    I have 3b/3c hair. I tried straightening my hair about 5 months ago, just doing an blow out then flat iron. I hated it! It reverted so quickly. I tried this method last night and the results are wonderful. My hair is poppin, and it's not reverting! This will be my go to method for straightening my hair. It took me almost 6 hours though, so I will only do this twice a year. Thx!

    I am curious as to why people are asking if she is natural or relaxed and how can she possibly not suffer from heat damage when using a flat iron at 450 degrees? Are we that ignorant? Her hair type is clearly stated as type 3a so yes her hair pattern is looser than those in the 4 category so what you are looking at is her curl pattern, not heat damage. And why are people making comments about how much easier it is for her because she has a looser curl pattern. Never in the video did she say it would be as easy for all hair types, she is simply showing HER process. You will not know whether or not it works for you until you try it but don't knock her for helping others in doing a hair on her hair type. Anyways…great video! And continue to create videos that help natural women!

    Thank you, Mo. You are a lifesaver. I've been transitioning going on two years now and it is so frustrating. My natural hair was very long before I relaxed. I relaxed my hair (still long)...then decided to go natural again. Trying to straighten my hair with blow drying and a flat iron is a nightmare as roller setting is so much easier (for me) on relaxed hair. I will try your method. God bless you.

    • @ALXSSA

      you dont have to blow dry the roots and hair to flat iron, you can just wrap it

      I'm not a stylist, but I too take additional steps to allow my products to saturate my hair without direct thermal heat, like a flat iron. The wrapping and using plastic wrap and sitting under the dryer was a Treatment. It's the details that give you great results. 3.5 hours of labor pays off in beautiful hair. She's a great example of it.

    I'm confused. Why are so many people asking her to address type 4 hair? If you want to see styling for a different texture then go to a video of someone with that texture. Obviously her tips will work best for someone with a texture similar to hers...

    • @temitopeakanbi9992
      @temitopeakanbi9992 11 років тому +48

      She's had a model with type 4 hair come in on various videos to discuss how to get the same results on type 4 hair which is probably why so many people keep requesting for her to do it again

    • @kathrynetaylor1198
      @kathrynetaylor1198 10 років тому +12

      Late....but let's remember most of her steps are salon services that aide in "training" healthy hair, no matter the type. Like wrapping and tightly using plastic wrap to seal in the oil she used. We can all benefit from these tips.
      But, Oxy88 has a point. I watch Naptural and I'm protein sensitive, and she uses a lot of protein in her natural hair. But, I like her techniques any. We watch who we like, I guess.

    Thank you for sharing this! You've given me a new way to do my relaxed hair. Before watching this video, I would just wrap my hair then flat iron. But it would only for hold one day. I modified it a tad by wrapping first then roller setting then doing the wrap with the plastic part. This style really does last 5 to 7 days. I wish I could skip the flat iron part! But on my type 4 hair, it sometimes turns out fizzy and too poofy with just the rollers. But even with having to go behind it with a flat iron, this style is still much healthier on my hair since I don't have to flat iron it everyday like I was before. Thanks!
