- How to install chromecast for Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 models with the code 864 rear compartment entertainment package. Also possible to install in the front screen if you got CarPlay module with HDMI.
Back seat pax are going to enjoy that, nice 😀 and I get the reasoning of a temp installation whilst you fine tune the system 👍

Good job. You have a very high spec e-class there, it would be nice to see a video where you show all the options- e.g airmatic, dynamic seats, Harmon Kardon and everything else 😉
Thanks I love this car is so nice to drive, and the active seats is probably the best luxury option I had try so far. That’s on the to do list probably coming later this winter.

Thanks is really work flawlessly so far. So much better. I feel the DVD is outdated to use.
You may check if you using chromecast to me knowledge you need to have external WiFi to have it working for some reason. If you like doing hotspot you may chose different smart module.

A mini 120v power inverter is availible for cig-plug size(mine is 75W ) socket and offer more power/amperage than the basic 12vUSB adaptor you are using. Get a mounted inveter(double the size a of gaming consoles output) then u can play some AAA games while waitng for AAA to arrive, lol

Awesome. I've installed some time ago the same set of stuff but connected it via MMI Aux interface. I thought I was the only one who's came up with this idea. Couldn't find this in UA-cam.
BTW was surprised with the snow, thought it's an old video I've skipped :)
Interesting how is that actually work, you got MMI to the rear system, or you have it for the front? I never seen MMI here in Sweden don’t think we have that option. Hehe is was shot same day as the upload and now the winter coming fast and here to stay for a long time.
@@MB212 I've got MMI socket in armrest. Aux 3.5 connector for MMI socket works for both audio and video signal. Works with front screen for me, I don't have rear ones.

Yess is nice retrofit for the old screens : ) due to the chromecast need WiFi and also need to connect from phone WiFi to it can’t be done with only phone. But you could probably locate some other dongle that could do both things.

Hi, is have the same screens (S212) 2010. I did exactly the same installation but i don’t get any image on the screen. Do you have any explanation for it? Many thanks for your video’s. I also mounted apple car play with help from your videos

You can buy it from your local mb dealer or online site selling original parts, I using www.carparts-pros.com from Germany. Price there is 182 Euro, but I learned price around the world is pretty much same, but some dealer take bit more and some less.
