This video has changed my hair 6 weeks ago. My hair has never looked good in 8 years, i followed your routine and the compliments are countless, thank you Mo.
I still love watching Mo knows hair older videos and getting the many tips and information that I might have missed before. Here voice is very calming to me. She is one of the best UA-camrs that ever did hair videos and blowing up big now in the beauty and health industry today. 🤩🤩🤩
when I tell u I've been watching these videos so long and have seen so much progress in my hair. when I first started my hair was barely resting on my shoulders. now it actually sits a little past my collarbone. I'm so happy.
I dont know why anyone would put a thumbs down. This tutorial is excellent, wow this girl knows to do hair! The way she handles her hair is very much like a beautician. It is precise and done with care. Love love this 😁
I have 3b/3c hair. I tried straightening my hair about 5 months ago, just doing an blow out then flat iron. I hated it! It reverted so quickly. I tried this method last night and the results are wonderful. My hair is poppin, and it's not reverting! This will be my go to method for straightening my hair. It took me almost 6 hours though, so I will only do this twice a year. Thx!
I am curious as to why people are asking if she is natural or relaxed and how can she possibly not suffer from heat damage when using a flat iron at 450 degrees? Are we that ignorant? Her hair type is clearly stated as type 3a so yes her hair pattern is looser than those in the 4 category so what you are looking at is her curl pattern, not heat damage. And why are people making comments about how much easier it is for her because she has a looser curl pattern. Never in the video did she say it would be as easy for all hair types, she is simply showing HER process. You will not know whether or not it works for you until you try it but don't knock her for helping others in doing a hair on her hair type. Anyways…great video! And continue to create videos that help natural women!
Wow! You make doing your own hair seem both fun and a relaxing day at the spa.Such an informative and well-put together video. And your voice and music were soothing. It felt like guided hair meditation! Maybe I'll give my magnetic rollers another try, thanks to you.
This is the first video I've seen that makes sense, follows what we were taught in school, & was safe, efficient & came out flawless. Well done beautiful!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕
This is so pretty!!! Reminds me of exactly how my hair process and look when I was relaxed! Same length and all! Now I'm natural. 3 years now and only straightened it 3 times since . Ima check out your other vids though because I love this one!
I'm not corrdinated or patient enough to do my own hair. However, ever since my hair stylist started doing roller sets about 2-3 years ago, my hair has really grown (and gotten thicker). I endorse this 100%!
It is a lot of work, but worth it! Your hair is in great condition and the color is beautiful. The only people I know that do a perfect job with roller are usually Dominican ladies, and now you! This was a great and informative video to watch. Thank you!
Finally! A well detailed, well-explained video! I love how you just get into the video tutorial. Most videos are of people who rather hear themselves talk or look at their reflection. lol. Thank you! I loved it and learned so much!
Thank you, Mo. You are a lifesaver. I've been transitioning going on two years now and it is so frustrating. My natural hair was very long before I relaxed. I relaxed my hair (still long)...then decided to go natural again. Trying to straighten my hair with blow drying and a flat iron is a nightmare as roller setting is so much easier (for me) on relaxed hair. I will try your method. God bless you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I thought since I have decided to have natural hair, I would no longer be able to have straight hair. I can't wait to try this.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I love the way you do your rollers, I live in the Dominican Republic and I always dry my hair with rollers at the beauty salon, I wish I could do my own rollers just like you YOU ARE MY HERO! I started using some of the products you use and they are just GREAT!
I'm just trying to play kitchen beautician ....I cant always aford to go to the shop so I really appreciate these at home videos you create.. it really helps a lot.
She does a great job on every video that I've seen of hers. She's versatile and use inexpensive products that are readily available at any local beauty supply store. I wish she lived in Chicago. I would definitely go to her.
You are a beast! So glad I found your UA-cam. Please please please do a tutorial on how you wrap your hair. I always have such a hard time doing it especially when my hair is curled.
Mo Knows Hair you really do know hair. I have watched so many of your videos and wished I had someone like you to do my hair and not cut 6 inches off as a trim. :/ Everyone I go to a salon, they get scissor happy. At least I can watch and learn. Thanks for sharing.
Lisa76015 Always do a consultation before you allow anyone to start cutting...be sure they understand what you want and let them tell you how much hair they think they need to remove. If it doesn't sound right to you, get out the chair and find another stylist!
I'm switching tho natural and haven't had a relaxer since last July. My hair is driving me crazy so I keep it on a bun. It's so dry. I'm so glad I found your video.
I absolutely LOVE THIS METHOD!!! I usually like to wet my hair and keep it going but thats only for the summer time. in the fall and winter is when I use this method. its not alot of heat so I don't have to worry about damaging my hair and its a really cute style. THANKS MO!!!😊
Dang, every video I look at to straighten natural hair it's always the ones wit mid-length or long hair. Y'all make me wish I neva cut my hair cuz some parts are too short n coarse to deal wit. Ur hair is beau tho.
Thank you for your tutorials. I believe my hair texture (my new growth) is similar to yours, but I am 5 months into transitioning. It has been motivating to see I can still have my straight hair without relaxing every 3 to 4 months.
You are absolutely the best stylist I've ever seen I wish I could get you to do my hair I'm learning so much from your videos Thank You! Mo Knows Hair!
I'm not a stylist, but I too take additional steps to allow my products to saturate my hair without direct thermal heat, like a flat iron. The wrapping and using plastic wrap and sitting under the dryer was a Treatment. It's the details that give you great results. 3.5 hours of labor pays off in beautiful hair. She's a great example of it.
This was excellent. I've been looking for an efficient, accurate no nonsense presentation on how to care for my hair. I've looked at 100s yours is the best. Thanks. I really appreciate your presentation and your advice on proper hair care.
I love your video. You have given me so much more hope in dealing with this 3C texture hair. I always feel like it's so limp wet and it takes forever to dry. By the time it dries, it has shrunk up to a fluffy cotton ball. I also trying to achieve your length. I will continue to watch your videos. Thank you so much.
OMG YOUR HAIR IS SO FREAKING HEALTHY, THICK & PRETTY!! I AM IN HAIR CRUSH HEAVEN & I THOUGHT MY HAIR WAS BANGING!! SHHHHIIIIDDDD I AINT GOT ISH ON YOU BOO!! BOMB
Monica Stevens wow you made that look so easy when you wrapped your hair - my hair never wraps so easily. great vid!!! very beautiful - keep up the good work!
I'm confused. Why are so many people asking her to address type 4 hair? If you want to see styling for a different texture then go to a video of someone with that texture. Obviously her tips will work best for someone with a texture similar to hers...
She's had a model with type 4 hair come in on various videos to discuss how to get the same results on type 4 hair which is probably why so many people keep requesting for her to do it again
Late....but let's remember most of her steps are salon services that aide in "training" healthy hair, no matter the type. Like wrapping and tightly using plastic wrap to seal in the oil she used. We can all benefit from these tips. But, Oxy88 has a point. I watch Naptural and I'm protein sensitive, and she uses a lot of protein in her natural hair. But, I like her techniques any. We watch who we like, I guess.
I just recently purchased ALL of these products to try and see if this method works out for my hair... I purchased majority of the products at my local beauty supply, had to go to a salon that sold aveda products to get the style prep smoother & I just went to my local drugstore to find the CHI oil :) great regimen
Tamica Blanding It won't, that's why I haven't. Those textures will not stretch, smooth and hold on magnetic rollers. You would have to try it with flexi rods.
I flat iron my hair and waiting for it to dry (I can't blow dry, it kills my hair.), deep conditioning, the works takes me five plus hours!!! I have to clear out an entire day to do my hair and it drives me nuts. doing this looks a lot less damaging than my usual style and a lot better in results! Thank you! I'll have to start saving for big rollers and a hooded dryer!
Thank you for sharing this! You've given me a new way to do my relaxed hair. Before watching this video, I would just wrap my hair then flat iron. But it would only for hold one day. I modified it a tad by wrapping first then roller setting then doing the wrap with the plastic part. This style really does last 5 to 7 days. I wish I could skip the flat iron part! But on my type 4 hair, it sometimes turns out fizzy and too poofy with just the rollers. But even with having to go behind it with a flat iron, this style is still much healthier on my hair since I don't have to flat iron it everyday like I was before. Thanks!
Great tutorials! Your hair is very much like my hair type and texture, so you your tutorials are spot on in helping me achieve a healthy looking hairstyles. Thank you - keep em coming.
We tried this on my daughter hair and it turned out perfect! Next I will see if it works on mines. I have thin hair...and I'm hoping this will add volume to mines...love your tutorials. ..😆
Please never take this video down. You have saved me so much money just from this video alone. Thank you so much! X

