Great informative video,we were at the Swift factory on March 17th for a factory tour and a look around the new models,I am contemplating down sizing from our 2017 Swift Champagne 694 to a van conversion. They are really well built but they also make a coach built the same width as the panel van conversions called the Esscari and because the habitation part is much squarer there is a lot more room.I recommend that you go and check these out ,there are three models in the range the shortest model has a rear lounge and a drop down bed above it,The other two has travel seats for 2 extra passengers and rear lounges and the longest one does have a small garage..
Nice van that. Funny story about Dolphin Motorhomes, I walked in the yard towards the end of the day and was looking around the VWs at the rear. When I walked back around the front, a chap was just finishing locking the gates! Nearly spent a bit longer there than I bargained for.
Graham that's terrible. Keep up the good work.😄 It actually gets worse. A week later I stopped at Sussex Caravans on the way home to look over a CV40 similar to what I had on order. One I looked at was open so I spent a bit of time looking around it. As I exited the van I was confronted by about 10 members of staff leaving for the night and the manger perplexed why I was in the van and how. I had a strange situation where they were saying there was only two people with keys and I wasn't one of them. I very nearly got locked in again. I don't go to these places anymore...
@@dad.man.runninglove having a van, it’s our first one and with 2 kids and a dog it’s working well. We’ve found a lot of snags that have had to be sorted and being 4-5 months into ownership not everything is sorted yet which is frustrating. Happy to share some info on that if it helps your pre pick up inspection and what to look out for in the early days
THIS IS A SWIFT CARRERA 184 2023 MODEL (NOT 2024 AS ADVERTISED IN VIDEO TITLE) Rear 184 bed is built for stick insects, if meant as a double! Narrow access in kitchen area, due to front dinning area (Compared to Carrera 122/132). A workable compromise solution for a young family, needing a 4 berth, 4 belted van, in a modern, trendy, stylish looking van, that can be used in all UK weathers. The Swift Carrera range appears popular, with ordering waiting lists by your nearest Swift distributor, now in the 12 month bracket. The upgraded 2024 version, gives a fly screen on rear barn doors, rear table and storage on rear barn doors, upgraded electronic habitation controls and now comes with dual habitation batteries, so if willing to wait, get a 2024 model. Current 2023 & 2024 negative, is Swift have stayed with current Gas locker/Gas bottle size. This size is no longer made by Calor (Gas Bottle Company) and are a diminishing and difficult product to get. Hope Swift finds a solution for 2025 Carrera range, as otherwise, they are producing a gas bottle design locker, for cooking/heating, no longer available.
Nice walk around review. I’m not keen on these lounge setups, because most of the storage then taken up with mattresses and bedding. Much prefer permanent made up bed and garage below setup like our grand California. It has compromises too, but less than the swift for me anyway.
Looked at the 184 at first loved it, but that rear bed is dreadful design and so much work to make up, plus gas bottle storage it to small and not easy to access. Rear drawers give a lot less usable space and means nowhere to store chairs, ramps bbq.

Can you do some videos on camper vans of this size with pop tops please.

400kg payload for a family van is seriously insufficient for its intended purpose.
I have the same coloured van in same layout but mine is an Elddis. Its a fantastic van and has taken me down to Italy from Newcastle.
Very thorough analysis
I think them sea gulls are swifts 😊
😂 what makes you say that 😂
We just ordered our 2025 CARRERA from the motor show?should get it March or April
What size TV do you recommend for the back and would you go 12v and mains plug option? 1st time Motorhome owners
The rear screen heater button is actually for the mirrors
Lovely van and a great layout

😂 that would’ve been a long night!
I wonder if Dolphin Motorhomes tried to lock you in on porpoise? 😂

😂😂
Great vids……but, do we need the background music?
Really like that van and good video too.
Another problem is the drought between the barn doors when your in bed needs a magnetic strip to put On cant find them anywhere
Great episode pal
Love the kitch though
Lol, I only learned that from another review video. Keep up the good work to you both.
I am surprised! I really like this van! I am VW for life but not today!
Nice van, very modern interior!
Just put the deposit down for this very van! This review helped massively to find the right van for us
Fantastic! Huge congratulations and enjoy your adventures 👍
We've done exactly the same this weekend, pick it up in 10 days - How have you found it?

Don’t forget the 2 windows by the sliding door are fixed not opening for obvious reasons
Great van thanks
Thanks for watching!
Might want to take more consideration on your paid partnerships...
😅great review but the birds/sea gulls are actually swifts. As in campervan built by Swift. Lol!!😂😂😂
I definitely think it should be called the Seagull Carrera 184 😂. 🤦♂️I’m such a fool

You have not convinced me !!
I don't understand why they can't add an extra cushion etc to make the seating area U shape. To me it would be so much more attractive.

33 minute video & didn’t show how either of these cool beds are put together
Not keen on the black stripes
Beds are way too short...
Too much greyness.
It’s actually a 2.2 not 2.3
