- In this video, I repair a Mid-2012 13" MacBook Pro logic board (820-3115) that would only produce a white screen and vertical lines on the internal LCD display. The issue ended up being a bad inductor on one of the power rails going into the LCD panel, and replacing it completely fixed the issue.

Awesome job. No one fixes electronics anyone , good to see you do it here! Everyone just wants to sell you a new board and swap it out.
I know this is an old video, but I have to say Thank you, I am new to this micro soldering, so I spend a lot of time researching, this worked great!
Hi, may I ask where you get your schematics for the different Macbook pro models and even more interesting, which app do you use to find the correspondent component on the logic board? Thanks!
Did you ever fix the bad RAM slot? I've seen a couple of these machines with that problem.
Hello, how are you?
Lets get it right, did you just remove this component near the VGA connector and put a new one?
Because my Macbook Pro 2012 13 "has the same problem, to give white screen when turning on the equipment.
I have MacBook pro mid 2012 showing complete black screen but it does showing charging indicator and also white beep light. I tried everything nvram, smc, ram all but it still not working
Man, i had the exact same issue. It was the same inductor, I literally just touched it to measure voltage and it was already unsoldered.
Do you know with which type of inductor I can replace this one? I have several boards from different laptops, any inductor can work? or it has to be from the same type of macbook?
Can you please help me diagnose a macbook display issue? Im at the end of my tether with it - i don’t expect you to fix it for me but if you could let me send you a photo of the screen maybe you would be kind enough to tell me what may be wrong with it?
I have same problem but i don’t know in Portugal who can fix this for me I replaced screen still same as you it’s logic board prob :( can u help me ?
In my MacBook... It's the same problem.. Screen is lighting.. But no picture... But there is no problem in the board.. Because another display works fine... How do I repair the led panel board? Can you guide me?!
Hi, I have a 15'inch MacBook Pro from mid 2012 and it does have a similar problem, it turn on, but it shows a black screen, sometimes it shows the apple logo, but then it turns black again, I don't know what to do now, I know it's old and stuff, but it is still a good machine and it works fine for me, before that. Any help? Somebody?
the slots are not to hard to fix sounds like a solder joint broke . running nand iron over it might fix it
I have the opportunity to buy one for $100 ..I’m being told that the motherboard does not work and just beeps ...is it worth the buy ?
Same story, like mine. 2012 mid 13” MBP after cleaning, same issue, White screen, after the chime, no apple logo, but the backlit, caps lock is working. Never seen similiar.
Hi, have you found the solution? I have some issue when replace thermal paste.
@@a5huri No, I didn’t. :(
yes, is true, once one of your ram is death, your mac will never boot up, will make those beep's and shut down,, nice repaire i got MacBook 5.1 Late 2008 with similar problem, however, i didn't give him any punch is in very good shape, nothing is broken, but i got no display, nothing,, i tried to check but not enought stuff to do it,,
I have the same model with a cracked screen. It’s enraging how easily the crack grows over time. I want to repair it but i’ll skrew something up, and apple repairs can be upwards of 300$. Any advice?
I'd just get a new display assembly, they can be had for around $115.
i'll look into it. Thanks!
I'm the "emo" guy from the old skype group calls if you didn't know already
Hi DosDude - are You in USA? I mean for posting something for repair? :)
I am, and I'd be happy to repair a machine for you. PM me and we can discuss details.
dosdude1 where are you located. I’m not getting any picture. Replaced my lcd and ldvs cable and nothing is showing up
same thing occurred on my mbp mid 2012. any update on this issue?

Damn, I finally (probably) found my issue and it isn’t really possible for me to do.
Doesn’t show step by step removal mb
Man I wish you could inbox me your contact info. I have the same model and was told the logic board graphic card needed to be replaced. Wanted to know if you could look at it.
Of course, I'd be happy to. Just send me a PM or email to dosdude@netzero.net, and we can discuss details. If it's a 13" machine, like this one, it doesn't have a dedicated GPU, therefore the graphics card cannot be an issue, as it doesn't exist.
It's actually a 17" version. But I'm sure its def something simple to fix.

Oh... In that case, it probably IS a bad GPU. I've done this repair before with success (replacing the GPU), but it is quite a tedious and time-consuming repair, and doesn't always work. I can still do it for you, if you'd like.
what's the difference between athe 13 inch and the 17inch though?
What's the difference between the 13 inch and 17inch.
Can you do more Windows Based Computer repairs?
No, most Windows-based machines are cheap crap, and aren't worth repairing.
At least you can make reviews of Windows Based PCs. How about that? It's not cheap anyway.
