I bought the white loop because I like the idea of switching two loops in one click of a button. My set up was: 3 overdrives, 1 distortion and 1 fuzz in one loop (red light) and clean boost, phaser and reverb in another loop (my clean loop/green light). My plan works, however I was dissappointed because it seem not a true bypass (tone suck) and it creates alot of noise when using my overdrive/s. My tone changed color and it’s created sharp humming noise when I turn on my overdrive, more noise when turning two overdrives together. The two extra power supply is unusable because it adds more noise to your toggled overdrives. For my clean loops, it works fine except for the tone suck. My overdrives where Tumnus, OCD and BOSS super overdrive. Other high gain pedals: REV g3 and Velvet Fuzz. I want this to work one loop. Hope to hear from you soon!
I have the White Loop. I already had something very similar to the Black Loop, but the White Loop, as simple as it is, easily solves a couple of problems that you could otherwise only solve by using an expensive switching system. Certainly when you’re smart enough to put not just one, but two or more pedals in each of the two loops, you can save yourself a whole bunch of issues and add possibilities you would otherwise not have. Bear in mind that you don’t HAVE to use the loops. So one thing I do is to run a bunch of different gain pedals through the green side and then use them as if they wouldn’t be in a loop at all. Meaning, I have a couple of different pedals I use as my main gain pedal and I switch on another as a solo boost, just by stacking one or two. But if I want to use a Muff style pedal like the T4 by Browne Amplifications it’s going to be too much by definition UNLESS I have it in my other loop, because in that case it’s just a clean(ish) amp with the T4 doing what it does best. But it’s not the only pedal I have in that loop with the T4. It’s just that I chose to switch the other pedals off at a convenient moment before the change. When you give yourself the time to think things through before you build your (next?) pedalboard, you can do wonders with just this one simple pedal. You know what might be better? Using TWO White Loops for very different things, or to make it a bit easier for yourself. Because when you start putting 8 different pedals in a single loop, you’ll be forced to think too hard to avoid forgetting which pedals to turn on or off at what moment. So don’t get too overexcited. 😅
Great demo. I've been thinking about making my own single or double loop pedal for a long time. The Black Loop is exactly what I had in mind, I just didn't know about it! Went ahead and bought one. Thanks for introducing me to it.
Black Loop. Easy to use and inexpensive. The One Control Salamandra Tail Loop is a sweet triple-loop switcher. You can re-route the pedal order, presets, BJF buffer, and a small footprint. It ain't cheap tho. I have an Analogman Dual on the board atm, it's got a TRS-in and comes with a remote. If you have a larger switcher with TRS-out, the AM effectively adds two more loops to your rig.
Does the loops come in cascade? I mean, if I activate both, the guitar will split in 2 different paths and then come together as one or will the loop 2 engage after loop 1 return signal? Thank you!
These things look great!! I found out that my rig sounds best going straight into my amp but I have several effects that I might want to kick in now and then (wah, phase, OD, etc...) but I don't want them in the chain all the time. I think the Tri loop with it's buffer and ability to do tap tempo will be perfect for me. Wish I knew about these things before!
Is-it possible to use a switch looper to connect 2 or more pedals in parallel ? Many switchers allow from 2 to 8 loops, like the Joyo PXL8 or this one @t which allows 3 loops, but I am not sure that putting pedals in parallel work because I tried to do it with 2 pedals simply using cables and Vintage EHX 5X Junction Mixers but it doesn't work, sound is horrible probably because of connecting pedals outputs in parallel I think. So is this thing: @t the only one possible to use for parallel connections, because it is a mixer in fact... ? What do you think about it ?
How do we know it doesn't produce loud clicks or any other nonsense if you take a big pause and even turn the guitar volume off before switching?! Who mutes their guitar before switching a loop for a chorus/solo in the middle of a song?! When demoing loopers it's is a MUST to switch loops them on and off WHILE the guitar sustains.
Damn rights! Trying to find a video of this in real action and no where and nobody has recorded it this way. Just want a loop switch that isn’t loud as fuck when switching.
Yo J - quick question. I have 2 amps. 1x Fender GTX100 with Effects Loop and a Positive Grid Spark40. How would you recommend using a Black Loop and an ABY Pedal so that I can use my physical pedals and the modelling of the amps before my looper pedal?
I have a very basic question. I have a Zonk Machine Fuzz pedal that sounds best when combined with a Bogner Harlow Boost/Bloom pedal to take off a little harshness fattens it up a bit. What I want to do is to have a switch that engages both pedals at once for a lead tone, that's it. With that said, what is my best option here? Sorry, I know that's probably silly but I don't have a ton of experience with switchers or effects loops having played mostly fender tube combo amps most of my time playing.
@jayleonardj So if I'm running a noise gate in my effects loop that I always want on but I'm also running a delay, reverb, and line boost in the fx loop that I want to control as a solo boost function, Will this work for me? Also how would I wire (cable routing) it? What is the purpose of this pedal being powered if it is just a signal router? I'm looking for true bypass. Thanks for the video
Can you run a pre amp pedal delay and reverb through any loop on this and through amps effects loop with this? I want to be able to use my amps pre amp and over drive and switch to a preamp pedal for a clean channel on my lunch box II 5150 while using delay and reverb with both preamp.
Thanks for your video, i have a question, would any of these work with looper pedal? I'm running a Microkorg through Ditto X2 (it has two buttons, one to start and stop) and Juno DS through another Ditto X2. After I've finished looping, I want to be able to stop/start both Ditto's with the press of a button.
Could I use this two loop looper with my regular 5 loop looper where I can use the two loops here to move my Strymon Eco between the front of the amp and the effects loop? Basically run loop one to patch into the amp’s effects loop, and loop two to go into the front of the amp, and use the Input/Output on the two loop looper into the In/Out of the Strymon Eco. Would that work? so when I press loop 1, the Eco is in the amp’s effect loop, when I press loop 2, I am now in front of the amp
Where is the guitar signal going to? You've used up all your in/outs plus the input on your amp so even if the 2 looper is going thru the 5 loop switch you can't do your loop one (to effects loop) on the 2 looper without something going to the input of the amp other than your loop two on the 2 looper. You would have to have 2 of the same pedals and that would defiantly work. Drop another 4 or 500 on another Strymon Eco and save yourself a lot of aspirin!
I think it would be useful, if it were used to switch between preset sounds. Like, loop 1 could have overdrive, reverb, and term, and then with one click it switches to loop 2, with fuzz, phaser, and delay. That’s how I see it being useful.

