- MAFEX is back with another release! This time we take a look at the iconic Battle Damaged T-800 from the ending of Terminator 2 Judgement Day. Another home run by MAFEX!!

@@KaijuDaddyJapanYes. Both paid for yesterday, on the same order with AmiAmi. I'm glad the damaged Robocop is a separate model from the main figure at no extra cost. I think Mafex's live action figures are now better than their comic book figures . Especially after these releases. I cannot wait for The Batman next month. Will you be getting it?

SHF did you a favour. Their version is horrid. Even worse than their 89 Keaton Batman, which I thought was impossible.

i like how the head is shaped like what the makeup in the movie was trying to convey, over being exactly what the makeup was lol
The sculpt is great. The execution is the issue with these figures.

Why?
That gun is actually an M79 40mm grenade launcher, aka the "blooper". Near the end of the movie the T-800 fires it into the chest of the T-1000, which causes it to fall into the lava and be destroyed.

I’m way more impressed with the T-800 than the Robocop 2 figure. Possibly because the last Robocop was such a home run and I was expecting more

this looks really good man. Quite a tough choice between this and the upcoming mafex T2 non damaged arnold coming in november. Can't see myself spending the money for both.
I guess it really just depends on which version you feel best represents the character/movie. I think the upcoming one gives you a bit more bang for the buck.

Well that a tough question. I think it depends on your preference, what you want to collect, the look of the figure, and the bang for the buck.
Preference is preference.
Collecting figures from Terminator isn’t happening any time soon but we are absolutely getting more T2 figures so this would fit in well. But if you only need one figure from the movie, you could get T1 and the upcoming T2 figure which, to me, looks incredible.
They’re both great value but I think T1 was slightly cheaper.
Man, I dunno which I would choose if I had to. Probably T1 only because the next T2 releases in a few months.
I don’t buy all Mafex releases but I really wanted this one. So, I recommend not skipping it. 2nd best Mafex release this year.
Great video. I would have liked to see the articulation of the robotic knee in more detail. By the way, in the section where you analyze the articulation, the video appears grainy.
I have conflicting thoughts about this figure. I find it visually appealing, although I believe they might have gone a bit too far with the blood effects. However, I sense it's rather restricted when it comes to accessories and posability choices. I understand their intention to capture a precise movie moment, but it would have been beneficial to include at least one spare left hand. In comparison, the second version of the T800 from the same film seems to come with an abundance of accessories, even though it lacks a version showcasing the robotic components.
I'm not sure whether to buy this one or wait for the next version, hahahaha.

I understand your feelings. It would have definitely been nice to have gotten a detachable left arm/hand but oh well. The next one which I believe is due in November looks incredible.

I've already purchased it from HLJ, but I'm still pondering whether to stick with this one or wait for the upcoming version slated for November. I have a week to make up my mind and avoid any losing money from canceling the order. I've also gotten the new Robocop, so I'm eagerly awaiting your review. The additional torso it comes with has piqued my interest - I'm wondering whether it's interchangeable with the main body or if it's meant solely for display. Cheers!

you know, even though the neca's present a very good value and i love every single one of the ones i have, i suspect these will stand the test of time a better. i can't help but feel like the neca's joints are going to melt over time lol
But how many Mafex ones will still survive?
