If you are traveling to Dominican Republic you should learn the value of your money to our Dominican Pesos and learn how to manage it. Many people look at our money and spend it as if it has no value when in reality, if you're in the country it does have value because you are exchanging your currency for ours. So you should pay attention to how you spend it. If you enjoy this video checkout my Dominican Republic playlist here ua-cam.com/play/PL0OHP8RGzZ5aTY_XSCWJCLYfyD5FKkane.html
how can you forget about a pica pollo for 100 pesos
great video !! can you do a similar with fruits and veggies off the fruit trucks and colmado. Ex what I can buy with $200-$300 pesos off the fruit truck &/ or colmado.
@@ayitiologie Hahaha...yes you are right.
Very informative video!
@@whodatdere thanks
Very informative, the prices of these foods and items is the same price in america, ok so here is where the local Dominicans lose out, if the cost of food and stuff is the same as ours but they make alot alot less, that is the problem. Ok now i see. My friend told me everything else works good with exchange rate but they said food is expensive for dominicans. I understand now. Regular local cafe/resturaunt meals are really affordable for americans, and fairly affordable for locals, but retail food prices are high for dominican wages. I see.
I needed to watch this video for my trip. Greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the great content this year.
You're welcomed. Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m very happy that you are smiling today. A curfew will never stop your flow. And remember: Dominicanas are the sexiest 😉
Yes, it is what it is. Thank you!
Thanks Sis....relocating there in a few months to reconnect with family.
That's wonderful. I know you are excited.
This video was awesome after she told me the exchange rate I would pause the video for a like 30 secs to convert the price to USD in my head for the different product and I was always close to her number. Either I got the exact number or was off 20 cents.
thank you for this video i am going to DR for the second time in July and always used us dollars but realized I am spending more money so this time I will be using DOP
Great Video!
Thank you❤
Thanks. I have been there Oct, Nov and Dec 2020. I carry USA singles dollars, debit cards and credit card. My girlfriend help me with Pesos! Shalom/Peace and much blessings
A very creative way of showing the value and purchasing power of all peso denominations. One night in Puerto Plata I gave a thousand peso tip to someone when I thought I was giving a 100 peso tip, jajaja. The woman I was with pointed it out to me.
Lol...that happens all the time. My husband mixes up the 200 peso and the 1000 peso all the time.
Thanks to you I can move to Dominican republic and start a new life and family 🤗🥴
Your definitely welcomed☺
Very good! A lot of people that think they are given fairer payment to taxi driver, you will be surprised how they believe they are been taken advantages and would be shamefully said in public the miserable payment given to drivers.
She forgot to say, "It's the best coffee on earth"!😊
Good video for travelers that are new to the Dominican Republic. Practical and informative!!! Great job!!!
Thank you!
Learning I send money to family members need to learn ..making sure family members are OK ..
Thank you so much. You good on what you are doing and saying 👍🤛👏
I appreciate that!
Thanks you for understand the money inDR
Even though the rate is better right now, it was easier for me when it was closer to 50 because in my head it was a quick conversion $40, $20. $10, $2, $1.........lol. Of course it's nicer now to get more for your money.
Very good break down.I would keep large bills in left pocket and small bills in right side 100 peso in back.
I see you got a system down for when you come to DR👍
Very helpful knowing how far the $ will go, when buying everyday food items. Nice breakdown of the
currency too... Happy New Year to you and your Family! #Hotep #2021
Same to you! I hope you have prosperous New Year!
Well damn , things are expensive. Thanks for the help
You're welcome.
I find that a currency converter app comes in handy downloaded to your phone when you travel. With the app the exchange rate is updated constantly.💰
Great option!
What’s the name of the app
@Nathan Diggs it’s called OANDA CURRENCY CONVERTER . But since I downloaded it sometime ago sure they came out with an updated version. 👍🏾 They're plenty different ones!
The way she said bottle of water nearly made me faint lol love the accent! Very informative video! Thanks!
Thank you.
Feliz año nuevo y todo lo mejor en tu vida personal!! Mantente segura y bien! :))
Muchas gracias. Feliz ano nuevo para ti tambien
Thank you norberis ,happy new year 2021 much love ! 🎈🎉🎇🎊

