Howdy, thank you for your videos! I have an issue with an A1278. I have no Backlight. Fuse is good. I tested the voltages on the LED Driver and I have 12v on the Backlight Output Caps...so my boost circuit isn't working. All the other voltages check correctly, so I changed LP8550 and I still don't have Backlight and the voltages all measure the same. So my question is...could I have gotten a bad new Chip? Or should I look elsewhere for an issue? I haven't been able to find any videos to help past putting a new LP8550 chip in. Thanks!

Amazing to watch this! Question of someone who has no background on that field but really want's to learn repairing electronic equipment on that level as i am a huge fan of repairing, recycling...: What would you recommend someone how to learn this on his own? Is there a scripture, online course... you could recommend for the basics for eg. reading circuit plans, basic electronic knowledge? The rest the skills i guess is learning by doing? Thanks for putting this kind of videos online! You really inspire people who didn't want to participate anymore in the throw away and buy new culture!

Remember me from that live stream you did a while back? I was asking what was wrong with my MacBook Air a1466, 820-3437-B. I followed your instructions, instead of using alcohol, I probed around the area where the burning smell was coming from, holy crap! C7430 was very very hot! It burned my finger! Looking on board view, I found that it goes to PPBUS_S5_HS_COMPUTING_ISNS and the other side goes to ground. So I removed it and plugged it in, and boom! The fan immediately started spinning, thank you so much for your help! - I found out it was a tantalum capacitor. Do I need to replace the cap?

I've got an A1278 that keeps blowing the fuse after a few tries, any idea what the best route of investigation? Whilst fuse is working it does not exactly load the proper screen but keeps loading different shades of grey. When it blows it will load the screen correctly without backlight -c confirmed by shining a lamp is at the back. This started happening after I changed the speaker modules and charging port module. Many thanks in advance.

I want you to engage brain and think about the possible reasons a fuse would blow.

@@josmarazzopardi6439 Of course it did. The fuse did it's job. Think about what would cause a fuse to blow.

You could also have a bad cable from damaged pins
