    63 years old, riding over 50 years. That’s the first time I’ve seen a spoon used on the opposite side to find drop center. 👏🏻 I’m pretty sure that tire has a balance point circle. It’s yellow and marked at the lightest point of the tire. It goes next to the rim lock, the heaviest part of the rim.
    Also I didn’t know that Dunlop had that tire. I’ll check it out after I burn off two more sets.
    Thanks for your “reality” video. It’s nice to see humility and goes a long way in my book.

      With Mousse, balancing is almost out the window without throwing it on a balancer afterwards. Because now you have the tire and mousse that you need to balance. I don’t believe this tire has a yellow dot like most street stuff but I may have missed it. Thanks 😊

    I'm glad you showed it with a bigger mousse. I still can't do a 120/18 Golden Tyre 333 and a Michelin M14 mousse despite using my Rabaconda. No idea what I'm doing wrong. I take it to my tire changing guy and he says it's a bitch even with a tire changing machine so not sure if it's me or the tire/mousse combo or both.

      It definitely takes some time to learn. I still have some I struggle with from time to time. Find an older soft mousses and tire to practice with

    Ok, now do it with 2 craftsman screwdrivers you got for christmas when you were 15 years old, and no bead pinchey tool.
    Thanks for sharing the correct way to do this.

      I’ve done it all sorts of ways and it can be miserable. I’ll stick to the correct tools when I can.

    Definitely will have to get a Rabaconda. I am tired of changing tires on the ground.

    I took ESS's advice on using a larger mousse for a firmer tire. Works great.. mounting was indeed tougher

    As usual, great video! I might add one thing that I have run in to, the brake disk should be cleaned with some type of "Brake Clean" before re-install on the bike. I have found that some spray slick stuff will contaminate the brake pads. Then it's a new pair of shoes.

      Good call on that one. Always a good idea to wipe rotors down just incase

    2 or 3 bead buddies do the trick especially with Michelin desert race mousses which are way harder than those.
    Good job Travis!
    PS: for the rim lock at the end, you can push it simply by using one tire lever & the Rabaconda rim support tube underneath the spokes when you do your last bite.

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Рік тому +1

      Yes, the desert IT is a gift from satan himself 😂. I’ll pull out my bead buddies when it gets super difficult but a spin works well for me. As for the spot to wedge the rim lock…. I struggle to make that work

    Great video. I find that I have to cut and stuff the Nitro Mousse even when new sometimes. I don't think they are very consistent in size even new. I just keep an old mouse for cutting pieces to stuff them.

      I had that issue a few times last year but they seem to be getting better again. I’ve talked to them and they had some manufacturing issues

    With the mousse sitting on top of the bead lock like that, do you feel the bump if your pressure is low enough

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Рік тому

      No, I’ve never felt it before. In my gummy setup with a soft mousse and tire and I actually run 2 rim locks also. But I can’t feel them because it’s not that soft

    What size of the c clamp are you using? I've never seen this idea before but I bet it makes pressing the rim lock much easier!

    I’m getting ready to change the tires on my new TBI 300 husky what would you recommend for tires and moose for winter riding

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Рік тому

      I’d say a soft rear mousse and a firm front one. As for tires, I don’t know if you’re running somewhere that requires studs or not. But a IRC VE33s would be a good place to start

    It’s impossible to spoon one on a 140/80-18. My mousse is bulging 3” out from inside of the tire.

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  3 місяці тому +1

      Might be oversized…. But nothing is impossible 😂
      I feel like I’ve gone to war a few times with mousses that were too big. Man it sucks

    • @ThisTall
      @ThisTall 3 місяці тому

      @@EverySingleSunday 4 ratchet straps, 6 C-clamps and three 16” spoons in a fixed stand, and I couldn’t get the 1st bead half on. And I’ve spooned at least 20 tires before.

    If you are doing the 3000th how to install a mousse video, at least do it on the floor for those that don’t have an expensive tire stand.

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Рік тому

      I did a video on how I do it tricks and tips and then I use.
      If I changed my tires on the floor using sticks, then I would’ve done it that way, but I don’t
      If you’re gonna leave the 3000tj comment on how you want to see a video made… you should go make the video