You're welcomed.
You are so awesome. I wish I had you as a teacher to learn Spanish. I’ll be there in 3-4 months God willing
Thank you. If I can find time to finish my Spanish course I could be your teacher😏
@@NorberisR All of your videos have helped me learn so much about the DR
Incredibly helpful video. Thank you so much for breaking everything down and showing the bills and coins. I love that the DR puts women on it's money! :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thank for the good information going to the Dominican republic in the currency is hard to understand hopefully I get it
You're welcome. The easiest way to remember is $50 RD is roughly equivalent to $1 USD.
I love it. I am thinking the price is right as you tell us what we can buy. My dominican girl friend have been over on me. Yep I am a sucker.
We made it to the beautiful DR, but unfortunately due to these crazy new curfew hours, we won't get to spend as much of that monopoly money as we want lol!
I know😂
Thank you for making this valuable video beautiful lady...Gracias por hacer este valioso video hermosa dama.
You're welcomed. I'm glad it was helpful ☺️
I enjoyed your video and love the way you talk.
Thank you
Money from the United States is not green anymore except for the $1 bill. Which is the same exact color as monopoly money.
and truly USD is Monopoly money
God bless you Norberis😁🍾💯
Thank you! Same to you.
Great and informative video ...very smart lady ..I like you more each video ..keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Gracias(-:
Happy New Year to you and your family Norberis. That chicken, beef, pork chops and shrimp look excellent,Oh and the beverages of course. This is a very educative video you’ve done here.
Thank you! Same to you!
Norberis R.,Always.
American products are basically the same if not even more than the US.. When you are in DR it's good to think in pesos, it makes your money stretch further.
Very good suggestion.
Nice video Norberis. I too have to be very careful with the similarities between the currencies you showed , one just need to be very attentive. Nice video and happy New Years to you , your husband, child o children. More blessings and hope your ventures will be very successful.
Very true! Happy New Year's to you and your family too.
Thanks for the information Norberis, I’ll be there next month for 5 days
Thank you. excellent.🇩🇴
Thank you for showing us the money currency , it makes a lot of sense, and it's true, if you don't known the currency you will go wild and crazy. Thanks
My pleasure!
Transparent I love it

You are welcome.

Great video. Always informative. Can you someday talk about obtaining health insurance in the Dominican republican. Especially for seniors. Thank you in advance.
Feliz Año Nuevo. 🥃
I already did a video on health insurance . Check my catalog.
Thank you for this information. It was definitely helpful.
You are welcome, thank you.
@@NorberisR You're welcome
Great video. Would it be easier to use a credit card when you can. I love the video. Great job
Absolutely! I prefer to use credit cards when I can.
your credit card from the United states?
Yes only ones that don't charge foreign fees
Thank you beautiful. Gracias hermosa.

