After including high fives in several of their games, I really hope Supermassive eventually do have a fatal QTE on a high five in one of their games. The person swings, misses, loses their balance and gets impaled on a tree branch or something. They could do it with an irrelevant side character, or reveal it was a dream sequence, but every time I see one of these games, I imagine how the smallest mistake on the simplest task could suddenly result in a gruesome death. It's probably too much trouble to put in a blooper reel for the credits or something, but if they just snuck it into a game in a random spot, it could be the funniest thing ever.
These Dark Pictures games were so brutal with their "1 mistake and someone's dead" thing, it's almost possible that they'd do a missed highfive qte death sequence.

Yeah, I agree. Until Dawn had very well rounded characters you could empathize with, and the danger was actually real and not hallucinated. Man of Medan often had very underdeveloped characters and the danger was never actually real which always was a letdown compared to until dawn. The Quarry kind of reels it all back to that 'real threat' feeling.

the quarry is so good! ive only seen gameplays of it, but even so, it kept me at the edge of my seat. had me nervous and very anxious about what will happen if you choose this option or that option, hoping you didnt just kill that character.
I honestly felt it was worse than until dawn. Until Dawn's choices actually had weight and they had in depth character relationships and they could be affected by your choices. But in this I chose the opposite options for the first 4 chapters so far and nothing had an impact just a small dialogue change and the clues arent brought up alot in this but in until dawn the characters would talk about it to eachother if you found them. And the premonitions dont tell you much like if you want them or not but until dawn had good totems and death totems so you knew if you wanted to avoid a certain outcome. Plus the ending of this game is super anticlimactic it just ends tell you who survived and the characters have no outro or anything happen between them at the end it felt kinda lazy tbh plus it was fairly predictable at certain parts and didnt have too much of a shock/scary factor especially with the hold your breath mechanic it wasnt stressful at all like the hold your controller still but that's just my thoughts on it. It wasnt bad but it was alot to be desired

Finished the game in two nights, and absolutely loved it! I played until dawn When it came out, and it has remained my favorite game ever. I will say I still like until dawn a little bit more, but this one was amazing! Greatly recommend it to people who liked until dawn!

fun fact, with no bars, you can still use maps. BC the gyroscope (or altinator? idk what it's called) can estimate where you've walked/moved since your last ping, so it will be "fairly" accurate. Worked in the south american jungle for me.
The game felt so weird, it's like at moments your choice didnt matter at all and either choice you made led to the same outcome. and other moments felt like it happened just to further the plot, I doubt they're gonna make a game anywhere close to Until Dawn.

@@yuritarded8870 It felt like the cast had no emotion. Just a bunch of robots. I feel like the director didn't actually direct them, and just gave them lines with no context.
@@yuritarded8870 i think that’s what it tries to emulate. it’s trying to be like those cheesy summer camp 80’s slasher movies. the humor and everything seems that way.

Finished the game in two nights, and absolutely loved it! I played until dawn When it came out, and it has remained my favorite game ever. I will say I still like until dawn a little bit more, but this one was amazing! Greatly recommend it to people who liked until dawn!
there’s a place called escapology and it’s like puzzle rooms you and your friends try to solve to get out of i’ve never went so i don’t know what you do in the place but the building is kinda big

Would better if they also put some more time into polishing everything else like the lip synce and body animations to not be choppy as hell

And UA-cam won't step in because it generates so much money for them too. It's a cycle of corruption and extortion that will only end if the community join together and fight against it.

fun fact, with no bars, you can still use maps. BC the gyroscope (or altinator? idk what it's called) can estimate where you've walked/moved since your last ping, so it will be "fairly" accurate. Worked in the south american jungle for me.
The game felt so weird, it's like at moments your choice didnt matter at all and either choice you made led to the same outcome.
and other moments felt like it happened just to further the plot, I doubt they're gonna make a game anywhere close to Until Dawn.
Oh man co op seems so fun with a friend. Definitely wish my friend didn’t live so far so we could play together cause she loves these games
