- Hi! I'm a style, travel and beauty storyteller who loves all things leisure and luxury! We went to Senegal in West Africa for the holidays. I wanted to share a glimpse of our time there. Hope you enjoy!
We stayed at: The Radisson Blu
We flew: Delta Airlines straight from JFK to DSS
We flew from DSS to Lome to ACC on Ethiopian Air operated by ASKY (I DO NOT RECOMMEND)
We visited:
Dakar City
African Renaissance Museum
Goree Island Slave dungeon
And more!
I recommend:
African Renaissance Monument
Ngor Island
Visiting Fathala Reserve
I recommend traveling to the Gambia if you can by ferry (no longer visa on arrival)
I recommend a drive to Saly
Also the pink lake
Visiting a Fulani Village
Visiting the Museum of African Civilization

I just sat here and got me a little tour of Dakar, Senegal Thanks to Tenicka! As an African woman I appreciate this so much! Thanks for sharing your journey with us and for emphasizing that The Continent has a lot to offer! Maybe you will consider visiting Cameroon one day!🙏🏾
I absolutely loved the tour. Africa is on my bucket list. Africa,
gave me Jamaica vibes. Beautiful Black people everywhere, which really makes me want to travel home to the Motherland.
Notice how clean the streets are amazing
Thank you so, so much for this vlog. Born and raised in West Africa and we were only taught to go outward on holidays in the Western world, never inward into the continent of Africa. Thank you so so much for going to these countries and showing us the beauty that is Africa!
Go to places where people appreciate you and happy that your visiting, beautiful family in a beautiful country , you are such a light👏🏾
Thank you
Loving this!! Just got back from my native Liberia and I cannot wait to explore more of the continent. I had to keep reminding my sisters about things being different than the west. Great video.
Just like you every time I go on vacation especially to a warm climate my choice of food at any restaurant is always fish, I love it and I am never disappointed.
We been waiting for this! I take it’s a part 2 for Ghana🥰
I loved this hotel!!! The views from my room was breathtaking!!! Also, when we wear at the pool the views were gorgeous!
I’m glad your family had the best time!!!
First of, I am so glad you came to my city and I am happy you and your family shared this wonderful experience with us. Glad you had a good time but you know you need to come back because one week was way too short in my opinion.
For your next trip, Ngor island, lla tour des mamelles, saint Louis, les îles du saloum, la petite cote, kedougou, cap skirting etc…
I am glad you highlighted The work Of Diarrablu.
Keep up the great work. I like your videos on Pinterest too.
I look forward to seeing the Ghana vlog.
My trips to Africa (Ghana and South Africa) have been my favorite so far! I definitely have added Senegal to my list and hopefully I will get to visit Nigeria this year. I remember in South Africa they wanted half of the plane to get off where we all needed to go and the other half to walk down stairs to then walk up stairs to join everyone else from the other half. I politely declined and was allowed to get off where everyone needed to go. I had never experienced such a plane exit. I believe I first heard of Diarra Blu from one of your IG reels. Thank you for introducing us to Black/African designers that we may not know.
Thank you so much for taking me along on this so necessary journey. I've always had an interest in visiting the Continent and this has sealed the deal for me. Thank you for your beautiful and inspirational content. Lovely family also.
Absolutely beautiful tour, and beautiful family as well!! Thank you for sharing your travel experience.

Nice !!! Very cool video😊
Tenicka let Mr. B rest 🛌 his ancestors say sleep lol 😆
Bless you for this content sis..
I'm in Senegal now. I have heard such great things about it but thus far I don't get what all of the hype is about at all. To me it seems way overrated.
mr. b is me on vacation. i’m always tryna get a nap in 😂
Thank you for bringing us along on your beautiful vacation. Random question, what’s Mr. B’s background?
Next time, I will appreciate a better sound quality of future videos.
Planning to visit Senegal next year. Is yellow fever vaccine required from US?
Wondering the same!!
Hi Tenicka, What's the network situation in Dakar? Do they have 4G or 3G there?
I love a good travel blog and I also understand the importance of privacy, but just a couple of thoughts I had while watching: Was there a reason we couldn't hear the your tour guide speak about the slave holding quarters? The Senegalese designer, you mentioned you wore her clothing in S.A. It would've been nice to see clips or a picture of said outfits. It would've been nice to see her designs in the store as you were shopping. Lastly what happened it ended so abruptly? And will there be a part 2? I like watching vlog to get all the feels. I just get that or the urge to wanna go there. I love your style, but this vlog was just blah for me.
👍😊
Can you link the “b” necklace and the African continent one!
I’m from Senegal 🇸🇳
Lives in California was enjoyed watching your video
Hope u had fun 🤩
How was it at the airport in Accra? I know there’s a lot going on there, I don’t want to go to Ghana because of all the chaos at the airport, I hope y’all were good, and the braids 🙌🏾🙌🏾🤩🤩
There's no chaos at Accra Ghana and in the airport. It's one of the most organised airport in Africa
Sénégal have thé more beautiful airport and Dakar is high level.Accra is not clean
@@ecovisiongroupeafridecouve8436 lol you are delusional. W respect our francophone countries. Ghana is peaceful and with happy people. Plus we are clean people. We love keeping our environment clean. Never been to Senegal for me to comment, but you can't trash Talk on them. They are good people
15:20 the music was so upbeat that I forgot I was viewing profoundly disgusting history.

Hi
💜💚💙🧡
Désolée de critiquer mais ce vlog est rempli de clichés de bout en bout et assez creux. Et pour une spécialiste du style et de la mode, mettre des faux cils, mais quelle horreur !!!