when I tell u I've been watching these videos so long and have seen so much progress in my hair. when I first started my hair was barely resting on my shoulders. now it actually sits a little past my collarbone. I'm so happy.
Just following her advice alone?!

I dont know why anyone would put a thumbs down. This tutorial is excellent, wow this girl knows to do hair! The way she handles her hair is very much like a beautician. It is precise and done with care. Love love this 😁
This is probably the best video I've seen on this process. Excellent.

You're welcome! And after you do it a few times, you'll shave off that time I'm sure.

Awesome! Watching this 6 years later.
People don't realize it, but that plastic is key to a great, smooth wrap. Great tutorial!
Hair is super gorgeous loved watching this thought you were relaxed then I realized you were natural, very beautiful
This is the first video I've seen that makes sense, follows what we were taught in school, & was safe, efficient & came out flawless. Well done beautiful!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕

I'm in love with your hair colour.
Does anyone know what color she has on her hair? I’ve been trying to achieve this color for years!
It is a lot of work, but worth it! Your hair is in great condition and the color is beautiful. The only people I know that do a perfect job with roller are usually Dominican ladies, and now you! This was a great and informative video to watch. Thank you!
I'm learning so much from you. Plastic wrap over silk oil application...I going to do that too! Thank you. Your hair as usual is the B-O-M-B-!
Finally! A well detailed, well-explained video! I love how you just get into the video tutorial. Most videos are of people who rather hear themselves talk or look at their reflection. lol. Thank you! I loved it and learned so much!

What was the point of wrapping the hair if you use the flat iron?
you dont have to blow dry the roots and hair to flat iron, you can just wrap it

so it can have more body
If it's done correctly you don't need to flat iron it

Great tutorials! Your hair is very much like my hair type and texture, so you your tutorials are spot on in helping me achieve a healthy looking hairstyles. Thank you - keep em coming.
Whaat? That's so beautiful! I have wavy hair, I wonder if this would work for me!
And does it stay straight for a week even if you wash it? :)
I was wondering if maybe one of the products she used worked as a relaxer, keeping it straight after the wash :)
Nita Gill nope. if you're natural, once you wet it with water or a product that has water in it your hair will revert back to its natural state.
We tried this on my daughter hair and it turned out perfect! Next I will see if it works on mines. I have thin hair...and I'm hoping this will add volume to mines...love your tutorials. ..😆
Can you do you this on 4c hair?
You whipped this style!!! Looooooove it!!!! Just simply beautiful!
please tell me how she still looks gorgeous with her hair in a wrap? lol
Omg your hair is amazinggggg it looks so healthy and vibrant and the color looks absolutely gorgeous on you, girl!!❤️

I haven't had a relaxer in 8 years...can I do this on my natural hair?
Her hair is natural, she just has a different hair type
