconsumption.
Once I started eating cleaner, I found myself losing any desire to eat at fast food places and if I do go I tend to not enjoy the food as much as I once did before. I still get treats like candy or ice cream every now and then, but I treat them as treats, not things to be gorged on like I did in my past.
Btw take a look at the sugar lobby in the US, maybe among the most powerful one despite being the less talked about.
Went through several stages of grief . At the end he reached the acceptance stage.
i was never overweight but i was a little pudgy but the first time i saw nick and other people like him made me sick and made me want to go the gym and for the last maybe 2ish years i’ve been going to the gym and losing weight so i never get to that point
That dude will spawn Slaanesh all by himself!
While i was never 155lbs at his age, the fact that i currently weigh 10lbs more than Nick has convinced me to go on a diet and workout more. Wish me luck boys.
Also, its ironic that health problems and the vegan community drove a vegan into a 350lbs lifestyle.
ye brotherrr u got thiss gna be a fucking crazy transition for u 🙏🙏
@@Kanggaxx im simply built different, meaning that im 6'2 and still played football and marched in band. I don't look nearly as far gone as Nick, but my frame is also much bigger than his. Like I'd have to hit 420 or 450 to have his gut.
That video aged differently
My gameing chair is for a person of 400lbs because I bought a normal chair and bent it when I sat in it. IM now at 228lbs ;)
"not rock and roll, just rolls" had me rolling
Never thought I’d watch someone descend into madness and become the embodiment of his algorithm to a fault. Usually I don’t give a shit but this was wild.
Wouldn't it be awesome if after making all that money on eating himself to death, he just lost all the weight after a year of consistent exercise and kept all the millions. That would be something. No sure if this guy is still alive but what a legend he would be if he did that.
I granted your wish no need to thanke
@@薹 Oh shit! Christmas came early! Who would have thought...
He WAS actually good looking… such a sad development. A life thrown away for online popularity. AND MONEY.
"not rock, just rolls"... man i had a good laugh with that one, thanks lol
This is like watching that morbid guy on the movie Seven slowly eat himself to death, but in the middle of the meal he looks at you and says Yeah, I'm into this shit!
I wonder if asmon knows about the nickado video where you can hear a woman being stabbed to death in the apartment next door. You can just hear her screaming over the sound of him stuffing his face.
What? What the fuck?
Excuse me?
Watching people cooking is better than watching people eating
After his weird "feud", if you can call it that, with Moistcritikal, I'm pretty much convinced its all an act. Before that I might have thought it was a mental issue, but Nick's responses to MC really felt click baity and fake.
I just watch food videos at night when I am hungry, however I prefer watch healthy food from different countries, from Japanese kitchen to the Italian one.
Well well well
It's a mirror to our society. And little children can watch it on UA-cam and have a lesson in life.
The movie asmon mentioned is going to be a southpark episode and cartman plays the leading part.
now he lost 250 pounds o_o
It's like watching a train wreck, but you're watching the whole thing in slow motion from it leaving the station to it arriving at the broken part of the track.
"i like eating animals, they are delicious" Thats my man!
Laughed so fking hard when Asmon said "he's going all in, they will put everything on the line, he will become more than one person can be", because well yeah he will become what 3 people are lmao
Hit different now 😀
"This is horrible-
UA-cam: "hmm maybe we should do something"
-and I love it!"