Bought both of these a while ago ( thanks to your killer demo) - back here to reacquainted myself with what did what - thanks again
🤘🎸💥

Would be great if you could run us through how to use the triloop as well. Your explanation is quick and to the point.
Love the loop box!!

Sweet. Thank you. Just ordered the black from prymaxe. Thanks friend!

Nice playing and nice video, best one about these pedals on youtube.
I want to hook up two main pedals for rythm and an overdrive with reverb for leads.
So can you use this as effects loop if you don't have one for black one
Hi! On the Black Loop, how are the two loops connected please when both are engaged? Parallel or serie? Thanks!!!
Got the black one to switch the Rockman X-100 in / out Two British DSL- 100's
Thank you, I think the white box is the right one for me too. You have great energy man . Where did you study?
Went to the Berklee College of Music :) Great memories and life-long friends made there!
Thanks again for you videos, so informative and helpful. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
great video...straight to the point. thank you

Does the White Loop allow for both loops to run simultaneously like the Black Loop allows if needed to be configured that way? Thanks.
The white loop is more of an AB switcher with a loop bypass. So you can't really really do both loops at the same time.
@@JayLeonardJ Thanks for the confirmation, Jay....much appreciated! Keep up the good work out there!
Help! When I press switch, there is a big popping sound there, anyone knows the solution? Thanks!
Basically just relocating footswitches.
Definitely not as versatile as something programmable like an ES-5
@jayleonardj

Nasty Tele, great demo..
gald to hear some 'always' lick!
How may pedals can i connect to each side?
As many as you want :)
Muito bom amigo , me fala a marca desses plugs 90 panqueca !

are these non programable or programable ?
Does anyone get a answer from this guy?!?!
Sometimes :)
Don't see the point of the white one, nobody over the age of 2 has a foot too small to step on two switches spaced that far apart 😐
I think it would be useful, if it were used to switch between preset sounds. Like, loop 1 could have overdrive, reverb, and term, and then with one click it switches to loop 2, with fuzz, phaser, and delay. That’s how I see it being useful.
GOD Bless You 🎸🎸🎸
Thanks!
I thought this was about about looping.
Smh 😂😂😂😊
pano ma connect mga pedals using this pedal, may video ka?
San makabili nyan?
Very annoying video, much longer than what it should be...
It's only 6 mins long
