My 23 plastic cage was warped from the factory so bad. It let air in from the bottom of the filter. I got a new oem cage and it's better. But still so much more flexible than the 16-22 design. Bad design. I'll probably get a metal cage eventually. I tried the pc racing seal and it was terrible. You could barely get the air filter on, the tabs felt like they were gonna break. Bad job KTM.
The seal definitely makes it hard to clip it on the first few times. I had one on my 22 and after it’s been there for a little bit it develops a groove where it sits. It’s a great thing to add even though it’s a little bit of a fuss when it’s new.
Just subscribed due to the video being a perfect balance of informative and entertaining. I've watched many, many, many videos on all sorts of mechanical endeavors, and this one has the formula dialed.
Great kit, put one on my bike a few month ago. I don't put the skin all the way over, just enough to where it coves most of the filter, that way I can pull it off with out removing the filter.

I appreciate it. Just try to spill out the info we all need and none of the extra BS. Thanks mate
Wow your back good to see this channel again 👍
❤️
Excellent video, Travis!
Thanks man. Some good info the world needs for sure. 👍
looks much better than stock! What are the reeds for?
We get those in our street legal bikes here to help keep the sound down. It’s a wild solution but it worked for making them legal.
@@EverySingleSunday That's wild.
Looking good!

That’s smart. As long as it stays in place it’s good
I've been oiling my filter skins. Aren't they supposed to be oiled?
I never oil them
I’ve heard people doing both
Does it actually work? The assumption is that the stock filter frame is flexing... but might it be the airbox? I'd love to see your results.
I have heard from a few people it solved the issue. I’m heading to Baja soon so I’ll know for sure
@@EverySingleSunday word.
No grease along the seated edge?
If you have a poor sealant can help. But with the right parts, grease isn’t needed
Has this same issue been seen on the 23s as well or just the 24s?
I run the gasket on all my bikes but the newest gen KTM Is more known for sucking dirt compared to older versions
Do you know if this will work on a 24 KTM 250 XCW? Your filter box and filter look identical to mine.
Yes. It’s the same
Thanks. Not sure why Tacomoto doesn't list that it works for the 24 XCW's on his site?
No clue, you would have to ask them. But I’m 100% sure it will work
Hell yeah
🤙
Will this fit my '14 250 XC-W?
I assume it will. The fitting on your master cylinder may be a different size. Check the bottom to see what size piston you have now