@@NorberisR you are my favorite UA-cam person
Wow that’s amazing a bottle of water for .17
When here in USA Cost over $1
Yes it is.
Thank you!
Some of the rated were off a bit. I like exact amounts.
Feel free to do the conversions yourself from the current rates for the exact amounts. This video is a guide for people to have an idea.
The best video ever!
Thank you.
Good afternoon beautiful ❤️
How are you doing today?
God 🙏 bless you and your family ❤️
Happy new year 🎉💐💘💐
Thank you! You too! I'm doing great. Hope all is well.
This video was very helpful. I don’t like they charge more for that shredded cheese there than in US. Sometimes we can get two packs for that price and still have change.
Yes I notice that to about shredded cheese.
i drink bustelo every morning. my family always had bustelo in the house growing up
Yes it has become my favorite too.
Thank you for this video sister norberis 👍.
Make sure you put that meat back into the refrigerator before it goes bad lol 🙄.
Except for that shrimp 🍤 = 👎😐, we're not supposed to be eating that 😐.
I made sure I did😊 Please don't take the shrimp away from me😥
@@NorberisR In the bible 📖, it says that eating shrimp, or any unclean animal is a sin.
Anything that we eat that comes out of the waters 🚣, is fish 🐟.
The fish we can eat can only have fins and scales. Read the book of numbers, and the book of Leviticus.
@@hostilemgtow603 Thanks for the info.
Where to get grits from over there
Playero Supermercado in Sosua
It BYOG here in DR. Bring Your Own Grits...lol!
The bottled water is SUPER cheap is that filtered? Thanks for the helpful content.
I think its just regular bottle water. I'm not sure. I would have to check.
I enjoyed the video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
@@NorberisR coming down to meet you on the 20th of January don't look good because of the curfew????? What do you think?
@@davidmickel3809 I will be gone by the 20th. We are scheduled to leave on the 14th. However, if you have family here then I would still come. But if you are looking to have fun and hangout the whole time maybe you want to reschedule.
@@NorberisR thank you 😊
@@davidmickel3809 how long are you staying?
how much do you tip for a housekeeping, please?
In a hotel? It's up to you how much you want to leave.
Get familiar with the exchange rate but use the U,S dollar
Bad advice, you use the local currency of any country you're in. You're at a disadvantage when you pay in dollars here. Period.
thank you queen! I'm going in October so I want to make sure I look at your video more than once and right down notes. what I'm thinking is converting all my money to small bills and not the larger bills just so I do not make a mistake. can you do that?
Yes you can do that. Thank you. enjoy your visit❤.
I appreciate you
Thank you. and you are welcome.
I wish you gave the guys the low down on getting fake pesos when you carry high bills. A little guidance on what bills is best to have and where to use your big bills without getting fake bills back. I try not having anything over 500 pesos and not many Street vendors have change for big bills.
I don't know the low down on that...lol! I've heard about it before but don't know much information about it. I try not to carry the 2000 pesos because as you said not many have change for it.
I'm bringing 1k us to dominica republic
57.50... 3 months ago, the exchange was 58 🥺
I All Ways Tell Every One If You Go To Another Country And There Money Is A Lot Less Then Yours All Ways Spend Money Like It Is Your Money From Your Country Do Not See It As Just Cheap SO Easy To Spend As You Look At It As Peso But Look At It Like Its Money From Your Country And You Will Not Over Spend
Great suggestion. Thanks for sharing.
@@NorberisR your Welcome Thank You For Doing These Videos They Really Give Us All A Insite To Other Country's And Other other people's point of view Perspective Keep Them Coming
How much spending money would you suggest someone bring with them?
I don't know. Everyone is different. It depends on what you want to do while you are here.
Pesos is very confusing compared to USD. Tell me do you like when get paid from work and you cash your check that's like tons of bills right?
Well it would be confusing if its not a currency you've used your whole life. To Dominicans there's nothing confusing about it.
Can you do an updated video for this???
Sure!
I also asked my uncle for 5 pesos and I went to my other uncle's corner store and I got packs of candy and at night I got sent out by my mom to by cheese plantains salami to Cooke and something's we went to my aunt's cook out to eat the best platanos maduro and spaghetti
👍.
I am looking for a place to move too. I'm currently looking at Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic. I just don't know what documents I need to enter Dominican Republic
You don't need any documents to enter DR besides your passport.
I am on the understanding that the rate changes frequently. Is this rate current for February of 2022?
I can't remember the rate in this video but the current exchange rate is around $55.50 RD for $1 USD
Every day at school I use to get 2 25 pesos and with that I bought two packs of marshmallow some chips a juice and a sandwich and better I could have lunch in the principals office bc the principal is my uncle and every kid use to think I was so lucky
👍.
I want Dominican Republic money Norberis

Hey i have a question for you ma'am
Send me an email to sheisdominican@gmail.com
Hola
Hola
I would like to meet you😊😊
How much is 20,000 USA dollars in the Dominican Republic?
The current exchange rate is $57 RD to $1 USD
57 to 1us .Trinidad is 7 to1us smh
Now it's 53 pesos to the 1 USD
Hi, what could i buy with $1 there. Answer for my research paper please
This is mentioned in the video. Go back and watch it.
your travel website and relocation has a redirect to a different website. well atleast when i try it
amorluxurytravel.com/ It's working fine for me.
@@NorberisRyea i think its the link on the video. but the other links were good. thats what i meant. when i type it in the url it goes to it.
oh, let me check it.
do you think 10,000 pesos would be enough to travel to DR?
Enough for a plane ticket?
@@NorberisR no I mean for visiting and buying stuff and getting food etc..
@@josepharnst2428 Depends on how long you're staying, the places, and what type of things you are talking about buying. For an average tourist you'll probably spend this in 2 to 4 days.
@@NorberisR thank you so much!!
does 3000 pesos equal 55 dollars in US money ?
Just divide it by 57.50 (current exchange rate) and that's your answer.
$1000 and $200 peso confused all the time
Same here.
1000 Pesos does not have any faces or people on either side, just buildings only....200 pesos have 3 faces on it.
Make you a deal! $20 dollars for the Rum & Coke! LMK!
😂 then you'll say we Dominicans give you the gringo prices..lol
Yeah it's not worth much tbh
Very nice collection ❤️❤️❤️ Subscribe Done 👍
