Hi everyone, this is Mike's fiance taking over. At the moment, Mike is fighting for his life against cancer that he has in his brain. In November 2019, Mike had a seizure and things have been up and down for us since then, now is one of our lowest moments, but we keep our fighting spirit up. That Porter is a way cool aircraft. They didn't fare great with CDN bush operators because they were a bit thin skinned for hauling diamond drill equipment and 200 ltr barrels. But still very cool
We transport quite a lot of 200l barrels into the mountains, only certain strips though
Now, we´re talking. Great video, Michael. Let us enjoy the flying, the view... and your camera, too. With almost no music. Let us enjoy the real sound of the thing. Keep posting. Cheers!

I did not believe it, the guy freed his left at that speed, brave. I would have insured more before rolling ....
A couple reasons why it is like this. With the tailwheel my AoA is high from the begining, so the stall warner goes very easily. I am lifting off at 60kts normally, which is 10 kts above stall. Also the strip is short, and there is a hill on the departure point, so the earlier i can be flying the better:)

I like the pic on the youtube page. Looks like about 23 people got on or off and believe me, I've seen a gypo operator with a PC - 6 out of Ross River Yukon overload the piss out of that machine on wheel - skis and haul 2500lbs. 23 smallish people - same dif..
ha ha, we are pretty strict on the weights. But it is a very capable plane

Any particular reasons to land there?
It's a village. Thats how people get to the outside world there. The plane brings in supplies and and transports passengers. It would take days to get to a doctor by road in somewhere that remote.

Another video ruined with mind numbing "music". The only leverage I have is no like, no sub. So, that's what I will do. Eventually video content creators will have to decide what's more important. Views, likes and subs or trying to impress your high school AV teacher.
I think we all have to start somewhere and most of the time we don't get it right straight away. Getting constructive criticism helps us better our vids, so thanks;)
At least you are one of the few who realize that! That by itself earns a like and sub! And the reason is us gear heads love the sound of jets, cars, helicopters and all manner of power. Can't hear that with a sound track!
