Thanks for the tips and techniques. Very helpful and now I’ll never look at my milk carton or strawberry containers the same. Appreciate the excellent content.
Bob... So glad that I keep older Videos for reference. One of my Trucks is an 1850l... But the Hercules Hobby version. I was curious, and found that the Hercules COMES with BEARINGS, and Brass Transmission Gears! Fit and finish isn't quite as good as Tamiya, but still nice - and $150 LESS. The point here is, the HH version comes with the Arocs Cab and Dashboard - and I was left wondering HOW to light up that Dash. Thankfully, your Video explains it well. Thank you!! 👍👍
Absolutely love your videos your knowledge and skills are second to none . I’m on a first semi build I’ve learnt so much from your videos . Thank you ..
11:40, Tamiya red clear makes excellent fake blood! It appears as if your finger was bleeding in this frame. EXCELLENT video, Bob! Thanks for sharing this technique with all of us!
Yes!! Actually I have a model of Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim I built and have several layers of Tamiya clear red dripping from the sword. Looks scary real.....
Good old aluminum foil is the best reflector and light block you can get. Silver paint isn’t nearly as opaque or reflective as people think it is. Greeting from a 1:160 modeler.
Thanks again Bob!! 👍👍 I'll (HOPEFULLY if not sold out next month) be getting a King or Grand Hauler and Trailer with MFC!!! I can't WAIT to do this to my Dash.
I wish I had the patience for this hobby. I just had to google "1/14 SCALE DRIVER FIGURE" to see if I could get a mini-Me to put behind the wheel. These dashes look amazing and I'm really enjoying the big 4 axle tow truck build. Vicarious hobbyist?
Fantastic how to, you show the stuff others do not. Can I ask 2 questions? What glue did you use to stick the clear plastic to the gauge sticker? and would it be possible in the future to show the way you linked the 3 led`s to the resisters in close up? Thanks for the great work and tips
I've started looking onto your videos since last week, your concepts are the best and thank you for sharing them to everyone.. Will you be selling these dashboards by any chance? If you do I need one for arocs and actros.
A friend gave it to me after he watched me tip over my glue (the things I DO NOT show on my videos!!). I don't know where he got this one but eBay has several similar.
Sorry, but Im all kinds of confused. Is the instrument panel decal a waterslide decal or a sticker? If it's a waterslide, did you waterslide it onto the clear backing or glue it? What did you mean by laminating the one to clear plastic? Did you actually use a laminating process? I.e. securing it between 2 pieces of tape. Ty.
They are stickers (not waterslide decals). I normally just stick them on over the hole or over a thig sheet of clear plastic. I do not sandwich them in.

You do incredible detailed work Bob. Very inspiring.
Amazing job on all your trucks Great ideas love your videos. You are a genius. 👍👍

Looks GREAT! Always cool when you add more lights!
That's really cool. I may have to tear my Knight Hauler down and do this.
Just amazing. I hope there is more video like that in future.

I always use Micro Kristal Clear to glue clear parts. You can get it on Amazon.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC And now I do too! LOL
Nice Bob. Can't wait for the rest. You said you are doing 12v for the Arocs? Are you using Beier or GT power?
That was for the 1850L :-)
I've started looking onto your videos since last week, your concepts are the best and thank you for sharing them to everyone..

Thanks! I very rarely sell them but if I ever have any check out my website hobbyconcepts.net
that is so cool
Nice work! Great ideas!
Any chance you can put up some footage of how you actually cut out the dashboard?
Looks great thanks for sharing! Where did you get the tamiya glue bottle holder?
A friend gave it to me after he watched me tip over my glue (the things I DO NOT show on my videos!!). I don't know where he got this one but eBay has several similar.

The King hauler/Grand hauler will it work on the Aeromax?
That is Nice Dump Truck Picture on your New webpage. I watched you build that one.
Q: Is the Hitec Aurora 9x compartable with the MFC-01 unit ?
I am sure the software in that radio would support it. The big issue with most radios is how to make the left stick (throttle) self centering.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks for that, I'll keep it in mind.
What or how would you fill the need for a dolly to haul two tanker ? (1/14 Tamiya scale)
Would the Arox dash panel fit into the cabs of the king hauler & the grand hauler???
Awesome work, thanks for sharing this. Can I ask: How did you cut the dashboard what tools you used? Or you bought already cutted dash? Thanks!
I just use a drill for holes and then a knife to open them up square if I need to. No special tools.
I want on dashboard grandhauler ,is possible? Thank you
Hi Bob, what colors did you use on the the Arocs dash. Thxs
Good old Tamiya Gray primer for the light color and Tamiya XF24 for the dark color.
Is there enough room in the hauler dash to use the pre-wired led bulbs you sell?
Sure is!
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Will be placing an order soon. Thank you for the prompt reply.
Can you use your pre wired led lights on the mfc alternate port? If so how many bulbs can you safely use on each port?
Yes, watch part 2 of my Grand Hauler custom build video for ideas. Don't know the limit but will probably handle a lot.
Yes, I'm impatiently waiting for part 3. Lol
How do you make a layout for the holes for the instruments in the dash
I just eyeball it off the decals
where u get it
Do you sell finish dash?
👍
👍👍👍
Why are you using red LED's
The real truck has red dash backlighting.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Oh cool. I did not know that. Thank you for your answer. Russ from Oregon
